  1. If Lake County beats Union City, I wouldn't even show my face on here because of all the trash talking that you do. Union City is liable to get beat twice this week. If we do win, you are going to be the first one I talk to. Best of luck to your boys tonight!
  2. If you would go back and read exactly what I had wrote, you would see that I said I wasn't trying to start something up. I heard this yesterday and I was wondering if it was true or not. I was actually upset to hear about it, because I would rather beat you with all your boys rather than none of them. Victory is so much sweeter that way. I hope they all get to play. I still don't believe it though. We will just see tonight if it's true or not.
  3. I don't know who the other guy was, but I heard it was 4 of Union City's starters. If this is true, it's going to be a long week for Union City, with games against Lake County Tuesday night and at Humboldt Thursday night. I think they also play Gleason Friday night. Who knows, Gleason might pull an upset. You never know! But, I am still kind of leery about it and I will believe it when I see it.
  4. Also, don't forget Humboldt. If this turns out to be true, I think Humboldt will also get the win. Who knows though, we will just have to see tomorrow night.
  5. A friend of mine just talked to Tony Tyler a little bit ago and he said that he talked to Xavier Robinson on the phone and he said it was true. Jay Warlick also said it was true. Xavier said they were suspended the rest of the week and that it wasn't the rest of the regular season. I still am kind of leery about it though. I will believe it when I see it tomorrow night. If it is true though, it will be a long week for Union City. They play us tomorrow night and they play Humboldt Thursday night. Who knows though, it could all be just talk. That is just the latest I have heard.
  6. First of all, let me start out by saying this. Today we heard that some Union City boys have got into some trouble. We heard it was 4 of their starters and one of them was Weddle. Someone said that the 4 of them got on the girls bus the other night after a ballgame and rode home on the girl's bus. That got them suspended for the remainder of the season. I don't know how true it is and what it's all about. I just said this to see if anyone knew anything about it. I am not trying to start something up, but I was just wondering what was going on and why this was said. Anyway, back to the game. I think it will be much closer than it was last time around. UC might win, but I don't think it will be 23 point win. Maybe a 2 or 3 point win. I could be wrong though, they might blow us out of the gym. Our boys have been playing real good here lately though and we did beat a very talented Humboldt. If there is any truth to that rumor, I think LC will win. If not, I'd say it's a toss up. It will be a good one. Best of luck to the Falcons tomorrow night.
  7. Lake County won this game 54-47. It was close the whole time, but LC went on a good run late in the 4th and they had the game won. Tony Tyler finally got his spark tonight. I believe he hit about 6 three's, maybe more. I know he had 4 in the first half. He played wonderful tonight and Channin Geanes also played great. Channin has been playing some really good basketball here lately along with Brandon Springer. I can't forget about Copelin either, he has started the past 2 games and has played exceptionally well. I guess LC has finally started playing ball and they couldn't have picked a better time to come around. LC is now 21-4 with only 1 Tennessee team (Union City) giving them a loss. The other 3 losses they got were in the Marion Ill. tournament. LC travels to Union City Tuesday night in a much anticipated rematch with the Tornadoes. Our boys want it and I think they will give UC a much better game this time around. Union City still might beat us, but I think it will be a better rematch than last time. They might beat us, but we will get them when it counts! I talked to Tony Tyler the other day and he said they are all ready and are looking forward to this game. I sure hope they are ready, beacuse if they aren't, UC will blow us out of the gym! Best of luck to the Falcons and great win tonight!
  8. That sounds good to me! The only thing I would change is I would put Middleton and Temple above Union City. Also I would put Middle College in there as well. They are a team that gets overlooked and I know they will give some top teams fits. I wouldn't be surprised if they knocked off some good teams come tournament time. Other than that, it looks good to me!
  9. What is the latest on Jarrett? Will he be back for the game tomorrow night or is he still out? I hope the best for him and a well recovery.
  10. Halls travels to Lake County Friday night for their second meeting this season. Who do you think gets this district win? Lake County won the last game 56-45 at Halls. Since then, Halls has been playing some really good ball. Union City beat them by 9 at Halls and I also heard that Patrick should have been playing those last few minutes. I don't know what the deal was, but he should have only been taken out for a breather. Humboldt beat them last night by 24 at Humboldt. Maybe Halls just had a bad shooting night. I heard that Halls has improved greatly since the last time we played so it should be a good match up Friday night. I think LC will come out with the win, but it won't be easy. But, it's always hard to beat LC on their floor and also having the rowdy fans and student section backing them up! Best of luck to the Falcons Friday night!!
