  1. Hope BA enjoys the win, cause they sure didn't earn it.
  2. There is no way BA was set or had a legal formation. Horrible call.
  3. If this is counted good then this is a terrible job of reffing. Game should be over - MBA wins. Let's see what happens.
  4. I'm guessing that comment was made about the Ezell-Harding game, but I could be wrong. And I'm glad that your 1-1 record against FRA last year means you own them. Yes, you won pretty big at FRA early in the year, but FRA came to NCS later in the year and showed they are simply a better basketball team. And yes, the East Robertson game was rediculous, but that was expected after playing every night until 10 PM for a whole week and then having a Monday game at 4 or something early like that. I find it pretty funny that NCS is confident enough to overlook a talented and well-coached team so quickly, cause they will very soon regret it.
  5. Winning region does not make you the best team in the region. There is no way the Marlins were the best team in baseball, they just came up big when it mattered most. I will congratulate NCS on being the luckiest team in the region though. It was pretty much a tossup on who the winner would be and it just happened to fall their way. NCS has very little ability outside the 3-point shot. There should be no reason that NCS doesn't come out with a very strong team like the did last year, but hopefully they aren't nearly as overconfident about their "imminent" success as you are. Many teams with decent talent who are well prepared should have no trouble with NCS, though.
  6. Last year NCS was nothing but a 3-point team. In the first game, pretty early in the season, FRA was not prepared for it, and lost. In the second game, however, FRA defended against it, leaving the lane wide open. NCS, confused by this, attempted to shoot the 3 despite the hands in the faces and being 4 feet behind the line. I think the whole game was summarized for NCS when Cam Biggs made a steal and took it the other way and missed the wide open layup. If teams guard the perimeter, NCS will have trouble, unless their inside game has improved greatly. Hope yall enjoyed substate last year, because you werent the best team in the region by far, and the same holds true for this year. That said, if teams give NCS even the slightest opening for an outside shot, NCS will make them regret it.
  7. ...which is why they were nationally ranked? MBA did a good job against Brohm, I don't know what makes Joe Bob Cooter so much better.
  8. Last I heard was FRA was up 1-0 at the half, not sure of the final. I really don't understand how you can say they have trouble finishing. Most of the time they get out to a big lead and then just play keep away, but in the close games, they have not had trouble finishing at all. They do stand at an impressive 24-1 right now, with the only loss coming to DCA in a game close enough to give you a heart attack, but they have beaten them 3 times already this season. I'm sure this game will also be dramatic to the very end.
  9. FRA and DCA won both of their games today, which means they will meet for the 5th time this season, only now it's for all the marbles. Should be a great matchup.

    FRA/DCA

Another big showdown between these two A/AA power-houses. Is DCA due for a win, or is FRA just too good this year? I think FRA has the big-game experience as well as the confidence to pull off another victory. What does everyone else think?
  11. Neither of those schools is within walking distance of MBA. But that doesn't change the fact that yes, MBA is the best team in the state.
  12. But not in that order. And you forgot DCA. They were not in any particular order but don't think DCA will be there. DCA will most likely be there, unless they have to play FRA or CCS early on and end up losing (which is certianly not a given) or they get upset. DCA will go very far and will atleast come very close if they don't win the whole thing.
  13. But not in that order. And you forgot DCA.
  14. Turner was a very good player, but Souder has already broken more long plays in his junior year than Turner did junior and sophomore year and Turner had by far a bigger and more experienced line than Souder does right now. Turner hasn't been easily replaced on defense however, with a freshmen starting at outside LB and a sophomore starting at inside LB. But who's to say that Turner would have made that much of a differnece? He would be very usefull in all aspects of the game, but enough to pull out the wins against DA and Ezell?
  15. ADAD, what exactly are your credentials to be so critical of the FRA coaches? As I have said before, it was only 3 seasons ago that FRA was a very good ball team. So is boys and girls soccer, cross country, boys and girls basketball, baseball/softball, and wrestling.
  16. What happened in this game? It looks like FRA, despite having much less total yards, had plenty of chances with just one less first down, less penalties, and a turnover. Especially seeing how the played against Ezell, I wouldn't have expected this against Davidson. Sounds like the just didn't show up to play.

    FRA and Ezell

Yeah, 8 state championships since 2000, more than all but 5 schools, speaks poorly of FRA's athletic ability. Everyone speaks of FRA football like its been wiped off the face of the earth, but it was only two years ago when it ended USJ's regular-season winning streak and gave an incredible CPA team all it could handle for seven out of eight quarters, including a 1-point loss that was a few feet from a victory. Meanwhile, Ezell was also .500 just two years ago. Some years are going to be better than others; it's not a major cause for concern.
  18. Oh well in that case.....no, they were still 5-5. And I hope you don't mean Austin Henderson, cause he was nothing special.
  19. I think Laura also picked up tournament MVP.
  20. Plus FRA is looking to prove that they were deserving to go to the playoffs the past two years instead of Jo Byrns. The only motivation FRA should need is that this is their chance to show that they were the better teams, but due to not having a rediculously easy non-region schedule like Jo Byrns, they didn't have as good of a record.
  21. The field is definately not nice to play on, regardless of who you're playing. Several large sand traps as well as hard runways very close to the sidelines make it far from an ideal playing place. As far as spectator facilities, it's decent, but the field definately needs a lot of work.
  22. I'm glad that at least McEwen believes, because no one else does, and with good reason, too.
  23. Well if you cant provide names then just go ahead and continue to believe what your friend heard from some guy who talked to the coach once.
