  1. I love how I'm the idiot here when for the last two weeks my predictions have been dead on. I guess I didn't realize how upset everyone would get when I equalized the great and vaunted Mathers, but please read exactly what I wrote. 3-4 type of athletes. As we all know, it takes more than one person to make a successful team, as well as great coaching. Coach Shad is an amazing coach, and the Blackman team as a whole is great. Awesome OL that blazes (no pun intended) the trail for Mathers as he apparently walks on water down the inferno. I guarntee you that Fern Creek KY had an athlete (#1) that far surpasses anyone that will be on that field tonight. However, I digress.... I love the smack talk, but you all now see where we come from in dealing with fbforme, he delicate and it's hard to see through those rose colored glasses. Hopeing for a great football game tonight and I'm sticking with my previous prediction. Rebels by 4
  2. Please watch your mouth. The young man that you are refering to is by far NOT Franklin's best offensive lineman.
  3. Just to let the Blackman faithful know, fbforme is an overzealous (and delusional) Rebel fan. Every week he gets on here and blows smoke at our opponents and makes rediculous predictions that everyone has since learned to ignore. On Franklin's behalf, I apologize for anything that he posts on here. FBFORME, no one, I repeat, no one looks forward to your predictions and we know that isn't cherry in your Dr. Pepper. No surprises there. Now, as far as facilities and fan base, Blackman blows Franklin out of the water by far. Murfreesboro as a whole outmatches Wilco as far as athletic support. Kind of crazy with the amount of income around here, but who knows. As for the Oakland game, I'm pretty sure they were only down Tee Mayberry. Buddy Anderson played (and very well) and the Franklin defense shut him down as well as knocking their 2nd tailback out with a concussion. So if that counts for missing the game, guess you're right. Everyone knows how good of a football player I'Tavious Mathers is. To say that Blackman puts all of their eggs in his basket is extremely foolish. They have 3 very good receivers that can pull down the ball at any time..... when the QB can get it to them. Just to say to the Blackman faithful, keep underestimating the Rebel Defense, that has held their opponents to an average of 10 points per game (weak schedule, I know, but I guarantee you that Hopkinsville, Fern Creek, Ooltewah, and Hillsboro had 3 if not 4 Mathers type athletes on their teams) so show a little bit of respect, or if not, just earn it tomorrow as you watch the game unfold. On the other side of the ball, PBD, your son is one heck of a football player. He and #11 (Thompson I believe) are two of the best linebackers I have seen in HS football for however long I've been around it. However, Brentwood and Oakland had one of the best overall defenses Franklin has seen, and I think in those two games the Franklin OL gave up 2 sacks (mainly against Oakland) So, it's no secret that Franklin will probably pass, and it's no secret that Blackman is going to bring the heat. Again, just keep underestimating Franklin in that aspect, please. Sean Dye actually missing the first 7 game of the season and has about 200 rushing yards off about 20 carries since he's been back. Very versital back that also missed 2nd half of the season last year. With all of that being said, and up until 10:45 last week I would have never thought this, but I am sticking with the Rebels in this one, but not by any margin predicted on here but rather sticking with the Patton margin on the Tennessean, just in reverse Franklin 28 - Blackman 24 BTW, love the smack talk. Best fans around in the boro
  4. I just threw up in my mouth a little bit...... I can't even stomach your ignorance Let's talk offense first. OL played pretty well, as even you can understand by Franklin's stats, they slung the ball all over the field last week and did not run (something like 78 yards) The OL had a good game upfront PASS BLOCKING. Pass blocking, young one, is not nearly anything like run blocking. I did not question, the play calling as you accuse me of, rather the lack of confidence. If you watched the game, Brentwood out physicaled Franklin up front, no bones about it. In Clayton's mind, maybe he is thinking why go to the ground when the ball in the air is working so well......except those 4 ints. Oh yeah And I said the DL played pretty well, but if they had played GOOD ENOUGH maybe they would have stopped the run. Look at Brentwood's stats, they had over 300 yards rushing. How do you think the front (which includes LBs) played sir? Unless I'm wrong, you're the one that said the FHS defensive coaches made NO adjustments at halftime (I think Mr Hogan can back me up on that one) And finally, being a fan and supporting your team does not having anything to do with being delusional. As I said last week, I wanted Franklin to win, but facts are facts, Franklin got beat down up front and couldn't stop Brentwood's run game, that coupled with 4 ints and a bogus fumble call by the referees gave the game to Brentwood. They played a good game and made less mistakes, which is exactly what they needed. Anyways, if Franklin can keep from making those little mistakes tonight, they can pull the win out (but not by two TDs)
