  1. Starters by Postion vs Westmoreland this Friday and Grade they Entered CPA QB - Kindergarten RB - 10th Transfer from Another Private TE - 7th Grade. Family relocated from Seattle OT - Kindergarten LG - 8th grade. Entire family of 3 kids transferred from Franlin schools. Lives 3 miles from CPA C - Kindergarten RG - Kindergarten RT - 8th transfer from another private school in Brentwood WR - Kindergarten WR - Kindergarten WR - kindergarten Defense DT - kindergarten same player as LT NG - 8th - same player as LG above DT - kindergarten OLB - Kindergarten OLB kindergarten ILB - kindergarten ILB - same player as RB above CB - Kindergarten same player as WR CB - kindergarten same player as WR SS - Kindergarten same player as WR FS - Kindergarten I'm a parent of a CPA player that started CPA in Kindergarten 12 years ago. I know all of these kids on the team. I was involved in youth sports with many of them when they were much younger. We're blessed to have great kids and families at CPA. Many of the kids are great athletes. I won't deny that, but none of them were recruited to CPA to play football. Just like public schools we have cycles and in particular there are a large number of juniors on this team that are very talented and a handful of really talented seniors as well. Just 5-6 years ago CPA was 3-7 then 5-5 in 10 AA. We had about the same level of talent then as we have now. We regularly sent 1-2 players a year to play college football. But we were not nearly as well coached or trained. No one complained about CPA recruiting when we were 3-7 or 5-5. We changed head coaches and hired a whole new new staff save 2 longtime assistants that we kept. We also hired a new strenghth and conditioning coach. Those hires are the biggest reasons for success. Since those changes 4 years ago Ingle Martin has lost 1 regular season game at CPA. There is only 1 starter on the roster that came to CPA since ingle was hired. There is no recruiting of football players at CPA. This staff just gets more from the kids that were already at CPA. They work harder than any HS football program I've ever seen in the Weight room , in conditioning , and at practice. Our coaches are also fanatical when it comes to film study and preparation. Our kids know tendencies and what the other team is going to do before they step on the field. They are also great play callers and excellent at in game adjustments. There are several assistants with college coaching experience and they are really good coaches. It Sounds better on the internet to accuse CPA of recruiting, but It's Just simply not true at CPA. If it was true then you need to go after Ann Purdy the Elementary school principal at CPA because about 85% of our roster entered 12-13 years ago in Kindergarten when Ingle Martin was still in high school or college himself. We are Looking forward to a fun game this Friday against a great opponent in Westmoeland. We are Praying for safety for both teams. We Hope our visitors feel welcome and appreciated. Just wanted to set the record straight on any recruiting accusations.
  2. Goons, what happened? Somebody give a good summary of the game.
  3. MC looked great on 1st drive to tie it 7-7 but CPA made nice adjustments on D and controlled line of scrimmage on O MC has great coaches and talented players but CPA was just too much and won 42-14.
  4. I've heard at least one of the MC kids has scholarship offers. The WRs #4 and #10 look very talented as does the RB #9 and QB #19 I believe. Who on MC is being recruited by colleges? And which schools are recruiting? This will be a close game and is by far the best offensive team CPA has faced so far this year.
  5. http://nfhsnetwork.com/schools/christ-presbyterian-academy-nashville-tn Address for CPA online video broadcasts of football games.
  6. Looking forward to a great game on Friday. Who are the playmakers on the MC offense and defense? The game will be broadcast online for those not making the trip up to the Den.
  7. Have much respect for both of these fine programs. I think East Nashville will win this week but Maplewood will score and make it close for a while. I think East has a few more weapons though. I think East will lose to Pearl Cohn though. We'll see. Best of luck to all of these programs.

  9. We'll know more about East Nashville in 2 weeks after they have played Maplewood and Pearl Cohn. They have looked very strong so far, but the teams they have played have not fared well overall.

  11. Where did the normally unstoppable Tornadoes have problems? What if any weaknesses on defense did they show last night that could resurface in the playoffs?
  12. Nerd , I think those jerseys were a gift from the CPA team in honor of those players. Most of the CPA team rode a bus to Tison Marks funeral this summer. There is much love and respect for Giles Co from CPA.
  13. Wise Man Giles, You are your fans are a class act. Best of Luck on the rest of your season.
  14. Great effort tonight from CPA. A lot of hard work and preperation paid off. To those that want to watch any CPA game online this season http://www.nfhsnetwork.com/schools/christ-presbyterian-academy-nashville-tn
  15. Encourage everyone to come on out. We've got plenty of room on the home side. They can Set their Uverse DVRs to record and watch at home later.
  16. Bobcat fans, Tell me about your team this year. Who are the leaders on offense and defense. CPA is expecting a hard fought game with a talented and well coached team. Heard on sports radio here in Nashville to expect a huge crowd from Giles Co in attendance as many folks plan to stay over Fri night see Bo Wallace play for Ole Miss on Saturday. Should be a lot of fun.
  17. Congrats to Jackson SS on their state championship. Been on spring break for the past week and just now on the board.
