  1. Making jokes about Huntingdon is easy, going there and winning is not. Your correct, we've all undermined the quality of Cville's best win. No disrespect to LC whom I have much respect for, but Huntingdon was y'all toughest opponent
  2. The story line on here all year is who's going to play Greenback in Cookeville, Cville or Huntingdon. Nobody seen this coming
  3. I do, I was on the fence and seen it first hand as a fan of neither team, this was a game that I'll remember for a long time as it brought back memories from 2011 when WC went there without a chance of winning in the third round and sent them to the basketball court
  4. The win at Huntingdon trumps all other wins for both teams
  5. Cville won't be hit any harder than they've been hit all year, they've been hit hard. Huntingdon and WC hit them and figured out quick that they take it and hit back! I've been watching tough physical football in southern middle tn my whole life and this Cville bunch ranks right at the top in toughness. There's one thing that Wayne County could always count on when playing Cville, even when they weren't very good, is that they would be tough, and I know they'll say the same about WC. That's why there's so much respect being shown from all these schools surrounding this Cville bunch, GO DAWGS!
  6. Thanks and it sounds like it would be a lot of fun but if I go I'll be bringing my boy with me, he got to put his crutches down today and walk on his leg he broke 8 weeks ago tomorrow night earlier today so it'll be a little easier on him not wagging those things around
  7. I won't be infatuated until they've at least beat WC more times than WC has beat them, just saying
  8. Haven't you heard, money is no object to Cville, they should be 3A after beating the number 1 team that should be 2A last week
  9. Me and my son are still trying to make our minds up on this long trip or not, if it wasn't supposed to rain it wouldn't even be given a second thought
  10. WC was shut out against mtp but scored 22 and 26 against Huntingdon and Cville whom Scored 50 apiece against mtp, this gets you nowhere
  11. No offense taken, just that our season has only been over for 2 weeks and I'm already bored! I just jump in when I catch a chance, good luck to both and I hope the rain holds off til after the game
  12. I've kept up with this thread since it first started up and I am as guilty as anybody for stirring the pot and talking smack about Swenson not being able to win the big games just to ruffle the Huntingdon feathers. Putting all the trash talk aside, Huntingdon has everybody's respect ( maybe not all their posters but the team and town) and the fans should be proud of what their team has done over the past few years. I know nobody wants to lose but you did lose to another 12-0 team in a close game til the last few seconds. I was on the fence with the Cville fans and they were nervous as goats when Huntingdon got the ball back with a minute on the clock to work with, they knew it was just one broken tackle away from being tied up. As for the play calling y'all can correct me if I'm wrong but is the offense not run off of reading the defensive tackles and ends? If so the qb was probably doing what he knew to do but Cville was just good enough to stop it. There's no difference in playing regular season as the playoffs except for the emotions and Huntingdon was plenty fired up for the game and I think Swenson done all he probably could to prepare his team. As for all the remarks about the turf field, it's all just chain jerking, I would love to have it at Wayne county. Congratulations to both teams on a great season!
  13. Hey ease up on WC a little bit, seems like my wildcats have been used to gauge teams by all year lol! WC got off to a horrible start then injury's started popping up and the first half of the season was a disaster. I think WC ended the season with only one player out but was a four year starter. Once all the others got back and got settled in WC played some pretty good ball, even against Huntingdon and Cville, WC scored more on both their defenses than anybody else all year except maybe Waverly. Anyway, congrats to both on making it back to this point and a rematch and best of luck to both teams
  14. I talked to one guy from Cville last week that said this group was one of the first to play youth football when they started it up, I'm a big believer in youth football making them better when they get older. As for the penalties last night, there were a ton against both teams but most were legit but the refs were a little nit picky
  15. Usually when theirs something left in the visitors locker rooms it's done by somebody from the visiting teams staff as motivation. Very rarely is it the home team that does it, that would be just stupid
  16. I've been to a few games at Paul Ward and this was a good crowd but I've seen it with a lot more fans packed in
  17. Congrats to waverly on a great win and congrats to Riverside on a great season! I know y'all wasn't ready for your season to end but it was a much better season than anyone thought y'all would have at the start of the year
  18. I hope I can make this game next week, I've gained lots of respect for this Cville team the past few weeks and from what little I've seen on LC this should be another great one!
  19. No you didn't. Y'all spread the ball around with that misdirection to perfection in regular season then tonight became very one dimensional except for the few pass plays. Someone posted earlier that you can't keep running the same thing and keep advancing, well that's wrong to, you better keep running what got you to this point and putting 50 points a game on the board or this is the result you get. If it ain't broke don't fix it! As for the play calling, I thought Cville was a little off their game and gave up some opportunity's by running the same play to much on the first couple drives before their coach opened it up a little. Your better to adjust what your already doing as the game goes than to come in with it already adjusted. I hate the way the season ended for this group of boys from Huntingdon, they will always be winners, lots of teams would trade records with them over the past two seasons so keep your heads up boys and be proud of a great two year run y'all seniors had
