  1. I saw the first part of the game and GP is hitting their stride at the right time. Their defense made a stand and the offense just looked explosive. Sycamore had some good hits it just seems they played GP when all cylinders were firing.
  2. Has anyone seen enough to make any prediction on this game?
  3. Goodpasture is coming off 2 losses. GP played a great game Saturday, it just seemed the other team had more depth along with a really quick back. I would say they are hungry for a win. My prediction is GP will get their first win Friday night.
  4. This has always been a great game and should be a great battle, however I do see GP pulling this one out. From what I hear GP has a few more weapons. We will find out soon!
  5. This is all really interesting stuff. I didn't know about some of the schools having an open zone system in place. My kids go to GP (private). This is the way I look at it. You are going to have adversity in life and can't always get your way. All you can do is work harder, smarter and have faith in God. I don't see anything wrong with Alcoa or any other schools (Milan), yes they have open zone and we are private, but that's the way it is. Alcoa does not win time after time because of open zone. IT'S THEIR COACH AND STAFF. Coach Rankin does have talent, but he gets the best out of his players. I can say this because my mom worked at the school in Murfreesboro. She always spoke very highly of him and she does not have a clue about football. Now, would I be glad if open zone schools (Alcoa, ha) had a multiplier sure would, but if they don't it will just make us work harder and that can't hurt you in life.
  6. Alcoa was winning that game no matter what. The players were bigger, more athletic and definitely faster. I saw at least 3 D1 guys out there in skilled positions. They are very well coached to. Hard to beat a team like that. GP just does not have that many horses. I watched them play better games this year, but even if they played their best, no way were they beating Alcoa. Great job to both teams. GP keep your head up you fought hard this year. Alcoa congrats on a great year.
  7. I have seen both teams play this year. I believe this will be a little closer than the past few years.
  8. I have nothing but respect for Milan, very classy. A great program! I stood at the end zone the entire game and talked to a few Milan fans and it was a pleasure. There will always be a bad apple, so sorry about anyone being disrespectful. When the player was injured all the players on the sideline were on a knee, the players on the field were not except for 2. There were also a few Milan players standing on the field as well. These are young kids, but I can guarantee you no player on the field was laughing at someone getting hurt. Neither coach would stand for that. Congrats to GP and congrats to Milan on a great year. I am sure we will see you again.
  9. GP plays much better as a team than last year. They play very well together on both sides of the ball. After watching the PC game I see GP winning this one, but anything can happen. Good luck to both teams and congrats on getting this far in the playoffs.
  10. You musty be a closet Goodpasture fan. It sound like you know alot about them. You even follow their scrimmages. Look, you all fought hard. It was awesome to see the crowd that came and supported Sequatchie. I am just saying the late hits/pushing and trash talking was both sides, not one sided.
  11. I was there. Yes, there were three penalties on GP, but they did not loose control of their emotions because they were winning by 3 touch downs. I mean come on. GP has played with discipline and great sportsmanship all year. You make it sound like Sequatchie did nothing.
