  1. I didnt have a good year last year... just didnt enjoy it. Im just sticking w/ football.
  2. I think they just tell the coaches which thats how we found out who was on all-region, but it could be on a website. People from Temple that made it are: Joey Skogen , Seth Skogen, Josh Smith, Kevin Smithson, and Colton Brown.
  3. Temple by 10. I know at the scrimmage McCallie was missing some guys but theyve lost alot from last year. Temple: 55 McCallie: 45
  4. good call oldtime... i figured one more post before i go to bed. This year for Temple sounds like 2 years ago when we were even ranked most of the season and ended up in the final four. I dont know if we will win it, but I think we'll go to state and do good. Goodnight
  5. your right ... some parents complain about alot of things. But for the most part the parents worked hard to make this year what it was and raised the money that we needed.
  6. I do disagree with the pathetic part , but other than that what he said did make alot of sense. How many transfers did we get this year for football? none. How many for bball? 4 or 5. And I dont think Grace will beat Temple next year in football either, in 2 years though.
  7. as much as i hate to say it , your right.
  8. That ought to be a good one. I think South Pitt will be its strongest the next couple of years from what ive heard. I dont know about Boyd, but theyre always good. And the rivalry makes it even better.
  9. i thought gifted meant your like mentally retarded? And Im sorry if you think that. Its possible that Grace can beat temple, and they may...but it wont be no cakewalk.
  10. well we already have a booster club... made up of parents. We made money by parents working at the games (concessions, selling sweatshirts, working the gate) or doing our once a year fundraiser. Honestly I dont know how much the school helped us ... or even if they did at all. But I do know that HPBC could have helped us SOME , possibly to get a field. Because really... who wants to come play for a team that doesnt have a field? And that in itself not having a field is not really paving the way for future success for the football program at Temple. It is kind of saying... Lets have football for 2-3 years and when we dont have enough players to field a team we'll just drop football. Sorry just blowing some smoke.
  11. Its goin to be tough if they dont get a qb. If Dee is QB, they will more than likely change the offense to a throwing wing-t from what ive heard. But ... I dont see why someone wouldnt want to transfer to Temple, I mean throwing to Seth, Josh, and Dee all the time I dont see why anybody wouldnt want to throw to 3 great recievers .. and joey skogen will be even better next year running the ball. The down side is you do get hit hard sometimes but for the most part our line did an excellent job pass blocking this year and everyone comes back. I dont think attendance will go up. I dont believe the school (including the univ. and the church) backs us very much. Im not talking about attendance , Im talking about financially. If we had more money to rent a nicer field, well maybe even get our own field... I think that would draw more players...giving us a better team... making more people want to come to the game.
  12. maybe grundy or mcminn central 2
  13. Last year in 1a they picked 23 offense and 19 defense so prob. something around that this year.
  14. Hes a senior. I heard from a source that UTC and Alabama A&M was interested in him. Hes a very good player... very agressive. I played against him a couple of times and that guy knows how to play the game. Congrats to him on Mr. Football lineman.
  15. okay these are just some possibilities in region 3. South Pitt: Antonio Robinson(#6)-WR, Robert? Robinson (#24)-FB/TB, Alan Malone (#54)-LB Lookout Valley: Adam Lucas(#12) - WB/WR, Jake Goins (#22)-FB, Brewer (#74)-DE Whitwell: Ryan McGowen (#21) - FB/LB *(some of their lineman might get it also #52? #73?) Temple: Seth Skogen (#11)- WR, Josh Smith (#44) FB/TE, Kevin Smithson (#12) QB
  16. I didn't hear who won this game on November the 19th. Could someone let me know please who won, how did Unaka look after losing all of those seniors?
  17. Heres a classic for someones first day on the Temple bball team: "I dont know what kind of shots they shoot in Rhea County, but down here at Temple thats a bad shot."
  18. I agree with maveric.. But I think the award is based on a combination of both talent and who you are or the hype you produce. Its hard to win the award without both of those.
