We wouldn't see them until Round 3

Finally a game where our offense was firing on all cylinders. Wellington seems to be getting his swag back. Honestly Whitwell was a little better than I anticipated and may win 1 or 2 in the playoffs. I honestly think their play calling handicaps them some. They have some decent looking athletes.

On the positive side Wellington looked tons better in the second half. Timing seems to be getting dialed in and was staying in the pocket making much better throws.

Yes McKenzie would be my dark horse. They are well coached and have been there the last two years. They have some experience the others don't. I just think the other 4 are the front runners at this point.

Add Union City and Moore County to that list. MASE, UC, Moore County, and Dresden all have a shot on the west side. I know you are high on MASE but honestly watching them last season and seeing the amount of athletes they had I'm not convinced they beat any of the other 4 this year.

I would love to see the wing t. For some reason we can't get any rhythm going in the spread. Wing t worked for many years

Just curious on the reason you wouldn't

Tried to schedule a power house school from west TN but they declined. Franklin Co 5a, Sequatchie co 3a, North Jackson 4a, MTCS #1 ranked team in DII A, Oliver springs was supposed to have a decent team this year and it could've gave us a decent comparison or even potentially meet them in the semis. What hurts is we have one of the weakest regions in the state. I do agree and hope we do schedule even tougher opponents but there is a fine line. The Oakland type teams don't benefit us anymore than lookout valley. I am all for playing the best but you also want the kids to learn and progress as a team.

It's pure luck. Honestly I hope we get a first down this week. Maybe MTCS will feel sorry for us and let us score.

Depends on how many yellow flags we accumulate. Honestly, if we execute on offense I think we can get the win but if we can't line up correctly and have 150 yards in penalties it may be a long night. MTCS is very disciplined and are very good up front. This game should give us a much better idea of where we are.

This will be a tough week

I look for it to be a very good game. You guys look solid on both sides of the ball. Do your fans travel well?

Once the new rankings come out this could be #1 ranked public single A vs #1 private single A. I'm hoping the speedway has a full house.

Discipline another factor we must have this week. This team has so much talent but too many times have gotten in their own way. I'm with powerp line back up in the wing t if that's what it takes.

This will be a tough test for the Pirates. We have to execute on offense to get win this week. Probably our toughest opponent of the year.
