Reading the SH-DB threads quickly reminds me of why I never get on here anymore. Just a bunch of grown trolls trying to be funny. Seriously, it is high school football.

Wow, what a pathetic thread this is. I haven't been on CoachT in awhile and now I can remember why. Bunch of grown men living through high school sports and talking crap about other people's towns like it really matters. You sure are showing us Johnson City folks talking about something totally irrelevant to football or sports at all. It's almost like I'm reading conversations between junior high students. That's okay though, keep living through DB football.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's going to be a tradition for the starting QBs. Reed Hayes started it off. Two great players to wear that jersey in the past years!

I don't know about this one. Science Hill is good, but I think this one comes down to coaching. They need to play absolutely out of their minds perfect to win this one. And to "bud", I heard there's gonna be hillbilly night at New Beginnings pretty soon, you should go check it out. Right up your alley. Then, you could explain your butt-hurtness to people who might understand you.

Who knows, all these kids have younger brothers I feel like. I'm still waiting on the little Shorty Adams to get into high school, kids gonna be a monster haha. I'm not too worried about next year, just the year after for the QB position.

Lord have mercy, I think Clark's house might be on fire by the end of the night by the way some of ya'll are talking. This is pathetic. Waco and Batman are the only DB fans that I can even listen to. All the others lay out excuse after excuse. Just face it, SH is by far the better team this year. They probably will still be better next year. I have a feeling they'll put Mathes at RB, so him and Bedard will be an awesome duo. Most of the defense is coming back. And to the guy saying he is 100% positive DB will win next year.. Are you kidding me? I need you to help me make some sports bets if you can call games that well. All you can hope for now is for Maryville to stomp us. Pathetic, same old stuff year after year.

I figured I'd just go ahead and put these two together since I know they won't be posted individually. What does SH need to work on during these two weeks before they play Boone and DB to end the regular season? I think they should work on finishing all 4 quarters strong. They looked terrible last week against a good TN High team.

I think after a tough loss for TH last week, they are down for this game. I think DB beats them by 2+ touchdowns and then the argument that DB is better than SH begins. Or I could be wrong and TN high comes to play like last week and knocks off DB. This game isn't very predictable.

Went to the game, got a really unexpected result than what I thought would happen. Our guys looked horrible. It's like watching a whole different team from what I saw at Brentwood last week. The guys were moping around with their hands on their hips. Even Mcgue showed poor body language. And I really got upset when Mikey #14, laid a huge hit on one of their guys and taunted him afterwards. That didn't bother me as much as Stacy complaining about getting a flag for it. He shoulda dragged Mikey to the sidelines by the facemask for doing such a stupid thing after a great play. No matter what, win or lose, teams should play with class. Not act like a bunch of thugs. Also, really unenthusiastic crowd tonight. Just a depressing setting all around. I wouldn't call this a win, but happy we pulled it out.

Yeah after seeing the fire that SH has this year, I'm gonna go with SH by at least 3-4 touchdowns. The BA game gave some much needed confidence to a team who was probably wondering if they're even as good as they think they are. This was a much needed game for SH for the rest of the season and playoffs.

Would love to have Reed at QB still, boy was he fun to watch and he could fling it. However, I really like how were getting the ball in our best players hand every play now. Kinda like DB did with Foreman. In a QB only comparison, Reed was for sure better. But Mcgue is a better all around athlete.

Went to the game and here is my thoughts: -Our D and O line were outsized tremendously, not even close. Because of that reason, they ran the ball at will against us. -science hill has improved tremendously on getting downfield. We might be 42 points better than last year, IMO. -I'm not too worried about our O, just gotta fill those gaps on D. And did anyone notice how incredibly small out linebackers are? I felt like I was looking at little kids. Just imagine if we could have guys like Janeway, Isbell, and Nagba still.

Sevier County fans on here proving their worth now. This is pathetic. DB and SC would get smashed by BA. Anyone In 6A with the exception of a few would. None of us Topper fans are saying we'll even keep it close, but once again, this is high school football. And to you sevier county fans, you barely squeaked by Mo West, I find it really hard to believe that in one week, Mo West completely changed their football program. Waco is right, this post is too stupid now. Hopefully we meet SC in the playoffs.

I can honestly bet you didn't even go to DB, or even graduate high school for that matter. Your son must play or something. Do you miss riding that short bus to school everyday? I wondered why you weren't posting as much. It sucks not being able to see them play. Especially with such a great team this year

Decided against it this week, I guess there are only 3 of us Topper fans on here. Not worth it now. Living in Nashville now so I cant wait to see my Toppers play next Friday!!

In most cases it's usually just the kids who can't even get in a varsity game when their killing someone.

Even if there were a couple 10th graders, what does it matter? It's just preparing DB kids for physical games and making them better. Heck, when I played at SH, our 9th grade team scrimmaged plenty of JV teams. It hurt, but at the end of the day, it made us better and more physical. I do find it hard to believe they put 10th graders in though, I've never seen that at SH. They usually play it fair. But who knows, maybe the "winning" mindset has taken over in all aspects.

you might be the most annoying person on Coacht, nothing you have to say makes any sense at all. It's almost as if I'm looking at a 5 year old's posts. I know that your DB pride runs high, but how could you reasonably think that SH scores only 6? Missed PAT? 2 field goals? I think maybe you should go back to your coloring books and leave the people who actually want to talk football alone.

I guess this thread hasn't been started yet. What are you guys thinking? This obviously isn't the same Mo West team as last year that we faced, but is SH even better than last year? I think it'll be close, and similar to the matchup a couple years back. I take SH 42 MW 35

Alright buddy, everyone knows Science Hill has never been a football school. SH fans barely expect much out of them. The system is finally turning around and maybe they can get some big game experience with the new conference setup. Apparently, our athletes are too focused smoking weed and having fun then succeeding in their season.

Exactly, doesn't matter. Science Hill should destroy any other team in this area besides DB, Tn High and some others due to their size. I see a shift in athletic interest between basketball-football. Really disappointed with the basketball program here now. Not really looking forward to this new conference setup, but I am excited to see SH grow playing higher caliber teams.

So Im guessing you are a player for SH. Its true that Mcgue is the better athlete, IMO. But, Mcgue doesn't have the strong running game to work with that EH has. He ran all over us last year and most likely he'll do it again. Science Hill hasn't had a strong defense in years. Mostly because they still use the buddy-buddy coaching system to hire their coaches. But, Science Hill, with enough offense, will win this game. They have more depth, and more talent. Elizabethton is always a good team and I wouldn't be surprised if the outcome came out in their favor either. Final Score prediction (31 SH ) (28 EHS)
