How did the scrimmage go tonight and who was it against?

What's going on over there in PC, y'all being awful quiet?

Did Cwood scrimmage this past week and if yes then how did it go?

The last few weeks before the first game seem to take forever!

Yes, Preston Rice is the youngest of the three and is a sophomore this year. He runs it good and has a great arm to go with it.

Are you going to be working close enough to make it?

In 09 WC had Tyler Rice and threw a lot more but in 2011 WC was back to running it to full strength but UC was battling the injury bug. 2012 uc drilled WC in a rebuilding year for the cats. This year if they meet I think it could be the first time that they meet with both teams up and running, if they meet, that's a long ways off and anything can happen. You would think a team that runs the veer would defend it better than one that don't but I don't know because it's play totally depends on what the defense does so basically it comes down to how good the offense reads and executes.

You got any info on Davidson Acad.?

I hope at some point WC and UC get to meet up, both teams sound so familiar. Good qb and power running. These two have a history of good games. Good luck this season!

I think the Fayetteville vs WC game will tell a lot about both teams.

This Friday WC travels to Davidson academy at 4:00 then next Friday WC travels to franklin page to scrimmage ncs for a half in a jamboree. WC had some work done to the field and some sod laid so they're having to stay off of it, that's why we traveled to Waverly last night.

Thanks for your observation, like alumni said it's always good to hear from someone besides our own.

Weve been involved in a few of those scrimmages ourselves, most of the time it's the early ones and then as the season gets closer they start playing more like a real game. Can't wait to face y'all in two weeks, if I understand it right it will only be for one half.

Actually that's two scrimmages in a row they have burned us on the screen but I will say they run it good and everybody blocks it the right way. I thought our boys done a little better at getting into position to make a play on it but that's where the missed tackles killed us.

Secondary still struggling but looked better, they run the screen pass to perfection over there. Too many missed tackles too but they'll be ok. On offense I thought we ran the ball well but had way too many dropped passes.

wc wins 27-20. Very strange ending, waverly ran four straight possessions on offense without getting in the end zone, first down or turnover.
