This has nothing to do with the outcome of the game. JCounty hands down beat Clarkrange and deserved the win. But on the other hand this district tourney has got to be the worst i've seen as far as the score keepers and the guys that run the clock. Last saturday night there were multiple times the refs had to make the score keepers change the clock. And tonight's game against Jcounty and Crange girls the Clarkrange's score was 37, Rains hit a 3 and the the announcer announced a 3 and the refs held up the 3 fingers and made the basket good sign that they do. but these awesome score keepers decided to only put up 39 pts on scoreboard. Again i'm not saying that decided the outcome of the game, they could have given Clarkrange 5 points and it woulnd't have mattered. Just for a District tourney and a game as big as this one was you'd think the score keepers would try to keep everything right. All in all great game about jcounty, they outplayed and out hussled Crange and deserved a win.

Agreed. I've watched a ton of clarkrange games and all in all jones had one of his best games he's had in a long time against JCounty. NO he didn't score 25-30 pts but he didn't have to nor need to. he got a great contribution from the whole team. When 3 different players are over double digits he don't need to try to score 30 and he knows that. He had an excellent game, just hope it continues over to tomorrow night.

I'll agree that Heath had an excellent game against Clay. But to say that Jones didn't play well is a huge understatment. He had one of the better nights hes had in a long time. he didnt force the ball and take stupid shots and still ended up with around 20 points. he didn't have 30 attempts, but when that team plays like they do he don't have to try to be "the man" or the go to guy. He was tough defensively as he always is and he done very good job of getting the ball up the floor and breaking the press. In the 4th quarter Cody Henry took over scoring 10 points in the 4th, so Jones didn't have to force anything. Chad Henry is an absolute machine in grabbing rebounds. Jones had a pretty good game. Tuesday will be a great game aginst you guys. PC is on a very hot streak right now, and Clarkrange has played lights out ever since getting killed by Livingston. Be a very good game to watch.

That was a great game. PC showed great poise on that game by not letting the score at end of 1st quarter get to them. PC definantly showed the world how to beat Clay and shut down Trent. I have said it all year when Trent has a bad game Clay is definantly beatable. he is an excellent ball player and probably best shooter in region but if he's stopped Clay is beatable. it'll be a very good game agains PC and Clarkrange in Champ. It's very hard to beat a team 3 times in 1 year but i'm hoping our boys can pull it out and do it. Good luck to you guys tuesday night! Glad to see 3 and 4 seeds in championship!

I talked to someone and they said that only the girls were banned from hosting the games because the boys weren't asked to host substate. Everyone i have talked to has said that clarkrange will be able to host the region games. I don't know about the girls but the boys will. I believe that Clarkrange was supposed to have so many seats for the visiting team that year in substate and they didn't do it. i was there 4 hours early for that game and it was almsot full already. by the time the visiting team showed up there were no seats anywhere. I believe thats why they got in trouble for it. But Dont hold me to that cause I really dont know for sure.

I honeslty dont know. I heard they weren't aloud to host because there wasn't enough seats to host a game, but I thought that was just the Substate. but u are right about them traveling to Gordonsville. So I really dont know. I know that Clarkrange did redo their seating, and that may have been why, but i really have no clue. I have just heard everyone talk about Clarkrange hosting someone if they beat JCounty. I do remember the game 2 year ago. there were a million people in that gym big enough to hold 100. you'd think they'd try to do something to put some more seats in there cause what they did this summer didn't help any.

neither of those games were "upsets". This district was anyone's to win, there was no real clear cut favorite in the whole tourney. There were seeds but obviously that meant nothing. Clarkrange had beat JCounty earlier in the Yr. in Jcounty. and Pickett had beaten Clay earlier in the year. Just because JCounty and Clay were seeded higher dont mean it was an "upset." Pickett and Clarkrange have prolly been playing better than just about anyone lately. Ever since the beatdown that Livingston gave Clarkrange they havent lost a game since until the last one against clay, which they had the game won until Boles decided to hit everything he shot at. So they are playing great basetball right and have a very good defense. The Region will be very intersting. Whoever Clarkrange hosts will be a tough game. and FC hosting either Clay or Jackson will nock off a top seed right off the bat.

