Wow. The last thing the rest of the district needs is middle of the pack teams beating the top two. Makes it harder for the rest of the teams to make headway unless you beat OR and Karns. Good win for powell tho. I thought they might be down this year.

Smokey Mountain Association is definately the worst association in the state and I go to alot of games. Followed very closely by the Knox/Ridge and Knox/South Associations. It is the worst I have ever seen. there lazy, Fat, incompitent, and worst of all arrogant. Like they are too good for HS BBall. And your right, I have already seen 3 games this year where the officials have determined the outcome of the games. I know there are alot of calls and to say they determined the outcome is overstating it a bit, but NO!, they literally determined the outcomes. Too bad for the kids too. Way too many t's being called too!! I mean they miss a call, the fans yell, the players yell, the coaches yell and they cant take it that they blew the calls and they T somebody up! Geez, Its bad, and its the Tssaa fault. They dont go out and watch these BOZOS and see what kind of job their doing, no acountability at all, dont have to answer to anyone, its sad.

Ok, saw the game again. My bad on the timeout thing. I guess on tv it looks like a time out and not a qtr. break. I still think he whines alot throughout the games, but it was not low rent on that play. I also agree he is a good coach but the constant whining kills me. LOL. Sorry to all that straightened me out. I guess its just a pet peeve. LOL

Yea, I like your picks there coolcoach. I think I origanally had CC third and AC fourth but think this may be right. Oak Ridge is strong, Karns is right there with them and may even beat them tonite with all the OR suspensions. After these two its wide open for 3-9 spots. I mean OR beat the 3rd and 4th teams by 30 and 35. So i think its safe to say those two will wrap up the top spots and everybody else better come to play every night if u want to avoid these two early in the district tourny. I think AC and CC will start playing better after the Xmas break. Both with players returning to lineups but they should be able to hold onto 3rd and 4th.

I said I saw the game. Of course I havent got to see it over and over. I could care less about Rians punishment. I am fine with two games or an entire season, doesnt matter to me. I was responding to mooses post that the Ac player shouldve been ejected and I disagrred with that. I stand by my Opinion that Green is a Chump Though. Also we will take our beatings and move on but remember what goes around comes around.

I guess you arent going to respond to the "low rent" tactic of rubbing AC nose it with the timeout and injury to the kid are you? And if you can defend this you are just a blind Wildcat that wants to win at all cost. This couldve started another fight. Great coaches dont do that.

Moose, I saw the game. It was a game that got away from the refs. I also saw the foul on Rian. The AC kid wrapped him up and they fell to ground with the AC player not letting go of Rian until they hit the ground. Then Rian went crazy!!! They called a foul and he shouldve just shot the free throws, no need to eject either player at this point. But when Rian got up and wanted to fight instead of shoot the free throws he should have been ejected, not the other one. And for your so called coach, Hes a CHUMP!!! Has the worst reputation I know of in this area. Refs, coaches, and even alot of his owns fans cant stand his constant WHINING!! I also saw where he tried to rub it in on AC and has lost a kid in Schoffner that was going to have a fantasic year. You dont call timeout and draw up a play for an alleyoop dunk during a blowout!! PERIOD!! As a result he has hurt a nice player because he wanted to send a louder message. This thing had died down but if you want to discuss this on here I think you will find alot of people feel this way about your coach and his players.

Lol. Thats funny. No crush, just not a big fan. There still the best team in the district no doubt, and Spencer would have been Player of the year for sure. Im a big fan of his and hope he can fully recover. I know his family and apparently the doctors said it would have been better if he had broken it instead of the ligament damage. hes tuff and i think he will return before anyone thinks. Well wiggle you got the answer. Ryan was jawing like I said, and when your up big you shouldnt be jawing. His coach shouldve shut him up early and it may have not gotten to this. You saw what Laker said about Green also. Cried the whole game about every call. Just like his Dad so.... Now Laker, I am almost sure it wasnt a technical foul on the jersey grab. Point of emphisis was on this the last year and is considered an Intentional or flagrent foul, Im almost sure of that. It may have looked like a tech. foul from the stands tho. Now the refs, I also have reffed in the knox/ridge association. for years. It is absolutely the worst association in the State. The worst run, most buddy buddy, worst mechanics, worst professional associatio. I have ever seen. We used to go to meetings on Sunday and all these guys wanted to do was talk about teeing coaches and players up. I mean I have actually gotten emails from fellow refs to watch out for this or that coach. Thats awful!!! There really bad this year because some of the good ones got fed up and quit or joined the knox/south association. One ref even sent a link for us all to watch a tech. foul he called that ended up on youtube, Thats crazy.

