  1. Newest rankings put Fairview at #3 in 3A. Is it just me or are we being given too much credit. I thought this year we might just fly under the radar. What are your thoughts Jacketman?
  2. A lot of people count out # 25 for Fairview on defense. He plays CB/Safety. I'm not going to give anything away, but I would not throw the ball to his side, it is almost a guaranteed interception, just ask Cheatham County. I think he has had an interception against them the past three years. Then you have Moore #2 on the other side who is a solid lockdown corner. That pretty much shuts down your pass game right there, unless your coming out of the backfield or have a tight end.
  3. I can not speak much for Camden, and I wont speak much for Fairview either, for the simple fact that I will let how they play determine whether or not they are the team everyone expects them to be. I know how difficult it can be to lose a great senior class and a coaching staff, and to deal with all of the adversity. It was 42-6 when JV went in at roughly the last 5 mins of the third quarter. This game could have been a lot worse.
  4. I completely understand, just putting the thread up for future reference.
  5. 1 week at a time Jacketman. That's the mindset these boys should have.
  6. After Fairview's good win against a rival Cheatham Co and Camden losing in a close one to S. Gibson. What is everyone's thoughts on this one?
  7. After this performance, where do you think the Jackets stack up?
  8. Ahhh, #22 Garrett Wall. Yeah, he is quite the athlete, I do think he is the leader for this team this year. The one thing I can say is that this years Fairview team is a totally different team than the past 4-5 years. A lot of the same plays and formations, but the dynamic is a whole lot different. Our line is really small, But they are quick. Coach Jackson has been working on getting the boys (the line in particular) into incredible shape. I'm not going to give too much information, but just be expecting the linemen to be 15-20 yards downfield blocking for the running back. Oh, and if I forgot to mention, always keep your eye on 22, he could be anywhere, QB, RB, WR, TE, you name it.
  9. Yes, I knew we were missing something when there wasn't even the slightest bit of conversation about a rival week 0 matchup.
  10. Does anybody not have any comments on this one.... or is it the calm before the storm.
  11. Fairview will be looking to get our revenge from that last years fluke.
  12. 1 question. What is up with the fine young man that runs around with the cheatham county flag?
  13. The power back #30 maybe?? Is insane. He gains atleast 4 yards a carry. Even if you wrap him up in the backfield he manages to gain atleast 4.
  14. #22 Out of Fairview can lay a lick. #62 is always looking for the big hit.
  15. I hated seeing 7 on the sideline. I think it just goes week by week. Depending on how it feels. I think if he can practice a couple days this week and do okay then we should see him in the game friday.
  16. SC line was supposed to be big and bad like cheatham's. I still see no resemblance whatsoever. Either our line has improved, which there is no doubt it has. Or CC line is really just THAT good. Against cheatham i would like to see more touches for #4, #22, #5. I know that those 3 all start on defense and thats probably the reason they dont. Thoughts Fairview Fans?
  17. Okay take your easy touchdown and 2 points away because we had mostly back-ups in and its still 29-6.You see, it is all relevant. You can take away scores here and there, but in the end its football and crazy things happen.
  18. Our turnovers could have killed us, but our turnovers were careless. 2 interceptions were thrown and those passes were not thrown to regular WR and i believe that is why they were intercepted. A QB and his WR have to have chemistry. He has got to be able to lead them perfectly or it is going to be intercepted. Also a costly fumble on the kickoff. And another fumble from a low snap not the Qb's fault just a bad snap. Then the other turnovers came from backups, I think what SC does not realize is we start pulling starters out at end of 3rd.
  19. This is exactly what i'm thinking as i am reading all of these upset SC fans posts. SC could not stop it so why not. Against CC it is a different story. CC is a whole lot better ball team than SC.
  20. Tons of people predicted SC to beat us. Just like tons of people will predict CC to beat us too. Predictions are just opinions..... and you know what they say about opinions.
  21. Funny thing is... now that SC is out. You have no reason to be talking football either? Also when i said "that is all that needs to be said" i was hinting that there is no reason to bash on Fairview's Offensive calls. Il admit going for it on your own 14, even i was suprised. But you can't fault him for going for it on 4th down if it works. Unless of course your on your own 14, then that is questionable.
  22. Oh lord, im really not ready for this one.
  23. With all due respect sir, your team will be sitting on the couch and Fairview will be playing next friday. I think that is all that needs to be said.
