Great athlete, just seems not to show up at times. Make him shoot outside instead of finishing at the rim and Bledsoe doesn't win. But like I said a great athlete.
Sparta looks bigger because of its upper level but still Sequatchie Co. is a bit smaller, but has hosted the Region before and Brainerd and Howard packed the gym.
As of right now I predict a complete 8AA sweep come region time. Bledsoe has 1 player who disappears at times, ND has no size, Sequatchie has no outside shooters.
Its not to bad actually, the folks from Livingston and Smith can tell you their opinions on it. Picked a bad year for it to be in Dunlap seeing how 3 of the 4 if not all 4 are from 8AA.
I don't think anyone in 7AA will be able to play with the 4 out of 8AA. Bledsoe has the potential but both Livingston and Dekalb have the players to guard Jamal one on one and both will have a huge size advantage. Sequatchie has the size but not the shooters on the perimeter to contend.
New brand ? Grundy runs the wrong offense for the type of players they have. You had to pull away late last year to beat a Sequatchie team that went 2-8.
Most people are upset because of the hire just because of 2 reasons.
1. They didn't hire Brandon Johnson who is the home town guy.
2. Most of the booster remember losing to Coach Colquit while he was at Marion.
Personally the only problem I have is his age and how long he will be here.
Sequatchie is still a year away from being relevant in the district. Still have a majority of the team are underclassman. Grundy at best 7-3 with losses to Pitt, Signal, and ND.
Sequatchie isn't going to get an "established" head coach. Program just doesn't have the glamour of say S.Pitt. Best chance of getting someone is a former player or someone who has been on staff before.
Sequatchie Co. moved to 4-1 in district play after beating Notre Dame tonight. In the last 2 games the Indians have beaten the top 2 pre-season district favorites. This team replaced all but one major contributor off of the team that went to sub-state last year.
