I said returning state champs, so that means from last year. Whatever you want to tell yourself though. No doubt there has to be somebody in the finals but it doesn't make it a tough weight class. My biggest problem now is that you are making region 6 out to be this big scary region but when it comes down to it they just can't compete with the top teams of the other regions. Region 6 may have good competition in itself but when there teams go out of region they just cant deal with a powerhouse (Bradley, Cleveland, Soddy, or maybe Ravenwood. They just need some building and then they can look to be a threat to the top teams in the state.

Everybody knows that 140 isn't close to being one of the toughest weight classes. There isn't even a returning state champ at 140. The tougher weights with the best wrestlers are going to be between 119, 125, 130, 145, or 152. It will always be debatable but 140 is not in the mix when it comes to toughness. Those weight classes have plenty of returning champions/state placers. It may be a tough weight class in region 6 but then again its just region 6.

looks like indy lost every big match. Not to clutch if you ask me but they better step it up if they plan to compete this year.

Thats a pretty bold statement coming this early in the season. This weight class is going to have a lot of studs in it dropping from 160 at state. If he does its going to be a tough fight to the top. Maybe a top 5 team hidden in here but not much more then that but here is your list of teams. I would suspect that there around 5 medalists coming from region 6. All the testers are looking for cheaters but i have never heard of them letting them cheat. So as a coach how sure are you that your whole team is honest when it comes to the hydration testing? There is no way to be certain is there? The only people who can stop the cheating is the kids that know about it and still go along with it.

Are you saying that your kid or team whatever doesn't cheat on the hydration test?

no wrestler in there right mind that has won state would tell you that they cheated on it but it can go without saying that most people do bend the rules so they could win.

Region 4 consist of Boyd Buchanan-who Brainerd-enough said Chattanooga Central-really Chattanooga Christian-young East Hamilton-growing stages Hixson-A-AA state champs= big whoop Notre Dame-talent in a couple of weights but still rebuilding Ooltewah- team with the most to prove after last year Red Bank-needs something not really sure what Signal Mountain-questionable group of guys just have to wait and see what they have Soddy-Daisy-Campbell Lewis and Darren Smith plus a couple of guys with a chance not much Pigeon Forge Rules! well i wouldn't go so far to say i looked over them i just don't see them doing to much damage when it comes down to the end. The word is that they haven't even trained over the summer. If i would pick a team out of this region it would be Ooltewah. There program is really working and look for some improvement from these guys. Pigeon Forge Rules! End of Story

With the graduating class last year i can't expect much talent in state coming from this region. Look for a rebuilding year and maybe some threats in the next year or so. Maybe a couple of medals but not much growing over the summer or any training is the word. They will need some luck for a state championship team coming from region 4 in individual and state.

There should be some new names in the mix with a lot of last years placers moving up and some of them graduating but 112 had a lot of talent so look for them to make trouble at 119. Crutcher from Bradley and Freeman of Ravenwood will make some noise if they moved up. Kendall Kermick always finds his way in to the top 6. This year at state is should be a stacked bracket. If Mullins at ND can handle the weight cut this year, he will be a definite threat. Some good matches to look forward too. Pigeon Forge Rules! End of Story
