  1. Key players just out of football, besides Jesse Smithey has them ranked in his top 10, there is no way the Knoxville Hoops guru can be wrong. Jesse Smithey is wrong more than right season after season.
  2. DeMarcus Martin - Farragut Hunter Hopson - Gibbs Justin Jenkins - Webb Sam Greene - Bearden Chris Cox - Catholic
  3. [ Hopson and another new comer to the Irish are out due to concussions.
  4. Leaves KTown because CPA recruited him most likely. Question is how does Sr move into a $400,000 home on a less than poverty pay as a TA? Why does Sr not teach a class? Why TA? Obviously Jr wasn't kicked out then he would not be playing with Indy under TSSAA rules. The Wharton talk gets old but perhaps this will be the last school Jr will attend. Could not be playing with a hit like he took in that scrimmage he is smaller than most good thing he can run fast but what a hit. That family is like a soap opera full of drama, betrayl, lies, and deceit. And that is what makes the board entertaining at its best. Brentwood looks okay this year.
  5. The kid will not be back at CPA remember Coach Wharton is no longer employed at CPA let go under mysterious circumstances. CPA will be just fine with out Coach Wharton or the kid. The kid will pop up at another high school his junior year and probably pop up at another one his senior year. Then if the kid is lucky to stay out of trouble he will sign with a college to play football and slowly in time fade into the shadow of some other standout athlete. I vote he ends up at Independence and ironically "eligible" or daddy o gets some other "convenient" job at another private school and drags his little ducklings in a row behind him to yet another "high school". Sure is alot for a teenager to be dragged from school to school. CPA sports will be just fine and they will keep pounding other schools with their recruits. Real talk its not the kids fault he only has the choice to do what his parents say.
  6. We "HEAR" alot but it basically comes down to TSSAA rules its where he lives that factors where he attends. If Coach Wharton is no longer employed at CPA (and he is not) the kid will either have to ATTEND the school of which he is currently living is zoned for, MOVE to the zone of the school he wishes to attend, or one of his "parents" will have to be "employed" at the school! Since its so public about the departure of the Wharton's from CPA which ever district the kid ends up playing in the coaches of that district will make sure they (Whartons and lucky high school) are following TSSAA rules this time around. If unemployed parent I don't believe private school will be an option. It is sad for the children being uprooted from school to school because of the father changing jobs all the time or it could be schools using the father to get the kids at their school. Alot of talk they will return to East TN. Only time will tell. If all of a sudden the kids attend a school their not zoned for or their parents are not employed at. Watch out for educational guardianship play into effect then I consider that cheating.
  7. Back to topic: Where is Vic Wharton attending high school at? Is he eligible to play football and basketball? and is Coach Wharton employed at CPA? Nobody cares what he did to not be at CPA but we all care to know - is Wharton eligible to walk right into another high school and play on the varsity level?
  8. TSSAA eligiblty The student is attending school where the student's parent works as a full-time employee, that parent takes a full-time job at a different school, and the student transfers to the school where the parent takes the new job. The transfer must take place when the parent takes the job or, if the job change occurs during the school year, the transfer must be made at the beginning of the following school year; What if the parent is no longer working at the school that is not in their district would that not immediately deem them eligible for the high school district they are zoned for? I would think it would.
  9. Although much is probably true this is a 17 year old child being talked about. Yeah the kids been in multiple schools but its his old mans fault not the kid. His old man job hops and the kid and siblings pay the price. If the old man and the boy can't come back to CPA what about the sisters? Where are they going? or is this just all rumors because the kid is a talented athlethe? This can change everything from a college recruiter stand point if a code of honor was violated. I met the family when they first came to Nashville and nobody seemed happy to be here but the old man. Maybe they should of stayed in Knoxville where they were happy. Sad part is the kid is talented and could go very far in an athletic career but just a kid making bad choices in life learning from not such good influences. Last I knew they moved to the Harpeth area so maybe attending public school. Is the kid practicing football and basketball with any school?? CPA perhaps! Is the old man still employed at CPA?
  10. Yes they probably are more superior.
  11. Wharton was "brought down" - your brought down when you don't seek employment - your brought down when you get a call hey man we got a job opening are you interested. But we all play along with that fact you posted for you know "fun".
  12. TRUE TRUE TRUE Very well written and very accurate all the way down to let us employ the parent to get their athletic kid.
  13. CPA is a fine upstanding school but I mean really they dig for people. Everybody knows that new kid Vic Wharton (not a Nashville local) old man was "approached" for employment at CPA. I mean what better way to get a outstanding athlete in your program hire the parent! It is the best way to slide an athlete into a private school program. I would bet there are other parent/athletes on staff at CPA, All private schools do it. Even my kid has been approached by a Nashville private school but I don't have that kind of money nor was I interested in being an "assistant coach" to help cut tuition. It is still recruiting just using the parent as a puppet. Stack the team that is the CPA way. So chime off its recruiting anyway you look at it even though guidelines are being followed there is a way around it we all know that. Some (CPA) fans just have a hard time believing that. As far as the ineligible student if TSSAA sent a letter stating eligbile then sent another one stating not eligible NO CPA should not be punished for TSSAA error. Hang on to that letter CPA staff.
  14. Perhaps turn out of events in football and basketball would be different between Lipscomb and CPA if CPA would stop recruiting. At least Lipscomb is straight.