  11. I was shocked when I saw this on the scoreboard and I really couldn't believe it. I had to check the message boards and when I saw this post, I figured it all out. T-Money is always talking trash about people and especially Lake County. I remember in a LC-Trenton topic for the boys game, he said LC cheated and that's why they won and also the refs cheated for Lake County. The refs NEVER cheat for Lake County, if anything, they call against us. Everyone hates Lake County and believe me, the refs never have and never will call in Lake County's favor. T-Money must be a kid from Trenton, because he is always talking in Trenton's favor and someone needs to report him for posting fake scores. That is wrong and he made everyone believe Trenton had won. Some newspaper editors get scores from here on Coach T and use them. I know sometimes people accidently put the scores backward, but this guy does it intentionally and on purpose. He made me and everyone else believe Gleason had been beaten. Someone needs to say something about this kid.
  12. Didn't Manassas beat them at Middleton? I thought that is what I heard. Any team can win on any given night! Anyone can be beat, even Union City! I know I will get a lot of UC replies on this one bigster!
  13. I couldn't agree with you more and everyone else should agree as well. If they don't, something is wrong. I am definately not taking any credit away from Humboldt, because they have a very talented and athletic team and they are liable to beat us the next time we play. Lake County was just better on that night we played. Anyway, great post and everyone should agree with you!
  14. What is the latest on Jarrett? I know he is terribly missed. I hope the best for him, because he is a great coach and a great person. Is there any hope of him returning for the remainder of the season? Best of luck to him and his Tigers and hopefully a healthy return soon!
  15. Lake County travels to Dresden Friday night for their second road game this week. I know they have improved slightly from last year and we beat them this year at LC. I heard they have improved some since the last time that we played, but I don't know how true that is. I also heard they gave Westview a pretty good game. How is Westview, are they any good this year? Anyway, I think Lake County comes out on top in this one. You never know though, because Gleason was giving us fits Tuesday night. Whitby also didn't play his starters that game either. He played them for a little bit. He started Wallace and Tyler and took them out about mid way through the first and they never stepped foot back on the floor. Also, Brandon Springer never got in the game. If it weren't for Channin Geanes, LC would have probably lost that game. He played great and got game honors! So, you never know what will happen and what Whitby has up his sleeve. He might even start 5 cheerleaders, who knows? You never know what your going to get when the boy's game starts!! Anyway, best of luck to the Falcons tomorrow night and also on Saturday night when the Falcons travel to Armorel!!
  16. I didn't know any of the enrollment numbers for any of the schools. I just remember reading it earlier in the year by another poster. I went back and looked at the history of my posts and saw it. I didn't know how accurate it was, I was just going by what that guy said. This was a very good post also!
  17. Fulton Countyt travels to Lake County Saturday night in what should be another exciting game. Lake County got a big district win tonight against Humboldt and that helped boost their spirits a lot. I have some friends in Hickman and I talked to them today and they said that Fulton County has improved a lot since the last time we played them. I know in the past that Fulton always gave LC fits and beat us most of the time. They beat us both times last year. LC got the hard part over by beating them on their court this year, so they have to come and play us at home and it's always hard for people to beat us at home. I'm not saying it can't be done, but LC is always hard to beat at home. I think it will be a close game and should go to the very end. I know that in the Christmas tournament this year that Middleton only beat Fulton by 4. I believe that was right. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I think that is right. Sounds like to me that Fulton has improved a lot to keep within that close to the defending state champs. It should be a good one tomorrow night, but I think LC will pull out with the win. Best of luck to the Falcons!!
  18. That is right Bigster, Union City is unstoppable and no one in the district can beat them. They are just that good!!
  19. I was going to reply to this, but Bigster said it all. But I will reply to one thing that you said. I am not putting out any falsehood whatsoever. I'm just stating the facts from what I read in someone else's post earlier in the year that seemed very factual to me. Here is what he said and what his facts said just to refresh your memory a little bit in case you missed his post. Browniemagee was the poster who posted it. Town Population/School Enrollment Greenfield 2133 (161) Bradford 1113 (176) Gleason 1452 (207) Lake County 2439 (224) South Fulton 2800 (288) Halls 2291 (361) Dresden 2755 (384) Trenton 4700 (428) Union City 10,800 (442) Humboldt 9339 (534) Now that right there is what I call facts, not falsehood or something being said in coffee shops or ballgames like you said. The guy got them from TSSAA and some kind of population website. Why would he lie about it or make it up? I believe he was just stating the facts. Now you and everyone else can read it and tell me who doesn't belong in that picture. That is just common sense for anyone and you can say we are whining or whatever you like, but we are just stating the facts!!
