If these associations like the Tssaa were interested in saving lives they would not be playing football in August. The first game would be in Sept the way it supposed to be.
Big difference in PLAYING them and SCRIMMAGING them in the spring. One counts on your record and one doesn't. You'll find that huntingdon is the only 1A school who will attempt that, and that can't be disputed no matter how much dresden and Mckenzief fans attempt to tear them down. Dresden did scrimmage Henry co..it was Henry co jv.....
Yeah, they lacked playing in west tn 2A. It was a joke this year. But congrats...i've heard it said you guys were the worst team to ever make it to the finals, but at least you made it...right?
I think people get all carried away thinking with their heart and not their head. Look at the teams each has beaten. Who has beat the best? That's you winner.
I said this last week. WC is coming to Paul Ward Stadium. Tough, tough, TOUGH to beat the Mustangs on their home field. Toughest place in west tn besides johnny hale stadium, where by chance they just happen to beat MILAN this year.
I would agree with most of your assessment. I think the depth issue is what could hurt WC in the end. Huntingdon's style of offense breaks people down. If you can't stand toe to toe with them physically then your finished. Your weight room assessment may also be spot on. It explains why they were able to beat some of the teams they've beat who had more talent than them.
Huntingdon's kicking game is far from average this year. I may be the best in 1A. Whichever team gets away from what they do best will be the team that loses.
Wing t is what Camden and Lewis co run. Huntingdon's offense is nothing like either of those other than they have wings. It's brutal on defenses evidently. Looks to me like they run one play 80 percent of the time.
I've not seen Wayne play but I promise they aren't the best team huntingdon has seen. If both teams run the ball, and both are physical, then this game will be decided on speed. The fastest team wins.
There qb is only half the equation. Milan did a pretty good job of keeping him in check with one of the fastest defenses in the state. So they proceeded to pound them into submission with their wings. It's a double edged sword. That's the game that keeps coming back in my mind that showcased how good huntingdon is. If your defense isn't very sound your going to be exploited and pay dearly.