  18. If some of the accusations leveled against CPA by one poster were as clear cut as some would have you believe then CPA and or the TSSAA would have leveled sanctions years ago. The reality is that these accusations were first made years ago in writing to those in charge at CPA, they were investigated by the admin at the request of the Board, they were found not to be true, and the source of said allegations was found to be unreliable. Some other posters on here disagree with the current rules. I won't debate the validity of the current rules that put public and private schools with a multiplier in the same divisions/districts. I can't predict the future. There could be a public private split and some of the reasons for that might be merited. I won't debate what the rules should be. I simply speak as a voice of reason to state that CPA coaches, staff, and admin have followed the rules as they've been written and administered by the TSSAA for that last 8 years. I am close to the situation and truly believe that the CPA coaches and admin staff have operated within compliance to the current rules for the last 8 years. There was one admitted clerical mistake two years ago and one vacated win two years ago for playing a kid 1 game early for like 20 seconds in a game. That kid was eligible the very next week and was a role player the rest of the year. The other situation often referenced on a transfer was a situation where the TSSAA ruled the kid eligible on a hardship case in writing and then later changed their ruling and apologized. CPA was found to have no fault by the TSSAA. I've seen a copy of the letter apologizing to CPA myself. I've implored one poster to stop making false accusations or using half truths and innuendo to make larger accusations that simply are not true. If anything my efforts only cause him to respond and in some cases make more accusations. I'm done debating this topic with him on Coach T. Any defense just leads to more accusations. Silence is actually better...the last 4 weeks of silence on this topic were great, but that one poster will do anything they can to get back into the conversation and keep it going. That leads me to believe he has an agenda though he states otherwise. I will say this...if somehow I am wrong and there are some allegations of wrongdoing that are proven true in a court, at the TSSAA, or are investigated and self reported by CPA, or investigated and proven true by some other governing body then I will seek out that one poster out and apologize to him personally and publicly on here. I'm not blinded by loyalty to the point that I'm insisting I am right just to be right especially if there was reliable evidence to the contrary. I'm just close enough to the situation to see on a daily basis that those in charge at CPA are playing by and within the current rules. That's it. I'm done on this topic.
  19. But hey, after all this time, I am willing to start a clean slate and keep it simply to sport. We'll see... KRBKS KRBKS, you were able to live up to this declaration you made above for about 3-4 weeks which was good. But I guess this thread got too hot and you had to chime in on non basketball/sport issues. I challenge you to only comment on basketball X and O's and not address any off the court issues for Lent. I'll do the same if you do it. It might be liberating for you? What was the last 3-4 weeks of not commenting on Coach T like? We actually went about 2 weeks with no CPA bashing from anyone. But once others got into bashing CPA and somebody replied in support of them that was your entry back in the game?
  20. Hearing the Boys Region 6 AA championship is on Wednesday night the 26th and not the 27th as shown on the bracket. I heard they are playing the girls and boys championships at Spring Hill on the same night on the 26th.
  21. I'm impressed with Cascade fans and followers. They bring a great crowd and are very nice people. I hope CPA plays you guys again deep in the playoffs. Well coached team with some talented players.
  22. "But hey, after all this time, I am willing to start a clean slate and keep it simply to sport. We'll see... " -- Krbks I am willing to take you at your word here and match what I think you are saying with my own actions. Will take much strength from both of us to only comment on the sport and actual game of basketball rather than off the court issue, rumors, etc.. We can't control what others post but we can keep our beliefs and convictions to ourselves on the outside issues and only comment on the sport. I do pray that is what you are saying/pledging.
  23. Krbks, I don't want to attack you and if I have in the past then I apologize. Please forgive me. I don't agree with any posters that make personal attacks on you or anyone else. I know people get their feelings hurt and say things they don't mean at times and I am sure I have done that in the past. I can only apologize for me. And I am sorry if I hurt you in the past. On the other hand, I haven't seen any apologies from you for the grief and pain you have caused innocent kids and their families at CPA. We're probably never going to agree on many of these points we keep debating about CPA so we'll just have to agree to disagree on a lot of things. We just see them differently. I also realize some of the things you argue are wrongdoing on CPA's part are things that the TSSAA sees differently from you as well. I have seen first hand communication from Bernard Childress to CPA in writing that clearly contradicts the opinions and statements you've made on here about certain players, the rules, their eligibility, CPA's role and responsibility in the matter, etc.. If CPA follows the rules as interpreted by the TSSAA and you disagree with the rules or the interpretation of the rules then we won't always agree that CPA has done something wrong if they took direction from the TSSAA to begin with and were doing what they felt was right in the situation and what the TSSAA said was right. In many posts you reference a higher moral authority and responsibility of CPA. While I agree that CPA subscribes to a higher moral authority than the TSSAA, I can't say your interpretation of that authority and others at CPA is going to be the same. And from reading your posts and your blog that is probably a very large source of your frustration with the admin at CPA. You just see things differently from them philosophically on a variety of issues. I realize I'm likely not going to ever change your mind on just about anything related to CPA basketball so I may not debate with you as much going forward. I do wish you and your family well though. You're such a bright man with many talents. I would love to hear you are involved in basketball and coaching and about how your teams are doing, etc.. Let us know won here when and if you can.
