You guys want to talk about this game or keep argueing about the proper way to refer to a small rural area outside of Knoxville. I have ties to both schools. I graduated from Powell in 1990, but I have a sophomore starting for Anderson County friday night. When I seen the thread title I knew exactly what Jeo was referring to, and Im pretty sure everyboby else does to. So lets talk about the game and quit wasting each others time. Its as simple as this, which by the is not very simple, LOL. Take away or limit Mobley to 1 TD and you got a shot at beating Powell. Their Pass game is suspect, Logan and Washington together are not as effective as Mobley, and their defence is not as stout as last year. Can that happen friday night? Sure it can. But like I said, easier said than done. O ya, our boys at AC have got to limit the penelties and TO's friday night. We will not have a chance if the same self inflicted mistakes continue that we've seen in the 1st 4 games. HOOK EM' HORNS ITS TIME TO SKIN A PANTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Somebody is gona take Mobley away in 1 of these games, you watch and see. I thought it was Powell and Colubia for the title. Powell is beatable, they cant win week in week out if Mobley doesnt come up big. Their passing game is not very good, and logan and washington together arent anywhere near as affective as Mobley. They'll fall to somebody. We'll get our shot in a couple of weeks to shut him down. Everyone wish us luck, Please. LOL. O ya their defence is not as strong as last year either. Slammin, I think Jeo means big win because this is a very young team. We started out 0-2 for the 1st in a very long time. A combined 10 to 12 starters are sophomores and 1 froshman. We were starting to wonder if they remembered how to win. So in a since this was a big win for a young team that needed a win to get on track. Lets just hope they can keep it up because it just gets rougher from here on out. Make sense? HOOK EM HORNS KEEP FIGHTING YOUNGINGS!!!!!!!!!!!

Jeo, CC had 1 good solid drive for 70yds and ate up some clock. There other TD was a fluke, miller running down the sidelines and 5 mavericks converged on him at the same time and I think they tackled each other, LOL. Dont think that would happen again in that situation 10 times in a row. By no means was this a dynamic offence but the AC defence did make progress. Take away Blanc, and thats a big job and I dont think the bobcats cant keep up. If we keep mistakes to a minimun that is? HOOK EM' HORNS!!!!!!!!!

If we continue to move the ball on the ground like the CC game, and the defence can take away blanc AC takes care of buisness. We still have not played a complete game. Too many TO's and penalties against CC again. Same offensive exacution, take away Blanc, and limit the mistakes. AC wins going away. HOOK EM' HORNS KEEP THE PEDAL DOWN!!!!!!!!

Took a baby step foward. Its a good sign, I just hope they keep movbing foward. We should line up and smack CCHS around every year no matter how we start. Pretty happy overall except leaving 14 points up there. Pick 6 called back because of a block in the back and 1 drive at the 2 yard line stalled because of penalties. Young or not, when they start exacuting we'll win some ball games. That come straight out of a mavericks mouth. I think our middle linebacker is leading in tackles. Trey had 17 against CAK alone. We've played too many different safeties for any of them to leading in tackles. It would also be nice if we would stop beating ourselves also. 92, Im starting to feel the same way. We are young but that only goes so far. My son is a starter and he said its all on the players, including him. They are just not exacuting. I guess when they get tired of beatings they will start exacuting the game plans and win some ball games. Im glad he is taking responsibility and putting the blame on his self and his team mates, rather than making excuses. It shows alot of maturity in my sophomore. We'll get there, I hope. We start district play this week. It would be a good time to step up. Dud, I wish I had an answer for you as a whole. I can only speak for the Maverick part of the problem.
