Smyrna has a coach that does all of those things. Coach Childs will have 4 to 5 players sign D1/D1AA scholarships, and prob another 4 that will sign under D1AA. He cuts highlights, sends film, contacts college coaches, and follow up with them. i know this because he is responsible for getting my son a scholarship last year. High School Coaches do not get paid to do these things. Its just good to know that we have cretin coaches that go above and beyond their duties to truly help kids. Thank you coach Childs. and to coaches on other teams that really care about players future.

WoW! You are right only had 6A for two years. Only team who has won 6A ran spread. I guess you think everyone should run spread. What a dumb statement. rankin could have ran wing-t, spread, I, wishbone, single-wing, whatever. He would have won. The reason is that he had all the talent in Rutherford co. Coach A has scored a ton of points. Its not the offense. They give up a to many points. Off should not have to score 28 or more points to win every game. The talent is all over rutherford co. now, compared to when rankin was at riverdale. You better hope you hang on to Coach A and be thankful of the job he has done with the warriors since coach rankin has left. Just my opinion

Very true Steve Wilson is the best QB in Rutherford Co. Top 3 in mid state and top 10 in the state. If he can develop talent like that, than if he does go to Ravenwood, Williamson Co. better look out!

#5 looked good in practice running around. I guess he is healed. Read on here where he was hurt, but yesterday at practice he was running fine. They were lining him up at WR. though? Not sure what that is about. Only 3 days to go!

Mt. Juliet Comes to Smyrna Friday night with one of the states most powerful offensives. they are averaging a whopping 48.5 points a game. They pretty much ran through the Sumner county region and now look to prove themselves against the big boys of Rutherford county. Look for this to be a shoot out with Smyrna winning 42-28.

Its going to be marryville vs. Riverdale and they will play winner of blackman vs. Smyrna

Mathers has not racked up that many yards in district play(over 1700). Most of those yards came against inferior opponents. Where he probably had over 1400 yards against the likes of Station Camp (1-8) Cane Ridge (3-6)Lincoln Co (4-5). Just saying he has not been as explosive in district play.