Wiggle, Your wrong! A team usually takes on the personality of their coach, Usually! And this one does. Green questions and cries about every call and every non- call. In turn his players are always jawing to the refs and fans in the stands. ALWAYS! Green does a good job at winning and thats it. Doesnt matter that he cries the whole game and his kids get tee'd up every night, as long as they win. Also, Oak Ridge has brought this on themselves about the refs. They will never let the game get out of hand as they did against AC. They lost control of that game and this is what happens. Oh. and Hall always being respectful? Cmon Man. He is always pushing and jawing the other players. And you said Green got tee'd for asking how they came up with their decisions? Thats what I mean, he questions everything! I mean once or twice is ok, but every call? Cmon Man. Refs dont have to explain any of their calls to him or any coach, some do as a courtesy, but dont have to. He needs to coach the game and control his kids and let the refs call the games. And before you reply, yes I have seen the film of the AC game and Had friends there. Cmon Man!

Doesnt matter if they brought anyone with them or not. The home school is in charge of security and provides the game administers for each contest. Im sure someone was there from the visiting school but again its not there job to control the fans. Also from what I hear from pretty reliable sources at the game, The refs lost control of the game early!! Its the referee associations job to put their best officials in these type of "rivalry" games and they didnt, Period! Next, the OR coach was trying his best to rub it in on AC. He was up by 27 pts with four minutes left and called a timeout to set up a play to get a kid a dunk! As a result the kid got fouled and tore every ligiment in his ankle and is out 3-5 weeks. And this is a good kid that can and probably will play college ball somewhere and hes out becuase his coach left his starters in a blowout and very tense situation. The OR coach was also Teed up in this game. Thers no excuse for going in the stands period! and I hope the TSSAA stays consistant and suspends him for a year and places OR on some sort of probation.

Yea saw where Central beat AE. Was kinda hoping they where really down this year to give the rest of district a break. I think there 1-5 now. District play starts this week and things will get interesting soon.

Well its early but it looks like Oak Ridge and Karns are seperating themselves from the rest of the pack. Oak is deep with athletes and Karns plays 10 kids with full court pressure the entire game. Looks like the battle will be for 3rd place in this district. Top to bottom this district is better than district 4aaa for sure. With Anderson , Campbell , Hardin Valley , Halls Powell, all battling for the middle, and Central and clinton looking for down year.

New coach at Campbell County High this year. Totally different style than last season. Two kids coulnt play there at AAA school so transfered to A school so they could play. They have one kid from Williamsburg Ky that tranfered in there too. Malicote is good but Lazy kid thats always hurt. I think there 1-3 right now. Dont know about the legalities of transfers, im sure it was checked out. If they all play they should win the district. Better win district cause they will be way down next yr.

Yes, Coach Buck is who I was talking about. His coaching style, his demeanor, his poise, are perfect for high school bball. That team plays with the same poise as the coach. I just enjoy watching them play the game the way its supposed to be played.

Juat read a good article on prep extra about the Knoxville area teams. Looks like we all have it pretty close. They have Oak ridge and Karns in the top ten teams in the area and picked Campbell County as the Sleeper team in the area. Of course competing with West and Bearden will be a chore.

Saw Stone at the Oak ridge play day and they beat Oak Ridge pretty bad. They played just as hard against a much bigger, more physical West team. They lost by 35. Couldnt make an outside shot the whole game. They, in my oppinion are the best coached team Ive seen in high School bball in the last 15 years. They will be there in the end.

Saw some of these teams play at the Oak Ridge play day. Oak ridge Lost to stone memorial and beat Bradley. Karns beat Alcoa by 3 and Walker valley bad, (I think). Both will be strong. Campbell beat McMinn central bad and lost by about 13 to West. This is how I see it breaking down. 1. Oak Rigde 2. Karns 3. Campbell County 4. Hardin Valley 5. Powell 6 Anderson County 7. Halls 8. Central 9. Clinton
