  1. Kyle Smith last few outings have ben very good, which is good news for the Bears suffering through injuries.
  2. I know where you are coming from, you are a fan of the team, and sometimes fans are like mothers they do not see the forrest for the trees.....but that's ok, these young men need support and encouragement from their fans. I'm sure they will be better next year, so will the the other teams like Beech with 5 jr's.......the point is if MJ does not have any significant size coming up for next year, again, they will be a better than average team due to their hustle, but not a title winning team...... Chowbay is a great player, but you have to have more than one player. Defense is great but they count points. Now it you want to talk about superiority your school's baseball team is what we should discuss next. By the way to both or your recent posters, Jr's are not considered "young" granted starting 5 might be considered a bit young. There are upperclassman and lower classman, your cutting hairs when you talk about late season jr's being young
  3. Now do you see what I am talking about, the box score from last night........Chowbay 28 then a basket or two from anyone else that played.........it's not going to work, not to mention the techincal fouls, and the quarreling between teammates.
  4. Yes I think we are getting closer, I mean no disrespect to the other jr's but I like to call it like I see it. They do play well as a team, they do hustle, and they do play defense but they do not have a post player that can make them a very good team. I did some looking and other than Chowbay, they no one close to averaging 10 points a game.....I think one of the post players is very smart around the goal, but in this league AAA he's undersized at 6'2 , the other post player has not sharpened his skills and the rest of them are very small. These are the reasons I think they do not have the talent to win the tourney... Next year they should be a bit better, but who knows what the other schools will have. From the players I have seen play, they have a very small line-up.
  5. I never said that they were a terrible team, or that they don't hustle, I merely was saying that I don't see them winning the district title due to the fact that they cannot score enough points. Chowbay is a good player and will only get better, but the other jr's in my opinion have peaked, and are undersized and it will be tough for them to win it all. They are not my favorite to win. Maybe they will pull it off, but I doubt it. They have limited 3-point threats, and no solid post play. It is obvious to me that you are a fan of Coach Allen and I have no issue with that, but from what I have witnessed he is lacking in some "off court" areas. And you are correct the Clarksville win was a good win. And I would agree with you if they had been able to win a few of those close games but they didn't.
  6. First of all let me say that I have nothing against the MJ program or Coach Allen. But the team is 18-8 you can say well they almost beat this team, they lost to that team, their one game from winning the district blah blah blah whatever, they are 18-8.......the entire talent pool in this district is down from years past. In your own statement they lost three district games by one possession.....and you call that good coaching? I'm am sure the players are trying as hard as they can....we have different opinion, you think 18-8 is great, I think it's slightly above average. 23-3 that's a good record..... by the way Hillsboro is pathetic.....I have no family playing on this team.....but my guess is that you do >
  7. I have seen them play 10 times this season, Chowbay has no offensive help. Their defense is not bad, but no title this year. I mean it's not like Allen is going to out coach someone.
  8. The jr. class is stacked with talent as is the soph class.
  9. In my humble opinion, MJ is sitting on 5-6 likely D1 players.....don't be deceived, it's a factory over there.
  10. Told you guys, WC is good, MJ is better, Riverdale is best.
  11. How did a hard foul tear an ACL ? Seems like ACL happens a lot with girls basketball
  12. No way on gods green earth WC beats MJ tonight.....stop your dreaming. WC is good ...no doubt about it, but this time MJ is better
  13. You people are passionate about your A ball.........I wish the AAA schools were..
  14. If I had to rank them......... RD MJ WC then JC or LHS
  15. I can see a split between MJ and WC ......both beat FC jmho
  16. roll tide..... MJ not that good......average
  17. RD will go undeafeated and win the state title unless they have an awful night, but with their coach that's doubtful, and while MJ and JC are good teams RD is better ......speed kills in girls basketball, size is not the factor in girls high school basketball that it is in boys....girls do not play "at the rim" so to speak, girls play for "position" and "pressure" to create turnovers..... Now if the stars are straight one night and the moon is full maybe MJ beats RD....but JC cannot beat either....unless MJ and RD had massive injuries, which we all know happens, but we hope it does not.
  18. Are these not the reasons that every team loses and or wins?....missed opportunities, missed shots......."your only as good as your last game" that's it ...that's all there is. Currently, MJ is better than Blackman.....Riverdale is better than MJ....can MJ beat Riverdale, on a perfect night. can Blackman beat MJ likewise.......
  19. I wonder why they do not try to play in some of the top tournies in the southeast or midwest.
  20. MJ has a great team no doubt about it....I hope they do well.
  21. I heard they lost their center last week
