  1. White County (TN): Matthan Houser has been hired as the next head coach at White County.
  2. I am hoping they can stretch the 3-4 wins to maybe 5-6. Yes they lose alot but coach has been preparing for this... all great ones do. My only concern is with the possibility of all the east TN. jobs coming open will Coach P. stay and continue to build our teams for the future? I for one believe he will stay, well I for one hope he stays! We have made so much progress, I don't think we would be where we are if he had not stepped in. I say we go .500 or so based on what the coaches bring to the table with our kids and the community! Go Big Blue!
  3. OK Got ya I guess. Go MCHS TIGERS....Go MCHS warriors good luck in the latter stages of the hunt. I am off to Middle TN. Topics! Go Big Blue!
  4. RC213V, Not trying to be a smartarse but I thought Mac was from the rich mtn? How many rich Mtns are there in that area? Up here we have just the hill or the valley which is TC? Hope you guys get your man, sounds as if Mac is the guy? And Based on his past records he is a great one!
  5. OK cool we are very happy with our coach just want to make sure he stays with us! I have heard Mac's name on a lot of other jobs before he is a quality coach! Marion would be blessed to have him. Who is the Other Mountain Guy? I understand if you want tp leave names out of it. Hope uor MCHS has a bright futre as I hope ours continues to build as well! Go Big Blue!
  6. Possum, with a tiger tail! I like it! Is the job going to be announced soon? Folks all across the state including us in Macon County are interested to know. I had heard that Pemberton was in for this job and Kingston, is he on your radar?
  7. All of our service men and women, past and present you get my support as well. I have no dog in this hunt, support a differnt M.C., Macon COunty. With that being said, with all of the negitivity that some of you harbor against the coaches and staff, it is time to get off the boards and do one of two things: Take your complaints to the local board of education where they can be heard by people that make real desicions, or shut the H _ _ _ UP! and start putting as much effort into supporting your team and student-athletes as you do bashing them! Your boys deserve support!
  8. My old coach is coaching for Sequatchie in this one, all I know from past experience is that he has assured me that their team will be well prepared and play with discipline and not get caught up in the non-factors of the game. I can assure u that any team or position group that he is coaching his boys will hit you in the mouth over and over again. So just be ready to watch two teams one that does the right thing and one that does the questionable thing hit each other in the mouth for four quarters and the most reseilient mouth samcker will come out on top. GO INDIANS! Coach, Tell ur boys to continue the pride, that you have taught an instilled in so many of us!
  9. Coach P. gets the MoJo back and the Boys in Blue will win again. I say the Tigers in a close hard fought 1 score game. Roll Tigers!
  10. Being that A.C.York is from up in our area, and we play 3 Common opponents of York: Smith Co., Dekalb Co., and Livingstone Acad.. You can bet Coach P. has already done his home work on the common opponets of the York Dragons. The past few years have shown they will be relentless in their efforts to run the inside, outside veer and midline-option. They will use the passing game to keep the secondary honest. It seems that York is preparing to make a run like they did in 2009. They have several starters back on both sides of the ball. From the past game tapes our coaches have seen they like to play pressure defense. Our boys in Blue do not play the dragons, but if we did Coach P. would have our boys ready! I don't know much about your team other than past recoeds and this years edition of MF, but it seems to me that it should be a good game. As a side note from the info coming out of clay county and others, York is very tough vs. the run but has had some big problems defending the pass. I hope this helps. Go Big Blue, and lets get a W week zero vs. Jo Byrns!!!! Oh, by the way: Tigers Mercy Rule Them Boys From Robertson County!
  11. Coach P, will get these kids coached up! Jo Byrns better be ready.....I say my boys in blue by 2 maybe 3 scores. With the only suspect area being MC being able to contain JB's speed early on. If it gets into a battle of play calling and coaching I give the edge to good ole' MC and Coach P!
  12. Wow! Tellico must have paid some big money or gave some future consessions to make this deal happen. If everyone just rolled over and said ok then they did not make a very wise business decision. I believe my Meigs Tigers got the best end of this deal, they were able to move their off week from late in the season to the mid-point. From What I am hearing about the Tigers this could be a good thing so they may re-group at the mid-point and get back to doing what they do best which is play smash mouth FB and feed their seniors the ball. I have a feeling that the Tigers will strugle until the off week, then they will find they're way for the second half of the season. Anyway, good luck to Holliday and his Tigers!
