  1. What is pitiful is the people spouting off as if they knew what actually goes on in the typical private schools when you can tell by what they say they have no clue.
  2. Cheatham has a nice team but don't get carried away by last night's blowout. FRA could not have beat it's Freshman team last night. I've watched these same kids for 3 years and I've never witnessed anything like last night. After watching about 28 quarters this year FRA has played up to expectations in 4 of them. Where the bunch is that played good last year, fought thru more injuries and adversities than very many knew about, I have no idea. Hopefully 2006 will bring something better, there is no where to go but up(I hope). FRA played pretty good defense last night in the first half and that was it. Congrats to Cheatham, they played like they wanted to win, hustling to the end even against no competition. Cheatham's "star" was alittle off on her shooting but the point guard picked up the slack and had a nice game.
  3. You may be correct. Although FRA has 5 of 6 returning off the Regional winning team they have been very inconsistent this year. However, they have shown periods of good play but none of it was evident in the DCA game. Against Davidson they had a comfortable lead almost the entire game until Davidson hit 3 threes in the last minute including a 4 point play. FRA won by 2 but it wasn't that close. FRA can play well----will they is the question.
  4. Saw Dresden play DCA and FRA. Dresden beat DCA, a good team lacking size in a close game. FRA with tall experienced players blew out Dresden but in defense of Dresden they played a rested FRA team immediately after the DCA game. Neither Dresden, DCA or FRA was impressive in the playday(IMO)
  5. You are right! It was Gibson County----guess I saw too many games. I'll see if I can fix the original post.
  6. At FRA's Playday last Sat. Gibson County was one of the 11 teams that participated. Gibson County's's # 13 hit 6-8 3's against FRA. Three of them beyond the NBA's 3 point line. She obviously had the green light when she stepped over the half court line! What a shooter!
  7. Anybody got teams and scheduling information? Thanks
  8. Does anyone know of a Fall league for Middle School teams? I know Hooptown has one for High School but I haven't seen one for Middle School. Any help is appreciated.
  9. Watched them play FRA. Very fast and very deep. Several players made some really key plays when down 6 in the 4th quarter ----ran FRA out of gas in the OT's. Can't imagine how Wayne County beat them as bad as they did---especially after CPA(a team FRA beat 4 times) beat Wayne County. Seemed to be a class group and would have to be one of the favorites.
  10. A friend of mines daughter was invited to play/tryout with this team but neither my friend nor I can find out anything about them. Google produced no results. Anyone have any info-- pros or cons on this group? Ernesto Ramos lll is the coach.
  11. Now that we are down to the "Sweet 16" how is it decided who refs the State and Sub-State games?
  12. FRA may surprise ST just like they surprised DCA with only 11 TO's agaist DCA's average of 30. If your press can't disrupt FRA don't expect to win. FRA has been up and down due to sickness and multiple injuries-----some of the injuries are still around but they will be close to full speed tommorrow night.
  13. CPA held the ball from the start. FRA played no ball control----they missed some gimmie shots that allowed CPA to continue to hold the ball. While it was one of the most gut wrenching games to watch CPA got what they were looking for ---a shot at the end to win. The CPA coach did what he thought would give his team a chance----it almost worked. What it wasn't was much of an advertisement for Girls BB. Too bad for the nice crowd that attended the game. In the words of Eddie Fogler "the better team won here tonight"--but just spare me from having to watch anything like this again.
  14. Score was 51-49. FRA had a shot at the buzzer to win in regulation. DCA had the ball at the end of OT, 2 points down
  15. FRA took good care of the ball and, combined with good post play, came away with the victory. Hats off to the team. They have fought through numerous injuries resulting in losses that have taken them off the radar screen but make no mistake they are capable of giving anyone a run for their money!
  16. I've seen the previous threads and have grown weary of the "Cheating" theme. Continuing saying you got "cheated" takes away from a very well played game by FRA(See other posts) and not so good a game by Clarkrange. You overlook the fact that the game was not going your way from the git-go. Clarkrange should certainly be favored to win tonight but on Dec 4th FRA was the better team.
  17. As one who actually saw the game I say Clarkrange is certainly an excellent team but in the game with FRA they couldn't hit the goal, made several silly fouls and had no answer the FRA's size. They also did not disrupt FRA with the press. Blaming the referee's for losing is ridiculous.