Since Jackson and Clay travel to FCS and Gordonsville, who will Crange and PC host? I'm sure RBS is one, who is the other?

clarkrange plays a match zone, that is all they have played most of the year. Yes towards the end of the game at clarkrange, they had their point guard guarding him man to man, but most of the game was a zone coverage because there was way more than just 1 person guarding him the whole game. Boles did basically single handedly beat Clarkrange and he shot over everything but until the end of the game it was a zone!

District Tourney will be very interesting, first off starting with the coin toss. Clarkrange has just played their heart out tonight and one of the better games they've played all year, but they ran into Trent Boles when he was probably hotter tonight than he has been all year. Crange had this game wrapped up but Boles decided to stop at NBA lines and drain everything he shot, my hat goes off to him and the game he had. In overtime clarkrange boys were so tired you could tell they didnt even have their legs under them, They have a very very small and depleted bench. Clarkrange gets to see either Jackson or Clay in first round of the Tourney. either way it'll be a good game, they have went into overtime against both these teams this year winning one of the 2. It'll be very interesting to see how it all does turn out. but it's definantly not a given that Clay or Jackson is going to win it. Clarkrange definantly made their stand tonight showing they are definantly a very tough contender in the tourney.

it's definantly gonna be loud. we'll have a few more fans than usual it being senior night and all. should be a good game. C-Range been playing good lately, hopefully then can continue their 7 game win streak going.

ill agree all that clarkrange plays is matchup defense. im at every single one of their games and thats all they have played. here and there they do switch to man to man but not very often. like tonight we played zone all night and was getting killed by a guy from sunbright so he witched so only played man against him and it shut him down. regardless clarkrange has played excellent defense against almost everyone this year. fthem to have a shot at finishing second in district is great beings how they were picked to finish 4th by coaches. we dont have the 1 big player that jcounty and clay has in godwin and boles but any given night we have a few that step up and do what it takes. like tonight clarkrange struggled bad but cody henry carried the team with 19 points. other game it could be jones carrying the team or it could be chad henry. they have a good enough team(when they play like it) to be capable of beating anyone. they just have to play it. they play like they didd tonight they wont win another ball game, luckily for them they played sunbright.

This was not a fluke! I'm from crange and will be the first to admit that J-County has a more talented team. they are way deeper than clarkrange is. If you pay attention we only have 1 guy coming off the bench because of people quitting. Yeah Jackson County shot bad from the floor....but could that simply not be because of clarkrange's defense is just that good now??? It is possible that they stepped up their game and play defense now! if you notice they are like 12th in the state in defense only giving up 46 PPG. that's pretty good for a #3 team in district. Lately the best players in the district have been shut down by us. Zach cassel from Monterey 4 pts, Jordan from J-county, dont know exactly what he got but definantly wasn't close to his average! Pickett was shut down most the night. If it wasn't for the Monterey debacle that Clarkrange lost to we would be pushing and fighting for 1st place in District. I dont see that Jackson county is any better than Clay. They by far dont have the calibur player that Trent boles is! If you watched or payed any attention to this game it was no fluke! Clarkrange out played them the whole game. Like previous post said 15(steven jones) done basically what he wanted and 13(chad henry) dominated the boards. the kid had 13 pts and 13 rebounds that game. Clarkrange has a talented team when they play like it! and they are hitting their stride at the right time of the year if they can just hold on.

Yes Clarkrange beat Jackson county in OT. Which honestly shouldn't suprise many that watches games. Yeah Crange has lost some games they shouldn't have lost. They decided not to show up and play a few games. But they have a killer defense this year. giving up only 46 ppg. Clarkrange has a shot at beating anyone in the district/region if they play like they have been. Jackson county is a killer team but if you get in Jordan's head and get him off they are beat! I was at the game and he air balled more shots than I've seen him do his whole career. Clarkrange played the best defense against him and rest of the team than I've seen in a long time! Dont be suprised if Clarkrange slips in substate once again this year.
