SH defense looks like they have no plan they just rely on speed to help them win. Looking back on Greenville and Mo West, when the talent is matched up or better SH struggles on Defense. DB will beat them by 3 TD's if SC and Nelson don't get the defense fixed and in a hurry. If THS can block the blitz they may give SH a game.

Good matchup for the falcons. I like our chances this week. I hope our kids learned for last week and get better. I hear #4 is east go to man and I see our defense making it a priority to stop him. The game came down to north making plays and our kids not and a few flags in key situations. Im not bashing you or the coaches but a some point you have to see that when the game is on the field its in the kids hands and they have to be the ones to make plays. We didnt make plays its simple! This team will get it together. They showed a lot of great things last night just hated to see north make plays instead of us. You wanna support the team right? Hey the coaches are part of the team!

I think last night was a great team effort! The boys played hard an never once gave up. Some so called "FANS" just worry about their son or brother insead of the whole team. Thats the problem! The boys have NO reason the hold their heads down. Thay made some mistakes last night so lets learn from it and get better.

Betsy will beat boone. Betsy has the best qb this side of knoxville. kid has a gun and they are one of the best coached teams in the area.

north always plays volunteer tough but if the kids fight and want it more they can win. been since 2003 volunteer opened with a victory and 2000 since they opened 2-0 if what i read is true. Who is the Marsh kid you are talking about? i have never heard of him.

I agree! I am not trying to be negative either. I am a supporter and i played at vhs. i have high hopes for this team. got good experience and some young talent too. got to see some jv games last year and the young kids put up a fight in every game i seen at the jv level. not sure what the record was at that level but they played well and that was without alot of junior i believe, had alot of fr and so players. the kids hit the weights hard and train well in the summer this team could be a playoff team i really believe that. i had heard that we dropped betsy and picked up sullivan east is that true? What does the schedule look like anyone know?

I agree with you. But it comes down to the kids wanting to win and executing the plays called. At some point this town has to realize that not everything is the coaches fault. It is also my understanding the j lawson is playing which will help the team not only on offense but on defense as well.

Parsons/ Lawson/ Shanks/ Quillen Sometimes your best defense is the offense! Need to move the ball better and keep the defense off the field! I think this team has a good chance of winning 5-7 games the players just need to believe!

I heard today that DB will not be bringing thier band or atleast not all of them. If they bring a band it will be like a pep band so that will open up some seats. I also heard that watson maybe giving it up at seasons end. Anyone heard anything about that?

There is alot in this game for the falcons. 2-8 record after last seasons 0-10. Also finihing 6th in the Big 8 which would be a good step for the falcons. Volunteer has more speed but central has the better qb of the 2 teams. Should be a great game

all i know is that i have seen volunteer play 4 games and they have to talent to compete with almost anyone in this area. They did not play well last friday for some reason. they came out flat and did not look ready to play. i have no clue if it was from being out of school all week or what. im just tired of hearing these parents fuss about coaching and blah blah blah and then they decide to fight like a bunch of 5 year old kids....over a cow bell and a blow horn. and all i did was sit and and laugh about they stupidity of the parents. crying shame!!!! GROW UP!!!

I'll agree to that. The only thing is will volunteer come our ready to play or will they play flat and terrible like they did last friday against sullivan south. I have seen both teams play after friday night. The falcons offense can confuse you even from the stands and not knowing where the ball is going, but the physical style of play that the blazers play with will be hard to handle for the falcons
