  1. Not a stalker, just very close to the family. You may know more about football or you may not, but you don't know more about Hurd and his future plans. So, you won't win this pissing contest. And at the end of the day, keep hating on Hurd and what you think he can't do. He's already easily proved why he's a top stud RB in the nation. That won't change at the next level.
  2. Fact... I know a lot more than you about Hurd. So, keep spinning your wheels. And have a Merry Christmas!
  3. Well, tell that to the number of coaches that want him at that position. Obviously, you're a much better authority on college football than Meyer, Miles, Muschamp, Richt, Jones, Franklin, and on and on, right? Still swingin, I see. This is still coming from the same guy that thought Beech was going to continually get beaten in every game in the playoffs. How'd that work out for you? Your predictions have been so spot on that at this point it appears that Mr. Hurd will not only be a RB, but he will be a world class RB. Cracks me up....
  4. What sets Hurd apart from your traditional big back is his speed, balance, and footwork for his size. You don't see this often. When he packs on 20 + pounds and maintains these qualities, he will be very effective as a RB anywhere he decides to play at the next level. Elder's career has been great, but who is the Mid-State Player of the "this" Year? I give it to Hurd all day. He doesn't take dives or avoids contact because he's not a 165 lbs. He will run through you, over you, around you, and then by you. He is a complete back. It was most certainly a seniority award. Not taking anything away from Elder because he's a good player, but he's no Jalen Hurd. Also just noticed this earlier... his highlights from this year! Enjoy fellas!
  5. My sentiments exactly, but oh well... They love their private schools, don't they!
  6. A bit sensitive are we? I could care less about Ensworth's SOS, rankings, or any of the rest of it. The reality is that there are quite a few 5A/6A schools that would fair well against the the best that D2 has to offer, and that's just a fact. And after losing Elder this year, Ensworth will struggle to keep their rankings up because their running game will struggle. Ferby is not Elder.
  7. I completely agree. We would have easily given Whitehaven and Maryville fits. I don't believe either defense would have been successful against Hurd after seeing how much Dodson and Prevo were able to do against each other. It would be interesting to see what Ensworth or any of the "top" D2 schools would do against a top 5A/6A school. For some reason, Bowers has taken those games out of Ensworth's schedule. Guess he didn't like that whoopin Oakland put on him in 2010.
  8. No he clearly stated in his interview last night that he would narrow down his schools next football season.
  9. Well you better start recruiting those linebackers ASAP, because Hurd will be 225 by next season and much stronger.
  10. If you truly believe this and are not aware of the rest of our offense, then you all will most certainly lose! Not a one-man-team. You'll see!
  11. Funny.... Just about as funny as it's going to be when our stellar group of young men bring home that Gold Ball! You have no idea what you're writing about, and your lack of knowledge about the situation nor your credibility on this site (3 posts), does not warrant a worthy response. So, go back and hide in your little hole, "rabbit"....
  12. And yes, for clarification purposes, he did leave MBA. If he had of been kicked out, he wouldn't have played his sophomore year at Beech- which he did. Try to bash a 16 year old all you want, it's not going to stop him from running the ball down your throats! More Jalen haters - swinging from his n*ts! I love it!!
  13. Because he was unhappy there. The coach that they fired was close to him, so he left also.
  14. You're right... every team gets better as the season evolves, and that includes us too. I'll say it again... we're battle-tested and have beat some pretty amazing teams to hold the title of 14-0. Your schedule is weak. Please tell me what stellar programs you have beaten this year? You have not played a Mt. Juliet, Henry Co., Northeast or Northside type of team? What phenomenal team have you beaten that gives you an ounce of confidence that you will be able to go toe-to-toe with our Bucs?
  15. We're not worshippers; we're just fans of our team. Just like you are. I dont have a lot to compare to, but just by looking at these couple of games below and the Dickson scrimmage, you may need more than kryptonite! Columbia vs Tullahoma = Close game Tullahoma vs Cookeville = Close Game Beech vs Cookeville = 56 - 0 Columbia vs Antioch = Close game Antioch vs Station Camp = Close Game Beech vs Station Camp = 41- 7
  16. Dickson county embarrassed Columbia 28-0 the second week of the season. Beech played Dickson county in a scrimmage two weeks before that. Beech was beating Dickson County 26-0 at the half when both head coaches agreed to pull their starters. I know common opponents mean nothing to most of you people. I also understand both teams have gotten better all year. I am just saying that Beech is a big , physical, explosive team and looking at Columbia's schedule, they have not played a team as good as Beech! As far as Beech's defense goes, they held Jackson Northside(one of the best offenses in the state, no matter what classification were talking about) to only 7 points for an entire half! Let the talking be walked out on the field. Approximately 34 hours to kickoff!
  17. Mr. Hurd will have over 3300 yards and the single season record along with a state championship, after the final buzzer sounds Friday night!
  18. After looking at Columbia's schedule this year and comparing the teams that the Lions faced that played against teams that the Bucs faced, it just appears to me that they really don't realize who they're facing Friday night. The Bucs are battle tested, and no disrespect to the Lions, but there is no indication that this outcome will be any different than the rest of our season. Hurd will show out, and if by some great miracle they contain him at all, we have too many other offensive weapons to counter with. Also, I am not concerned with how much experience or how many times that Columbia has been in this position because they have never faced "this" team.
  19. Exactly! What was that about JNS fans?
  20. Columbia played against Dickson County week 2 and faced a 220 lb running back. He was no where near as fast as Hurd! The Dickson County back rushed for 235 yards against Columbia. They have never seen a kid who can run over the line backer and out run the safety like Hurd has done all year! Columbia will not stop Hurd with the state championship and single season rushing record on the line!
  21. North side was a good team. They were fast but undersized! I believe they were coached well! I just don't think they had ever experienced a team that physical. Every team all year long has talked about stopping Hurd but yet to do it. North Side was well coached, but like many other teams had no answer for the Hurd! We at Beech wish them nothing but great success going forward. It was business, nothing personal!
