Hate to see game decided by the refs, it was just played on news and he doesnt come close to getting in, but the play before may nave been worse when we sack him at the 13 but they say incomplete and give it to them at the 5. Refs should be ashamed!

if Cleveland really wants a coach who can get the Raiders to the elite, they need a guy who knows how to win, one who can motivate, makes kids better, and one who would be a step up.... their first call should be to Coach Jackson at Brainerd, what he has done this year with that group is amazing, he won a state championship as a player in georgia, and it would be a step up! What a great hire he would be, but Cleveland will probably bring some old name in that will do the same old thing and go 6-4

If I was Cleveland I would give my first call to Coach Jackson from Brainerd. What he has done there this year is amazing! I believe he is a fine coach who could take the Raiders to heights that they deserve!

I had heard John may miss again. I think that 78 will be back but with 55 might being out it disturbs your line to lose your center that is why I think it might take us awhile to get rolling, but would sure love to hammer them early and often!!

The way we are banged up, I am not sure we can run it up early on anyone at this point. Our defense should smack them in the mouth early and often and provide a chance for our Offense to score and pull away in the 3rd quarter!!

We will be just fine I dont know if many know of the competitor in another Freshman on this team, but HES A WINNER!!!

First intoduction to a Tennessee Scrimmage, will say the way it is ran. that there is NO way you can tell about scoring so not very important!!! Next I thought the Bucs looked strong in alot of areas especially in the backfield with Jim, John, and Chase looking ready for opening night. The line looked above average but had alot of good moments, will need to clean up a few areas. Defensively we seem to have cleaned up the stop n go that was killing us in the 7on7's. Our Linebackers looked very strong and the dline looks much improved from the spring. The one concern I see from the defense is that when Red Bank put its athletic QB in we struggled to keep him contained so there will need to be work done in that area. As far as the JV, they seem to run to the football better after the initial play so that was encouraging. OVERALL I believe I saw a team that can and will cause issues for teams this year and should have a chance come playoff time!!

Pennsylvania and he looked like a good player tonight in 7 on 7's

That is hard to believe for me seeing that my son is one of those kids who is a top prospect in 8th grade. He is having a nice year this season and is only 5-0 with 2 saves and a 0.46 e.ra. We go to showcases and is told he is a vrey hard thrower for a 14 year old at 83 mph. He is having a tremendous year at the plate with some lucky hits that have got his average at amazing .676 which we know will drop the further we go into the rest of the year. So I am Just saying if what you are saying is true then WHY HAVENT WE RAN INTO HIM AT ONE OF OUR SHOWCASES?

Good to hear from you Reaction...well why is there not more excitement about the program in general? and how can we get people more passionate about their Bucs?

Nice reply...couldn't even understand it?!?!?....not talking cheerleading talking passion, most cheerleaders could care less about the game they are cheering for, people who have passion CARE!!!!

We have just moved to Chattanooga and became a member of the Boyd family and I have a question for them and about them, so anyone can answer. Why is there no passion or perception of no passion about their program? Passion about a program is not about rooting for a team when they win, but is to root for them rather they win or lose. We think that there are not any nicer people we have met, but have been confused by their lack of interest in the athletic program. It is early and maybe its just a few games or just in basketball, but would like to see more passion from the Buc fans!!!

With the way parents will move or drive miles for their kids(traveling sports era). I think all schools have kids move in and move out because of Athletics and Academics. I use to think the same way as you, but when our program at Calhoun started to win big, all of sudden people started coming from everywhere and noone had to make a call. It is just what happens when teams start winning. We had a school in Georgia(Charlton County) who is one of the smallest and poorest schools around, but they win and people move there from Jacksonville area just so there kids can play for them. It is the nature of Today's high school athletics, so I feel as now that the multiplier is the best way to keep all things even.

That sounds great. Would love to meet you guys. My son is in the 8th grade. He is ready to get going in basketball as we speak. He plays the big "3" sports: Football(QB & WR), Basketball, and Baseball(Pitcher, SS, and CF). He is a big kid at 6'0" 170 and is projected to be at 6'5" by the doctors. He is rated as one of America's who's who at Pitcher by Baseball America and U.S.S.S.A Baseball. He is very excited and has enjoyed just getting to know the school, teachers, coaches, and fellow students this past 2 months!!!

Good to be here and we are very excited about our son being at Boyd!!! We are looking forward to him helping continue the tradition!!!

When I watch us play i see a very young talented team that keeps getting better and better, but is a team that has to play at its best to win. This game should be a good one. I'll say Bucs win 28-21

I think most people think that ANY team that wins must recruit because they look for excuses as to why they are getting beat!! The truth is that when a school is good at Academics, Athletics, and the Arts then they will have people that want to go there. Like I said we have brought our son to Boyd, not because anyone contacted us, but because we moved to the area and researched the schools paifully and decided that Boyd was the best fit. We do know because he is a very good athlete that people will say it is because he was recruited, but the truth is Boyd is an outstanding school who does things the RIGHT way and that is why we or anyone else goes there!!!

On this recruiting thing, let me tell you we have just arrived at Boyd from Georgia and noone from Boyd ever contacted us. We were at one of the best athletic schools in the state of Georgia and is accused of recruiting and we never did. The fact is when you do the things right to run a program right and be very competative then it recruits itself!! Go get em Bucs Friday Night!!!
