  1. The Lions should be proud of their effort and a great season. Milan made plenty of mistakes that could have cost them the game but to say that Camden beat themselves and not by Milan is ridiculous.
  2. I agree that the time keeping was awful at the end of the game but thats just how it goes. Camden should have given the ball to #75 on 4th and 4, lol. He done everything else right all night. Good game from both teams! 12-1 and a trip to the semis. Not bad for a young and rebuilding Milan team. Congrats to Camden on a great season!
  3. Gettin ready to leave. Hope the game is as good as its been built up to be. Prayin for everyone's safe travel and an injury free game. Go Dogs!!!
  4. I was just saying that Camden has made it to the quarters but never to the semis and by beating Milan would give them their first trip. The quarters is the furthest they have advanced. I may be wrong but its what I'm thinking. Wasn't aware of the 65 Lil Cotton Bowl. My whole knock was against the lack of support from the Milan fans at tonights pep ralley. I'm sure they will be at Friday night's game.
  5. Sorry, trying to find out why Milan fans were not at the pep ralley. Didn't want to go back 45 years on my Camden homework. Maybe that's my answer. Thanks
  6. Milan fans may seem cocky and arrogant but sometimes they dont seem to care. The crowd turnout for the Lewis Co game was embarassing, the Fairview crowd was about 3/4, but the turnout for tonight's Pep Ralley was awful!!!! The team, cheerleaders and band showed up but that was about it. I dont know if fans are so used to winning or they dont see this as an important game. We need to support our Dawgs!!! This is the farthest Camden has ever made it in the playoffs. A win would make school history for them. Surely this should deserve a bigger turnout at a pep ralley, shouldnt it?
  7. I lived, went to school, played football and graduated from Milan. My wife works in Milan and my daughter attened Milan elementary. When Humboldt caused the zoning laws to take place, my daughter could no longer attend Milan schools. We were the 2nd house outside the "line". Nothing I could do could get her back in Milan schools. Granted she is not a football player but it is extremely hard to attend the Milan school district if your out of the zone. Money doesn't matter, I've tried.
  8. Your post was fine and no one should be offened by it. My response was geared towards some Milan fans that can seem cocky and arrogant. Your assesment of the game was right on!
  9. Because of the winning tradition and the recent success of the Bulldogs, sometimes Milan fans can be or seem arrogant or cocky. Not making an excuse but its true. I cant speak for everyone but a majority of smack talk on this board is just that. All teams regardless of region, district or record should be treated with respect. These kids go to school during the day, practice in the afternoons and give their all on Friday nights. No fans behavior can take away from the effort that these kids make. As far as the Fairview game, I did get nervous when the score was 24-20. The reason was because no one has put up more than 15pts against us all year and those 15pts were in a loss against Westview. Milan did score on a short field 3 times and Fairview only once but the Dogs earned short field position with good defense and being able to capitalize on the Yellow Jackets mistakes. Despite the short field, Milan offense almost doubled the offensive yardage by Fairview. Both teams played well, my respect to Fairview and maybe we meet again next season.
  10. This may not be the same Camden team as we have seen in the past but Coach Morris is one of the best at making adjustments and preparing his team. Should be a close, hard fought game. Did anyone notice that Christian Coleman caught a pass againts Fairview tonight? Camden beware of #88 running the deep rout. Lol.
  11. Matt Wickers was the player taken to the hospital. This is his second concussion of the year if I'm not mistaken. We are definitely praying for him
  12. This post refers to Milan's past, present and future. WOW!!!
  13. WOW! I sure would hate to be the one to have to carry the team's equipment or the band's instruments up 3 flights of stairs.
  14. According to The Mirror Exchange, Coach Morris says that they run a balanced run/pass offense out of the spread and no huddle. Averaging 34.7pts per game. 5-3 defense that likes to stunt.
  15. It was embarrassing at the turnout. Not a typical Friday night crowd at Johnny Hale Stadium. We need a packed house this week against Fairview.
  16. I'm a Milan fan and I still appreciate what the Tornadoes have done.
  17. Congrats from another Milan alum. The Tornadoes deserve the recognition!
  18. I apologize for making you feel insulted. Including last nights game, Milan is giving up less than 9pts per game. Majority of those points, but not all came against the pups. I would vote that Fairview would not score 10 before I would vote that they would win by 10.
  19. Farview will be lucky just to score 10 and they probably wont be able to do that until the pups come in to close out the game.
  20. I'm not trying to be harsh, just trying to be honest. Yes, it is a million to one chance but it could happen. Good luck!
  21. Lewis Co has 6 votes over Milan? How many times can 1 person vote? Milan will win but rest the starters. Score will not be as bad as it could be.
