  1. Any details in this game? Did Portland play terrible after the first quarter, or is Gallatin that much better than them?
  2. I agree that this could possibly be a good game. However, I don't believe people really know how improved Northwest is this season. I am not affiliated with Northwest in any way, but I was at the jamboree last night, and this looked like a completely different team from the previous few seasons. They are extremely talented, and all I know about Stewart Co. is Jake West. But, if West is all Stewart has this season, Northwest wins this one easily.
  3. Maybe Cheatham is done, but I think they will go out playing their butts off. It's tournament time, so who knows what can happen. There is no doubt Giles is the more talented team. But, hopefully Cheatham will have some heart this game and not get pounded again.
  4. Well I guess it's official as to who the best fans are in the district. Good luck to all the 10AA teams in the region.
  5. I predicted Baines to get the MVP, but Attebery deserved it more. She really stepped up in the first two games of the tournament and had a solid championship. She might have played her best basketball of the season against Sycamore. There is no doubt that the right person got the MVP award.
  6. I'm sorry but most of these Cheatham jokes are getting old. Nikki Ellis just never got into the flow of the game and I think that was the biggest factor of the game. Cheatham shut her down and she missed alot of shots. Looks like we will see these two again in the region finals.
  7. I agree that we will see Cheatham vs. Harpeth in the finals of this regional tournament. I just don't see any team in district 9AA that can compete with either of these teams. Like I've said before, Loretto is the only team that could give either of these teams a problem. But, I think Harpeth eliminates them in the second round.
  8. I would say that Cheatham and Sycamore is probably the greatest rivalry on the boys side. It was a little one-sided for a few years, but there have been some great games in the past. The double OT game last year at Sycamore, and the double OT game this year at Cheatham were two of the best basketball games to watch. I do agree with catfish, that the Cheatham-Harpeth games are always intense. Cheatham-Waverly and Sycamore-Waverly are probably the next rivalries.
  9. If Abby's injury is more serious than we have previously thought, I'm not so sure about the chances of the Lady Cubs. She is a very important part of that team and without her, it could mean trouble. But then again, they didn't have her for a while last night, and some other players (Koelman, Hunter, Taylor, and Batts) stepped up anf filled that role. Once again, congrats to Cheatham.
  10. There are plenty of rivalries in the district, but I thought it would be interesting to ask this question. What is the best rivalry in 10AA now?
  11. Wow, that was a very intelligent post. It's obvious Cheatham is the better team, they beat Harpeth last night. Also, Cheatham must get to the region finals to get to state. And, Cheatham stinks weiner? Priceless.

    10AA

Ricco will definitely be playing basketball somewhere next year because of his ability and athleticism. I hope Noel can find somewhere to play. I don't think it will be too hard for him to though because he can shoot the lights out. Robert Derrick is a question mark because of his attitude. If he can calm down some, he can play. Also, Ryan Hollis is a big body and I see him playing at a small college somewhere.
  13. Gosh, how long did it take you to come up with those names. Those were great. Anyways, I don't know why I've been arguing with you. You are always right and Catfish and I are always wrong. I guess that's what you want to hear. Good luck to Mont. Central when they play again NEXT season.
  14. Well I guess if you knew anything about basketball and wasn't just on the board to bash Cheatham every chance you get then you would know Cheatham finished second in the district tournament last year. They lost to Sycamore in a very good championship game. Plus, they got to the region semi-finals where they were beat by Giles Co. by 10. Also, I don't recall anyone from Cheatham pounding their chests. Maybe you were thinking of Chris Goodwin(last year) and Robert Derrick from Harpeth. Wrong team pal.
  15. Nikki Ellis deserved the the MVP award. She had a bad tournament but she had a heck of a season. Congratulations to the Lady Cubs on the victory last night. Casey Attebery had a great tournament. Good luck to the Lady Cubs in the region.
  16. Well, even as a Cheatham fan, I am going to go ahead and say Sycamore deserved that game much more than Cheatham did. Sycamore shot the lights out, and once again Cheatham could not buy a basket. Cheatham better get back on the right track if they want to contend with Giles Co.
  17. Congratulations to Waverly on the win last night. They looked very impressive against Harpeth. Kevin Rawlings did an excellent job with this team this season.
  18. Once again, why in the heck does everyone think Brian Bullard is such a great basketball player. Yes, he is a big presence inside, but he is not as good as catfish and others make him out to be. If you put a body on him, he's not going anywhere. If I recall correctly, earlier in the year at Sycamore, Blake Guye came in the ballgame and pretty much shut Bullard down. Also, John Kinman does not scare me that much either. Sure he has a few good games here and there but he is not consistent at all. If Moss guards him, he might not score. And I'm not sure the Cubs can double down in the post because that would leave the shooters from Sycamore open, and even Cheatham knows you can't do that. Jesse Moulton is really the only inside guy that concerns me going into this game. He can shoot the three well and take it inside. If Cheatham can find a way to limit his scoring, Cheatham wins by 10+.
  19. Johnny Jackson from Cheatham Co. gets my vote. He took a team that was 1-26 fours years ago and they have been very successful the last three seasons. and earning a birth in the district championship last season. He knows the game inside and out like no other coach in the district.
  20. Waverly wins this one easily. I don't see anyone on Harpeth stopping Hollis or Ricco. I'll say Waverly by 14. I don't think Harpeth is that great defensively either. The Cubs missed a ton of wide open shots last night, and I mean a ton. They missed about 7 or 8 wide open layups in the third quarter. Noel went about 1 for 16 from three. I promise you that will never happen again. Yes, Harpeth is quick and is a decent team, but their defense is not that impressive.
  21. Catfish, KingCub was in attendance, I spoke to him. Anyways, like I've said before, Cheatham will not shoot that bad again. When a team goes 1 for 25 from three, they will not win. But, I don't see Cheatham shooting that badly again, and unless Sycamore shoots really well I think Cheatham beats them for a third time this season.
  22. Yes that's so hilarious. I think not. Anyways, I will keep my same prediction I have kept for a while now, Cheatham proves they are the best team in 10AA and beats Harpeth in what should be a close game.
  23. Waverly won twice, not sure of the scores. Cheatham rebounds from the bad shooting performance and defeats Sycamore by 10.
  24. Once again, you are making me really sick. If you don't have anything better to do than bash middle school girls and coaches, get off the computer. The best place for you is not on this board. How about you find some other middle school girl teams that went 22-2. I bet you there aren't many out there. First of all pal, the conference tourney means absolutely nothing. Yes, it would be nice to win it, but it doesn't mean that much. They won the Regional tournament which is very important and beat Charlotte. Ok wow, they got beat in the mid-state finals. Which means one team was better than them on that night. Any other time, they beat Charlotte. I would say you are the embarassment. Coach Carter is a great basketball coach and he couldn't help his players were much better than the other team. Those girls are very good players for their age. I enjoyed watching them this season and I'm sure they will do well next season in 9th grade action. Plus, can the girls control who they play in a tournament? In case you didn't know, no they can't. They are a very good middle school team and they can't control the strength of the other teams. Also, if you are embarassed by the girls, wouldn't that include your daughter? It is a team sport. Like I said, I'm tired of you running your mouth and everyone else is too. So please, stay off here because no one cares what you think because you don't even have the facts right. Congrats to Cheatham on a very SUCCESSFUL season.
