  1. Assuming that all of this is true, I'd say Harpeth has done pretty well this year with a player that didn't want to be there and didn't get along with the coach.
  2. Yes I agree that these will be good games. But what the heck are you doing comparing Bullard to Noel, Ricco, and Derrick. That is really funny. If anybody is exciting to watch off Sycamore, it's Jesse Moulton, not Brian Bullard. Good luck to everyone.
  3. Well, like I've said in other threads, this is going to be a great basketball game and I'll go with Waverly by 4. But, I will not be suprised to see Sycamore pull the upset and advance to the finals. If Sycamore shoots the three well, they win the game.
  4. It will definitely be a good night of basketball and both games are very hard to predict. In the first matchup, Cheatham and Harpeth. Cheatham must stop the penetration of Robert Derrick, and they must find a way to stop Scott Erland. Erland destroyed the Cubs at Cheatham this year. If they contain those two, Cheatham advances by about 8. If Harpeth keeps Cheatham off the FT line and contains Noel and Brink, they advance. It should be a very good basketball game. Now to Sycamore and Waverly. All the Waverly fans will probably start arguing about this one, but I think Sycamore has a legit shot at beating the Tigers tonight. Sycamore has played them very close this season, and now at a nuetral site, this is going to be a great game. Ricco is going to make some great plays, but if Sycamore limits those, they will advance. Also, if Sycamore shoots the ball well, they will win. I'm gonna go with Waverly by 4, but I would not be suprised if Sycamore wins and advances to the finals.
  5. There is no doubt that if Cheatham plays like they did against Waverly, they will get beat. But, I don't see them having another game like that. The Cheatham girls will be fired up for this one and I wouldn't be suprised to see them get a big lead early. I'm sure it will be a close game, but I don't think anyone is going to stop Cheatham in this tournament.
  6. It doesn't matter what the Sycamore fans wear to the game, it's not going to help their team advance except to the consolation game. Cheatham bounces back from Monday's performance and beats Sycamore and leaves no doubt.
  7. I believe Cheatham takes this one by about 10 or so. Sycamore is struggling without their post player and barely defeated Creekwood. If Covington is healthy it will be a good game, if not, then Cheatham runs away with this one and moves on to the finals.
  8. Yeah Cheatham is definitely a great FT shooting team. It's always a plus in a game to make more free throws than the other team attempts.
  9. Like everyone else has said, Stewart Co. over Mont. Central tonight. As for Jill Covington's injury, yes, she did come back and actually didn't look too bad when she returned. There was one time when she fell and it looked as if she might have tweaked it again, but she got up ok. I would say that she will probably be ready to go by Wednesday. But, Cheatham will still beat Sycamore in what should be a good ballgame.
  10. Mont.Central and Stewart Co. will play tonight in Dover with the winner meeting Harpeth in the other semi-final. Not sure of the game time.
  11. Even though their record didn't show it, I thought Stewart Co. was very competitive this season, and with a few bounces their way, they could have won two or three more district games. Coach Bramlett did a great job with the team.
  12. Well it's tournament time, it's not all about individual stats now, it's about advancing in the tournament. Whoever gets the MVP, congratulations, both guys have great talent. But at this time period, its about teams advancing. That's just my opinion.
  13. Well it looks like the upset could not take place tonight. Trust me, as a Cheatham fan, I would not have been upset to see Harpeth fall to Stewart Co. But, the matchup will take place on Wednesday, Cheatham vs. Harpeth at 5:30. I think the Cubs will finally beat the Indians and move on to the championship. I am still going with Creekwood tomorrow night. If Sycamore shoots well, I think they will win it though.
  14. I don't see Giles or Fairview beating Cheatham or Harpeth in the region tournament. Loretto is the only team in that district that has a great chance of beating either team.
  15. I don't see Fairview competing for the district title next season. I know their record isn't great this season and I believe they lose three seniors. They are a very young team right now but I'm sure they will be improved next season. I see them maybe in the middle of the pack or lower.
  16. From what I've heard, they met and determined the Cheatham Co. seeding. I think it was up to the principals and administration. I'm not sure as to why they didn't decide on the awards.
  17. Well this is no doubt the toughest game to predict in the tournament. I think if these two teams played 10 times the record would be 5-5. It's who's hot on what night. My prediction for this game is Creekwood over Sycamore because with Terrance Darden back, it is a big boost for Creekwood and I think they will advance in the tournament.
  18. KingCub is just stating he thinks Noel should be the MVP. He has the right just like everyone else to say what he wants to say. Like I've said, if I had a choice I wouldn't know who to pick because I think it's close. But, if I had to pick, Ricco is my choice because his team is sitting at No.1 in the district and I don't see anyone but Cheatham stopping them in the tournament.
  19. You cannot punish everyone on that team because the mistake was not theirs. It's bad enough for the girl not getting to play the rest of her senior season and enjoy another trip to the state tournament, which to me, seems like it will happen. It is very unfortunate for her, but you can't blame 15 other girls on the team for something they had nothing to do with. They are just out there to play the game of basketball and do what they do best. That's why I feel so bad for the girl, she just wanted to play basketball and this happens. Good luck to the Lady Cubs in the postseason.
  20. I would say the people in 10AA could talk with confidence since we have two of the best teams in the state. Yes, Loretto could beat either team, but if Cheatham and Harpeth have their best night, there is no stopping them. I just don't see anyone stopping these two teams in the district or region tournament this season. Also, I see Sycamore over Creekwood and Stewart Co. over Mont.Central. Then, Sycamore over Stewart Co. But it's tournament time, anything can happen.
  21. I think there is no doubt who the three are now. Casey Attebery, Abby Lawson, and Kristen Baines.
  22. Waverly probably was hurt most, but I guarantee you Sycamore is very happy with the decision to make Cheatham the No.2. But, back to Waverly, I don't think it would have mattered who they played, I didn't see them getting out of the first round anyways.
  23. Well the way I see it is that Harpeth and Cheatham will be the top two teams in the district. Sycamore will be tough as well next season. I'm not really sure what Creekwood, Waverly, Central, or Stewart Co. has coming back. I know that Waverly loses the core of their lineup. Cheatham returns 5 players who have had alot of playing time this season. So really at this point, it's a tossup as to who the toughest team will be.
  24. Loretto is a good team, but I think come tournament time, I don't see Cheatham or Harpeth losing unless they play each other, which I believe will be likely in the district and region finals.
  25. Cheatham will probably be second like everyone has said. I do not think it should matter if they finish 2nd or 7th, they should still have three players.
