Yeah they had the QB that signed with Syracuse. Think he was getting looks from Tennessee at the time. As honk said, FC blew Adamsville out in the ship. I got that wrong, they beat Marion County in the 3rd round. Either way not trying to take away from these teams currently. I think it is better that they have the privates and publics separate now. Was shocked to see Oakland beaten so handedly. The first two games today were as good as advertised

See my response to General but in 09 Marion Counth had to play York, Smith, and Boyd Buchannon to get to Alcoa in the 4th round. In 2012 it was more watered down but had to face a very good Friendship Christian in the 2nd round

The Marion County 15 team was stout, I think either team could have beat the 16 team.

Was a good game but weather and other factors played a role in it unfortunately. 2 really good teams. Congrats to Riverside on the Gold. Tough for ER but you will have a say in who is representing the East in chatt the next couple of years for sure.

What a game that was. Tough break for Oregon. He has a fan in me, I enjoyed watching him play in HS and it's a treat to see him excel at the next level.

The slate of games tomorrow might have the potential to be the best day of games in a very long time. Watching previous Oakland RB James carry the rock tonight for Oregon. I thought he would have crushed it at Geogia but glad to see he is doing well for the ducks.

Well worth the price of admission. Two very good teams. Biggest crowd I've ever seen for a high school game. Congrats to both teams on great seasons.

Like I said earlier this my 2nd most anticipated match up of a good slate of title games I've seen many teams in the past that have a D1 player but they are not necessarily the best player or the most important player to the team. However, I don't think this is the case for Groves. ER goes as he goes. I think ER has been tested with this playoff run and have been able to overcome their own mistakes and some bad officiating along the way. Sometimes though, an experienced physical team can bully a younger talented team. But from what I've seen of ER this year, I would be surprised if they just roll over.

Marion & York didn't play the hardest schedule this year. Marion had a couple of close calls against less talented teams. I think ER could open it up a little more on Offense but their HC has them playing hard and he plays to their strengths. I haven't seen Riverside but it is hard for me to believe that any team in 2A is just head and shoulders better talent wise than ER. How many kids did Riverside return from last year?

I'm a Marion County fan, I know what the "Experts" said, but if you talked to anybody that had watched both teams especially late in the season, ER was hands down the favorite. I might be in the minority on this, but I think ER had the talent advantage against all 3 of those teams with Marion being the closest, but there was a clear gap.

Will be tuning into this one. Creasy has been winning games a long time, and has been very successful at winning games when his team doesn't have the talent advantage. Not saying that is the case here. I know Oakland has talent, but if it comes down to coaching I will bet on Creasy 10 times out of 10. Will be looking forward to this match up, best of luck to both teams.

I honestly don't have a clue. I know it has been said quite a few times here starting from the 2nd round on that they will beat themselves but they have managed to scrape by rounds 2 through 4. You all may be right, I'm not too familiar with Riverside but for me personally, other than the McCallie Baylor rematch, ER vs Riverside will be the must see game.

Man I should have made the trip up to the dragons den. Sounded like the people got their money's worth. I don't like to call a school or program dirty because it could just be a bad batch for a couple of years but When Marion County played York 4 times on 2 seasons there was some dirty plays. In our playoff game a York defender tried to take out out QB by tackling him and blatantly twisting his ankle in clear view. ER has definitely went through the gauntlet this year with on/off field issues, some self inflicted. If they bring home the Gold, they definitely earned it.

The gate for these 3 playing should be massive this year. I think the Baylor vs McCallie rematch might be the biggest crowd that stadium has seen in a while for a high school game

I agree. Think we mostly view things from the same lens but you are the more active poster for sure. Some people can't shake the homer in them to see reality. They want to say you are a negative Nancy when we are winning and they disappear or avoid the subject when we lose. Hopefully some adjustments will be made in the off-season again, hopefully this time on offensive side of the ball. Good season but ultimately fell short.

Been a wild one. ER has made their fair share of mistakes but neither has been able to really capitalize. If so it would be a blow out right now for either team. ER up 14-7. One of our better skill players just went out with an injury. Tough sledding for MC the rest of this game
