Austyn Dyer threw a gem....he also pitched the win earlier in the year against Farragut. MJ is peaking at the right time. Great players,great Coach, great program = another state playoff run..... and they have had their share of injuries, but always seem to find a way. Doing it mostly with jr's and soph's

MJ has some very good players in the sr. jr. and so. classes....... Their JV team would beat half the teams in this district. Honestly guys, MJ will run away with this one. They have pitchers, pitchers, and then some more pitchers.

Any team in any sport has the right to beat there opponent by as much as they can. If the winning coach wants to play his starters and beat a team by 50 points then so be it. Though it would not be wise since he could protect his starters from fatigue and potential injury. Excuse my ignorance of TSSAA rules but is there no mercy rule that will allow the clock to run? I know some states have this. As far as it not being "nice" to run up the score or to spare the other team embarrassment, those attitudes are for losers... As the old saying goes, winning isn't everything, it's the only thing. .

FCS "recruiting" ? Ha that's a joke. I know first hand about the program, coaches, players ...... every now and then they have a good player be it baseball, football, but for the most part they have weak rosters playing in a weak conference against weak competition.... For a long time they did not even have a "cut" on many of their teams. It's a nice school, Again I can think of a few players that played there and were very good, but for the most part it's like most private schools, pay the tuition and get the uniform. If FCS is recruiting players they do not do a good job of it. Brentwood Academy, now that's a recruiting school.

Symrna is a great town, I have many friends there and some of this was just a game between us......until others got in the conversation......and I wish your team the best.....sorry your player was hurt..hopelly not too bad.... Congrats to the Bulldogs for winning the game......I am starting a petition in Smyrna to have the head football coach removed. After reading all these post and seeing the projected scores to be 37-0 35-7 etc.....its obvious that the coach did a poor job last night and did not live up the standards imposed by the folks on this board. I mean come on coach can't you beat a weak, no talent team like the Bears that have not played any good opponents all season? As for the person that felt I made a racial slur calling a jap car a jap car, well jap is short for japanese and ironically most japs are short. And I think they make jap cars in Smyrna....which begs the question do you guys sell sushi at your football concession stand?

ok lets tell the truth, Smynra is a blue collar town, and that's about it.....low to middle class, hard working yet mostly uneducated people where high school football is basically all you have to get excited about..and that's 70% of this country.....and MJ has there share of rednecks as well, just not as many as Smyrna.......I hope you guys win the state title, then you can brag about it when your peddling girl scout cookies in front of Walmart

Sinkerballer may be a new screen name but by no means is it my first pair of shoes on CoachT. In closing I would like to say that I have no ill will towards any players on Smynra's team .....I hope the best team wins......Why did no one respond to my post on "how to act?" Again been watching Smyrna fans for 15 years and they have no class, never will have class, a bunch of Rednecks making cars for the Japs.

No they don't they say that we are close to having a great season and the hard work that these players and coaches have put in it would be great to see them win the state title and see their hard work pay off for them. then if and when they win the game, be humble in your win, acknowledge your opponent as a good and fair opponent. I'm beginning to think these post are from children.,
