It's a fact Greater South Pittsburg Area Academy GSPAA (The private school masquerading as a public school and recruiting players within a 50 mile radius of South Pittsburg) doesn't travel well. An analysis of their games reveals a remarkable downward trend in performance when they travel more than 20 miles. Since this is a 120 mile trip one way, there is definitely a statistical advantage for CA. [2016] South Pittsburg (TN) 24, [2016] Columbia Academy (Columbia, TN) 29 on a neutral field, so add at least 3 points for home field for CA. At least SP fans can get a decent meal in Columbia. That's going to be a long quite trip back to the Valley Friday night. Might I suggest an audio book......something inspirational perhaps...........

MustangNation007 is like the Whining Class protesting Trump's win. TSSAA officials by far dislike the private schools from what I've seen. Huntingdon and NCS were the beneficiaries and victims of multiple bad and missed calls. Put it to bed man! Going back to 1983 when I played, my team traveled down and played Cleveland and ref's let OL literally tackle me and my fellow linebackers practically every play, not one holding call, kind of like Huntingdon's OL the other night. It happens. Everyone who had played football in TN knows bad officiating is going to happen because the (1) officials are hard to find (2) TSSAA doesn't have a formal process for rewarding the better officials from the rotten apples. You guys had a chance to beat WC earlier in the season and didn't. Had you done that Huntingdon wouldn't even have been in Nashville playing last Friday. You had no chance to beat them in a rematch. You saved alot of gas money and probably spared yourself a bad meal in Waynesboro. You should be thanking those officials! Things happen. No move on before I really start giving you grief.

From what I've gathered Yes. Possible reason is a close relative may or may not have been a player who left due to an issue but otherwise had a stellar career at NCS, and may or may not have a close relative who may or may not be associated with a sec school which may have upset another sec school last week................I believe the anger is a little mis directed. NCS has to enforce the rules evenly and without regard to past or future athletic performance. Having said that.......what a great story on Coach Rice and his sons! I got teary eyed thinking about how proud he has got to be of his family and all of the great memories they have created.

You nailed it. Coach Rice and crew have probably watched the Huntingdon film and there's a game plan in place where NCS will see a lot of counter plays and passes in the flat. I see QB Rice putting on a option clinic as well. Unless things get better in a hurry I forsee WC - 42 - NCS 27 or worse.

Sweater vests will win it again this year. Columbia Academy 28 - South Pitts 22 CA has played a tough schedule and they are well coached. Two areas South Pitt is greatly lacking in.

If he were honest Walker would say it will be a close game for the 1st Quarter then NCS will make a few adjustments and open up a 28-7 half-time lead. NCS then pounds and grounds during 3rd and a running clock for the 4th quarter. Walker will be on his way back on 40 West by 9:15 ish and snug in bed by midnight.

Yikes Wildcat. Of course NCS was definitely missing a few starters when they played MTCS a few weeks ago and pulled out a late win....but IF NCS can make it to Waynesboro in two weeks I'd put the line at WC -13 at least. I watched WC on NFHS network tonight and am in awe.

If TC starts whining about having to play Clarksville Academy (CA) then you definitely will have hit rock bottom as a program. CA has the most overrated coach in history of football. CA's HC Todd Hood(lum) couldn't coach his way out of a bathroom stall. Trading NCS for CA is like dropping Alabama off your schedule and picking up Vanderbilt. Trust me this will be an auto win 4 out of 5 years at a minimum.

South Pitt? If Dresser Winn's out at Dresden, then the smart money would be Wayne County (unless NCS can pull a big upset). You're living in the past man. Those East teams are perpetually playing for a Silver ball against the West teams now. Just ask the Embarrassador, oops I meant the Ambassador next time he's sober. He'll tell ya. A team from the West will mercy rule the East rep. again this year.

That's good to know. I just watched some of the 2011 WC championship game against South Pitt. Wow, those Rice kids at QB are clones of each other. Just amazing how flawless their footwork when passing and dazzling when running the option. What really amazed me was the defense of that team. Ouch! Bone jarring hits. They blew up South Pitt's plays and caused chaos. In your opinion how does this year's WC defense compare with the 2011 team maybe on a 1-10 scale.
