  1. Best of luck to Coach Tim Taylor, ( and I assume Coach D. Stewart), and the rest of Stewart Co. football. An old friend, and an excellent coach, hope you do well on this gig.
  2. Coach Atkins has re-located to Dumas, Arkansas where he is Off. Co-ordinator, and Off. line coach. Coach B. Winston is at Hickman Co. High in Centerville where he is LB, TE, and Special Team Co-ordinator, as well as Director of ISS studies.
  3. Not going to Stewart Co. Talked to Mr. Craig when job first came open again, only in an "are you interested type conversation", and that's as far as it went. Happy with situation that has come along for me with Coach Rewis at Hickman County. Best of luck to Stewart, Mr. Craig, and whoever lands this position, it could be a good one.
  4. This was a done deal. Think they might have wanted this guy, and all of a sudden all these things pop up that have not occured in the 7 - 10 yrs. before. Think the previous staff sort of got the staff ( you know where).
  5. Does anyone have schedule or know list of teams in 7 on 7 competition at UT-Martin on Saturday the 14th. I know Hickman Co. will be there and Liberty the defending champ, just wondering who else?
  6. a bunch of hard-working, blue-collar kids at Hickman County High - veteran coach Bob Winston, and former Springfield head coach Kelly Myers have joined Coach Tommy Rewis staff - everyone optimistic about the possibilities at HC this season - hoping for the best in a very difficult region and schedule
  7. All doesn't eliminate the fact that OC head coach is a prick!
  8. A great individual, will be missed badly. Remember my short stint in coaching track at FHS, he would always have something good to say before we went out to practice. Remember the spring I helped Coach Clayton, before I went to Coffee, Coach Gamble and I talked frequently about old times, good times, and he always had a good story to tell about being around football. My regards and sympathy. Coach Bob 1.
  9. Coached with all these guys, Bennett, Palmer, Rathbone, Gilbeaugh, all great football coaches, but better yet good people. Can't say enough about how glad I am the Bone finally got his chance. It is well deserved, and I truly hope the administration will change somewhat to see that he is successful. Best wishes Coach Rathbone and the Page football family.
  10. Michael Hart from Gibson County - you are getting a good one. I have worked with him in PE for the past 2 yrs. and watched his work with his team, and in 29 yrs. in high school sports, I believe he ranks right up there with the best in Tenn.
  11. Word that I got, is, they are moving John Offit from Northwest to West Creek as Head Coach, and Lee Atkins is going to be the OC. Just wondering what is this move for, and who gets the NW job?
  12. AMEN ,brother - and didn't even get a kiss !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. gibson county, trenton/dyer,tenn. - worse program
  14. Just a question, why so many posters from Wayne Co. and why do you have so much interest in the Mt.Pleasant situation? Do you feel threatened by who might arrive at Mt. Pleasant, and that they will be contendors of yours. Just curious???
  15. rhs013 you are the pathetic one, hiding behind these posts. Why don't you meet me anywhere, anytime, and then we'll see if you are a coward or not. I'm not kidding, I don't want to see anymore BS about me from you, or I will hunt you down, there is such a thing as slander, keep in mind.
  16. Two words for you, RHS013, the first begins with F, and the second begins with Y.
  17. I have an ordinate amount of interest in this position and have expressed it to the AD and Principal, believe I have paid my dues and deserve a chance to come back. If hard work and dedication to your administration, community, and Head Coaches ( especially where I've been the past 5 yrs.) is any indication, then certainly there is hope to get in the right situation.
  18. Still have keen interest in this job. I would also consider an asst. job if HC doesn't exactly work out - any news from anyone who knows - I have sent them my information, and have received a confirmation of such. Keeping fingers crossed.
  19. I would be interested in this job. I currently am in the same situation that Coach Bragg was in. I teach/coach in W. Tenn. at Gibson Co. High and have been there for 2 years. I live in Dickson and come to W.Tenn. on Sundays during football season and currently on Monday mornings. I have an apt. in Humboldt during the week and go home on Fridays (Fri. afternoon or Thur. afternoon). I have 20 + years of coaching/teaching experience with 8 of that being as Head Football Coach. I have worked in some really good programs (ie. Marion Co.-2 state championships, Watertown, Mt. Pleasant, Franklin Page and Franklin High, Coffee Co., Franklin Co.), with some really good coaches (ie. Bill Price, Craig Clayton, Jackie Bennett, Alvin Palmer, Ken Colquitt, Ronnie Dugger, and others). Cunningham, Tenn. is only 20 or so miles from my house, and I would really welcome the opportunity to get back closer to home. Guess all I need to do now is get this message to the proper people at Montgomery Co. Central. Would welcome the chance to talk about it. Coach BW
