  1. As Lee Corso would say, "Not so fast my friend!". I'd put Greeneville for sure, and maybe Webb when it plays good, against these two. Definatley against Maryville for sure. To say that these two are in a class of their own is a fair argument if you look at their programs' history. But history doesn't win you football games. I think Greeneville and Alcoa had pretty identical years, but greeneville just lacks a win against a team like Maryville. WEEK 5 NEXT YEAR BABAAAAAAAAY Cant Wait! Maryville will be the class of TN high school football next year. http://www.johnsoncitypress.com/Sports/article.php?ID=84257
  2. Like Alcoa, Greeneville has it's idiots as fans too--- 99 percent of Greeneville fans are great. Both teams went this year playing mostly backups in the second half, so both teams would have shattered the record if they would have played their starters all 4 quarters throughout the season.... Congrats to Alcoa on keeping the dynasty going, and Congrats to Greeneville on a 15-0 season and winning the state championship!!!! BTW Greeneville only went for 2 to secure the record, not to run up the score. Cant wait for WEEK 5 next year
  3. You are an idiot. your comments are very "lackluster"
  4. Right on brotha...our D has been GREAT all year. As an opposing coach you really have to just pick your poison when going up against our D. But fulton will move the ball, hopefully as little as possible- I just think it will be through the air when they do
  5. No you just seem to think you know everything about Greeneville football because you post on here all day. And the second someone says something other than, "Greeneville by 50 at the half" you go up in arms. They're gonna have they're hands full this week- I hope we win by 50, but i'm just saying i think fulton can hurt us deep. And we're still going to win. That possible? Not trying to impress any body or act knowledgable. I just hate how some of our fans (including you) act like we've already got this thing won. We havent won anything yet. How dare i call you out??? hahaha please...."what a twerp"
  6. I'm a Greeneville fan, but it takes no idiot to tell that this will be the toughest game they will play in a while- and i actually think it will be the toughest team they've played all year. Fulton is a different team in that they have much more speed than any team that GHS has played, and I think if we get out hot early, Fulton will fold and it will be over early. But i really do think they pose matchup problems. We can match their speed (and more), but i think where they can hurt us is with the deep ball. Our corners MUST step this week and play their best game of the year. Needless to say..... Greeneville-38 Fulton-21 --And barb, please go ahead and tell me how wrong i am, you always do. Since you run **** around here......
  7. Why did Elizabethton drop Greeneville??? Anyone know? Probably Greenevilles biggest rivalry game and it won't be happening anymore. Kind of a shame....
  8. The way people talk, you would think Alcoa would be playing in the SEC.....last time i checked, these guys are human beings- not some unstoppable, flawless machines.. (They are VERY good though). Greeneville has arguabley it's best team ever, and i would actually put money on Greeneville winning 2-3 out of 5 games against Alcoa. But who cares, because there is no way to tell except for on the field. Hopefully they get this whole situation worked out for week 5 next year- it would be nice to see these two powerhouses collide. Do some "resource"! hahahahahahhahaha...whoever said that
  9. Playing easy schedule catches up with west greene. They will give austin east all they got though. Austin East- 42 West Greene- 28
  10. Not sure about what East Ridge has, but i am guessing this will be the toughest game for greeneville since the THS game. I think we will see a lopsided score at the end of this game, just not over by halftime. Greeneville-59 East Ridge- 13 And hopefully Greeneville starts passing the ball around a little bit. There will come a game where they will have to..... ---Good luck to both teams, and praying for safe travels for the East Ridge team and fans
  11. Yeah without carmichael id say betsy would have won..ha..are you telling me carmichael is responsible for 50 points himself? People always try and find ways to take away from what hard work and dedication produce. The kid is in Greeneville because he is now living with his aunt and uncle in a better situation, not because he was recruited?? Are you serious? And IF we continue to win, we'll take our "little gold ball" anyway we can get it. But i can guaruntee you its not through recruiting players. (or paying for wins with equipment, or playing down a classification) ill save you some time and effort....
  12. Well said my friend. Well said. Greeneville was picked to win state even before willie decided to play. And classless would be cheering when rollins get hurt. the whole chanting sucks thing is all good. To the CD team- try the whole hustling on and off the field program. It makes you all look like slaps when you walk everywhere
  13. Ohhhh a DB guy hahaha.........dang. yall were terrible last year. Winning feels good dont it?
  14. Yeaaaaaah about that....you aren't fooling anyone acting like a maryville or alcoa fan- im sure you are probly just another ticked off county kid. And if you are a maryville or alcoa fan- why are you wasting your time with a team as "bad" as greeneville. And please take a glance at greenevilles schedule and point out to me a 1a or 2a team. Really, I mean it. On your next post, list all of the 1a and 2a teams they play. And o yeah, I would say that you are very accurate with your statement about second place being the first loser. But what would that make Chuckey Doak? hahaha.... And if all we play is 1a and 2a teams, then what classification would Cosby, Unaka, and North Greene fall under? C'mon maaaan get owned again
  15. The officiating in this game was among the worst I had ever seen. I understand the tssaa does their best in trying to get good referees on the field, but these guys really let the game get out of hand. Greeneville was clearly the better team, but what appeared to me as what happened is that the officials were calling to help out Chuckey Doak. In the first quarter, the clock ran for two minutes through an injury or timeout (cant remember which) and not one of the however many refs could figure out that the clock needed to be stopped. It literally took the greeneville coaches to run halfway to mid field to get these guy's attention to stop the clock. On CD's first half touchdown, a broken play turned into a TD. A flag was thrown, then picked up when they saw the catch made. Another instance- Greeneville tried to sneak an on side where the kicker taps the ball strait ten yards, kick off team blocks, and the kicker falls on the ball in legal territory. So the play was executed perfectly, the ball spoted 11 yards from kick off. Then, another ref comes up and spots the ball to where greeneville does not get the ten yards they need. Aside from this, multiple unsportsman like conduct penalties were called on Greeneville, including a player getting thrown out of the game. GHS had at least 2, maybe 3 long touchdowns called back because of VERY questionable penalties. The penalties they called on Chuckey Doak were only the most obvious calls that they essentially had to make. None the less, greeneville still kills cd....go figure