  5. fbforme, please just stop posting on here. It's painful, it really is. You're a fool if you truly think that Franklin is going to beat a powerful Oakland team by two scores, but you're shown that you're a fool for several weeks now, so there's really not anything new there. For the whole week I've just been waiting for you to say that I (and a few others) were right about Brentwood last week. Not surprised by your pride though. You need to take a page out of Coach Clayton's book ....."excuses are for losers" As for this game, now reading that Tee Mayberry might be hurt sheds a new light on this game, however one player does not make an entire offense (unless you're at Blackman) Oakland is a very good and powerful football team, with a very strong defensive front. I hope that Franklin is able to establish the run a little tonight instead of completely bailing on it like last week. True that they racked up over 380 passing yards and were utilizing BHS's weakness, but the QB also threw 4 ints, which was a big part of the loss. I think that Hogan is right, the team that ends up being disciplined and no turnovers will pull this one out. Can Franklin respond after being beaten down up front last week? The offensive line play for FHS last week was phenominal, but do the coaches not trust their run blocking? Also, for the most part the DL played well, but not much LB play when it was desperatly needed. Not to mention the two deep balls that both scored Hopefully the Rebels step it up this week. Everyone has counted them out except for themselves (and of course fbforme) FHS 24 - OHS 21
  6. Make sure of your facts before you get on here an make yourself look like a fool. Independence (Wilco's little sister of the poor) 14 - Siegel 13

  8. Franklin (8-1, 4-0) and Brentwood (6-3, 4-0) are tied for first in District 11-AAA, but Franklin already is assured of a more favorable playoff seeding because it will have more wins. Franklin's nondistrict opponents have a combined winning percentage of .378 (17-28), compared with .711 (32-13) for Brentwood. That is from this morning's Tennessean article about the playoffs. Totally messed up.
  9. WOW, you could not have possibly re-itteriated my points any more perfectly than you just have. 1. BGA, you play the games when you play them. If a frog had wings my friend........ If this, than that... you could not have made me more right in your rebuttal. 2. Again, you are what is wrong with our youth. To provide a false sence of entitlement off of Franklin's pathetic opponents, well that's simply moronic. There is a difference between being optimistic and realistic. Optimistically, I would love for Franklin to beat Brentwood. Realistically, it's not going to happen. I have seen both teams play, facts are facts. Just because you want a team to win, doesn't mean that they will. 3. There is no doubt that the Franklin offense has improved with Dye coming back, that is one player, in case you have forgotten, football is a team sport. I stand by my (realistic) prediction, Brentwood wins. Keep looking through those rose colored glasses
  10. JRPFHS21 you may want to walk down the hall and tell your daddy, FBFORME, to calm down a little bit. You're a little more accurate than he is in saying that Franklin will win by two scores. Anyone that knows anything about these two storied programs know better than to think that it would be that big of a blow out. I am a long time Rebel follower but could no longer keep it in after reading the straight garbage that FBFORME keeps posting every week. It's people like you that are wrong with kids in today's societyby telling them it's everyone else's fault instead of telling them to suck it up. Please, for the love that is good and Holy, stop calling the BGA game a fluke. BGA has a top rated QB in CJ Bethard, Franklin had RB's that had never started a game for them, Webb has basically scouted Clayton for 5 years, and BGA flat out won the game. You can play the game with if this then that, but then what would be the point of playing the games ever?!?!?! And please stop talking about the Rebel's schedule this year. It was all anyone could do last year to stomach your blubbering about Franklin's schedule, and now you get on here and keep feeding the fire. If you want to be a fan, then stop getting on here and making Franklin looking like a bunch of half wits. Brentwood vs Franklin (IMO) should be the district championship. The district is WAAAYYY down this year, so it doesn't come off as that much of a championship, but still something to be proud of. Franklin has played a cupcake schedule this year. Granted, you can't predict how teams are going to play from year to year, and as I've already said the district is down. I didn't realize this until someone pointed it out last week, but Franklin's strength of schedule has been ranked at 114 (out of 114 teams) for 2 weeks in a row now. Mr KingZ put it well by asking if this will pay off for the Rebs since they truly haven't been challenged since the first week of the season. Sort of like Boise playing for the national championship. On the complete polar opposite, Brentwood is sitting here with 3 losses to 3 of the tops teams of the state out of the SEC conference to the East of us. They are extremly well coached, and have a big part of pride sitting on the line not wanting to lost to Franklin, or end the regular season with only 6 wins. Brentwood will come out well disciplined and ready to play football, no doubt Call it crazy, but I see the more difficult schedule paying off for the Bruins in this one. They are at home, want to win the district, and help they're play-off seeding as much as possible. Rebels have been sitting around for a week (and playing with themselves aparently ) and Brentwood will be too much for them B-wood brings the wood and wins - 17-14
