Mo.West is a good football team...but Maryville has a knack for making good football teams look bad. Don't know how the game will work out...im going to pull for West but predict they loose by a few.

Yes, I have played both teams and here is what it really breaks down to: South- Great bunch of guys (despite jhite's posts), prob the cleanest team we have played. Some very talented individuals, a good football team, very strong defense. South has a strong offense in Phillips but they lack size up front, that is the thing I remember most about South, they average around 230lbs on the line of scrimmage. They are fast/athletic though, but I have def. had rougher games up front then I did against South. When I mention rougher games, Im referring to teams like M.West. Wow, some tremendous size/strength up front that is getting serious D1 looks and will prob demolish about any front they face this year Two very strong teams offensivly, but I do recall West seeming to lack a little on defense. Sky did have a big night against them and South, well South held us in check. South's defense wins this comparison. So why do I say West wins by a margin?-South (my opionon) is strong offensivly and has a better defense, but West's offense is that much stronger. They can pass the ball and they host two hoss running backs that will be South's demise. Yes I realize South had it in our redzone numerous times without scoring...but if you recall they got the ball in their territory from our shanked punts half the game anyway. Stop Phillips, and South falls simpily because their back is a hard runner, nothing flashy, and doesn't compare to the backs that Morristown boasts. Could turn out to be a game though, depends on who comes ready to play.

Jhite as far as cheap shots, I have no clue what your talking about, you really make some of the dumbest post I have ever read. Hoping for a good game friday, it will be one of the few HS games I get to watch and not play in. But as much as I hope to see a good, close game-I don't see it happening. South-14 West-35

South looses by a convincing margin if West comes ready to play. If not, West will still be able to squeeze by. Good season South, but I believe the Trojans are a bit to much for ya.

So I guess they run around floating in air or? Last time I checked, regardless of how short someone is, their feet are still on the ground...Don't worry about it jhite they start teaching this stuff in about second grade so not too much longer before you can make a half decent post.

I think halftime score was 7-14 Boone, but don't quote me on it. I do know Boone was ahead at half and offense never really had trouble moving the ball. Second half Boone gave up some big runs that really got them , and tried throwing some. Conditions were wet and throwing was near impossible, and in wet weather the heavy men usually win (anyone that has seen boone knows that they depend on speed up front, def. not size) But im not making excuses or blaming it on the weather, West has a good football team that I am hoping to get another shot at.

Dude Central has never stopped Sky, what game are you referring to?

Not even going to predict, too much on the line to risk jinxing a game by going into it with a prediction of what the outcome will be.

And then you have little children that come to the boards to cry about how they can't get into playoffs, and try to bring down everyone else. Listen kid im sorry but Sky Hicks is indeed a great back, and it takes more then some whiner from central saying he's not anything special to convince that majority. As for South, South is a good football team but don't think we are going to back down to them. LOL at the "central hold him every year" quote, your a funny guy. Is this jealousy??

This was who both teams wanted to face in the playoffs, and what a game it was. Tons of respect to Betsy, they fought until the end. We didn't look past them one bit, we knew we would be in for a fight. As for next week, we have to work on some things that really almost cost us this game. Key turnovers (fumbled twice in a row late in fourth quarter, 14 points up in Betsy territory) really put the game on the line. To beat South at rebel hill we are going to have to play to our potential, and I have all the faith in the world that Coach Jenkins will have us ready. Good game Betsy, and keep on rolling Boone-

I and my team mates aren't ones to complain but come on...like Rodney Dangerfield (please excuse my spelling if it is wrong) "we get no respect" i thought we might have proved ourselves this year but I guess we will have to try again on Friday to gain some respect.

This will be a very interesting game. It's really hard to say how south is, havn't played them I know our head coach came from the coaching staff over there and they really ask alot out of the boys. I remember from spring scrimmage that the QB was very good and the running back was also decent. On the other hand east has a very fast running back and the QB is the best I have played against. Pretty good secondary but small up front, and that is what is going to end up hurting them. Could go either way, but ima go ahead and call an "upset" by 14

I'm sorry if for some reason you think Boone doesn't respect you, your only 24-0 against us, I don't know what it would take to earn respect if you don't have it now. I guess it's misunderstood, alot of us are fired up about this game and I guess people can say these things when they are so ready to proove themselves. Plus read your quote from first page (im too lazy to quote) something like you know sky well from the past - I thought it was a snyde remark meaning yes in the past we have beat the blazers and hicks np, but there are several approaches you can take while reading that statement, not sure how you meant it but thats what really sparked the "smack" With that said, GL friday, I think we are in for a good game. Pratt wears#80 and is great addition to boone, glad we have 'em.
