ER has proved the posters to be wrong about improved discipline in the 1st half. Will say though the refs missed one with a ER player throwing and landing a punch on the MC sideline. If MC would have taken advantage of those penalties they should be up by at least a TD. MC has done a relatively good job on defense with the exception of the 1 big play. Wished MC would have saved the trick play for 2nd half, it was there for the taking. Not sure how this one is going to end. Stay tuned folks

08 was a monsoon as well. Came a torrential down pour a couple of hours before the game and the field was a mess. Smith County almost pulled that one out with some home cooking from the refs. That was a slobber knocker from the first snap.

Been the story all year with this particular team. If they show up ready to play they are a tough out but if they don't they can let anybody play with them. Good hard fought game by Westy, tough scrappy team you guys have.

Man you are the life of the party everywhere you go I bet. Not sure why we don't, but I would think along the lines of not enough people will tune in to watch it vs the cost. Also, I'm sure it would take away some of the gate money we would get from the home crowd. Just guesses, I could be completely wrong about it. Appreciate the back handed compliments from the neighbor down the road. That comment made me giggle a little considering who it came from. Marion escapes with a win 21-12. Forrest was their own worst enemy in this game.

Lots of Marion folks have been saying "hold your horses" on about a trip to Chattanooga. Have seen lots of talent be wasted before or not reach their potential. Just because you have talent, doesn't mean sqaut against good teams. Fans of other teams have been beating the drum that this team is Chatt Town bound.

Are you directly involved with the middle school in some form or fashion. Feel like I've been seeing you post more about the middle school team than high school for the last 5 or 6 years. This is not a shot taken at you, it's an honest question

It takes a lot for a sports program to be good, it takes even more for that program to be CONSISTENTLY good has to have the full support of the school administration, great coaches, and great community involvement. Also doesn't hurt to have your little league/middle school in sync with what they will be running in high school. Like somebody mentioned we will be missing some kids, maybe a skill guy but it's TBD. I think this defense is very much improved this year and our offense does what we needs to be done to win games so far. I think MC will win this one by 3 TDs if Forrest has struggled like General and Salem have said.
