Are Wilson Central's girls as good as their record reflects? Who is standing out for them?

Not true. He started subbing in the second qtr. Plus, the clock does not actually run until the 4th quarter under the new rule. What suggestions do you have when this situation occurs? It is obviously not beneficial to either team, but what do you do?

She prefers the 2 guard position but ran the point position in AAU last year.

My 15U daughter needs to find an AAU team. She has played with Team Pride and Tennessee Elite in the past, but because of mom's lack of information, tried out for the 14U Pride team this year. Last year she would have been eligible for the younger team, but since the age/grade change does not. If anyone has openings in the Wilson Co. or surrounding area, please contact me at 615-478-2794. A. She would not be compared to Clark. She is a great player in her own right but not yet the caliber of Clark. B. Why WOULDN'T she want to go to MJ? You WCHS people need to look at your feeder schools to see what's coming. I don't think you will see much other than the two coming from WJB. C. She couldn't attend MJ anyway unless she lives in THE ZONE!

I agree. Mayberry would be an excellent choice. I believe he was an assistant at THS in the early 80's. Great guy.

The MJ freshmen should adhere to the quote on youvegotafriend5's posts: Be more worried with your character than your reputation, your character is what you really are, your reputation is merely what others think of you. People can talk all they want. These girls have worked hard on their fundamentals and game since they were in 2nd and 3rd grade. We take it seriously in Mt. Juliet - with our own hometown girls. They are committed to their coaches, teammates, and most importantly themselves. They are girls of character who get respect from their teachers for their grades and attitudes and are role models for future Lady Bears. Maybe they shouldn't be playing a freshman schedule. Maybe they should be playing a jv schedule. Regardless, they are all girls of character and do not deserve to be slighted or talked negatively about because they are talented. Tonight, they played Springfield and DID NOT press hardly at all, played a half court offense, and still won by a huge margin. Most programs are not as blessed to have the number of quality coaches and players MJ has and can move their 2 or 3 frosh to varsity. Our varsity does not have room! Recognize and appreciate their talents; don't run them in the ground. Our Lady Bears will be around awhile. Just sit back and enjoy the game!