  20. Ok, that was my fault. I thought it was the Trenton-Humboldt game. Yeah I have to admit that was very unsportsmanlike on their part. He could have really injured Rose and that would hurt Humboldt bad if they lost him, because he is a great player and would be missed terribly. Was it the Bradford-Humboldt fans fussing between each other or someone else?
  21. Lake County pretty much led the whole ballgame. The starters were Tony Tyler, Brandon Springer, Channin Geanes, Jay Warlick, and Tremayne Abbott. Abbott was the only difference in the line-up. He played pretty decent and then Whitby started subbing in Wallace, Copelin, and Valentine. Everyone played great tonight and the free-throw shooting was ok. It could have been better, but I am not complaining about it because we hit more than we usually do. Tony didn't do to well again. He hit a few shots and he brought the ball up the floor and handled it very well. Everyone else had a pretty decent shooting night. Channin played really good tonight as well as Copelin did. Kevin is just a great athlete and should be starting every game and not taken out except for a breather. I noticed something else too that LC actually rebounded the ball tonight. I have said since the got back from Ill. that they have been playing a lot better ball. I hope it stays that way for the rest of the year. Best of luck to the Falcons tomorrow night against Fulton County!!
  22. Another thing I forgot to mention in my last post. What happened the other night during the Humboldt-Trenton game? I heard there was fighting going on during the game. I heard about it and wanted to know what went on. See, everyone talks bad about Lake County all the time and how bad we are, but this happens outside of Lake County as well. I remember last year when all that crap happened at LC during the district tourneys, the coach t message boards were on fire talking about the brawl. That was the main talk on here. It was Lake County this and Lake County that and Lake County is awful and how bad a place LC is. Everyone remembers it and how bad LC was talked about. It's just funny when it happens at your place or it's your team, that no one has even said a word about it or I haven't read it yet.
  23. Well you know it as well as I do and the rest of the people in the district that they don't belong in 1A. Everyone else will agree with me, with the exception of you and the rest of the Union City people. Teams with over 500 kids in school don't need to be playing schools that have 150 in school. That is just common sense to anyone. They are beating 1A teams every night. Union City is way over the students to be in 1A. I heard someone say the other night at our ballgame that UC was about 75 over the limit. They must be getting several new students everyday! And no one complained about the size after UC beat us. They were just better than we were that night and LC shot poorly and didn't play well. No one was complaining at all. LC gave UC props to their team and how good they were. I guess you just assumed that we automatically complain about it when they beat us. I think it will be a different outcome the next time we play. I might be wrong, but I don't think they will beat us like they did when we first played.
  24. Humboldt travels to Lake County Friday night in what should be a big district showdown! I know Humboldt has a very talented squad, but so does Lake County as well. This should be a very exciting game and I know it's going to be wild and rowdy in that gym. Who all does Humboldt have this year? I know they have the big Sain kid, but who else does Humboldt have? I know that Trenton beat Humboldt in the Christmas tournament and we beat Trenton by about 15 points or so. That doesn't mean anything at all though. It just depends on how we play that night and it seems like to me that Lake County is finally coming back together. I think that the loss of Papa has made them stronger. You could tell that it affected them at first, but how could it not. Tony Tyler has been playing so much better and Andrew Wallace, Channin Geanes, Brandon Springer, and Kevin Copelin have been playing some really good basketball here lately. By the way, the rumors about Copelin are false. I talked to him at the South Fulton game Tuesday night and he said he wasn't going to Dyersburg and the thought never crossed his mind. That is very good, because LC needs him and he's our only big man. Anyway, I hope everything just keeps going the way it has been. So, who do you think gets this win? I believe it will be close the whole time, but I think Lake County comes out with the win. LC has a tough crowd backing them up and it's hard to beat LC at their place with the crowd behind them the whole game. Best of luck to the Falcons Friday night!
  25. Well that is just great. I really can't blame the kid though. Maybe he will actually get some playing time over there. He is definately a great player and should get recognized for his talent. This is just crazy. This team is just falling apart. I guess LC will just have to do with what they have, but lacking a post player is not too good and won't help Lake County any. If Kevin is gone and Tony Tyler keeps playing like he has been, it's going to be a long second half of the season and any hope of actually making it somewhere this year doesn't look too good right now. Hopefully things will all come back together soon enough.
