  1. I scanned your novel in hopes that you were going to introduce some facts. Nothing...hey wait a minute. Here is something. You said that the financial disclosure forms are sent to Princeton, NJ and took the time to correct me about New England - thanks. I wasn't really sure, which is why I said New England area (should have said, Northeast - my bad). I am not as handy with Wikipedia as you are. Hey, wait a minute. I guess you aren't sure either. The BA website says Pittsburgh, PA. Darned, I thought you introduced an honest to goodness fact. http://www.brentwoodacademy.com/page.cfm?p=23 Just messing with you.
  2. I have just as much knowledge about financial aid recipients at BA as I do MBA. I don't think you know either. I think you are assuming and that is perfectly fine for a message board. Giving your opinion or assumptions is all part of the Coach-T experience. One thing I do know for sure, however. Neither MBA or BA give "scholarships" to anyone. They give need based financial aid. BA uses a firm in the New England area that determines eligibility and it is 100% determined by the families ability to pay. This firm does not know anything other than the finances of the prospective student's family. They do not know race, athletic ability, big, small, fast or slow - just the numbers. This is not my opinion. I know this to be true.
  3. BA has just over 200 boys in the high school and does not give out anywhere close to the financial aid as McCallie, Baylor or MBA (bigger, older schools with huge endowments and large alumni base). They could not afford to do it. The tuition is less, but still 15K. I think the enrollment is what Itzme is speaking of in the depth department. I will agree that BA has helped develop their share of D1 athletes.
  4. BA scrimmaged Dickson County. Both teams stayed pretty basic. No score really kept, but BA was pretty clearly in control.
  5. One of the finest individuals that I have ever met. MBA hit a homerun with this hire.
  6. I haven't been this positive that BA would win the state championship since 2002.
  7. Offer from Oregon came through yesterday. Like Bullard, he is an excellent student. I understand he is leaning Vandy or GA Tech. It is still up in the air, however.
  8. If MBA provides BA the opportunity, I will be even more impressed the Big Red's coaching staff than I was last year. They lost a bunch of starters.
  9. It looked like that was going to happen. But, in the end Jarod's grandfather did not want to move and the family did not want to leave him.
  10. That brings back some memories. Thanks for sharing.
  11. I did not see that part of the film (after the game). However, #74 did not get up and it seemed pretty clear that his injury resulted from that play. He stayed on the ground during the film that I saw and Alex left the area. Moreover, I can't imagine why Alex Bullard could have wanted or needed anymore satisfaction. If you see the film, you will understand.
  12. I hope someone other than myself has seen the film. If they have, they know that either vols98 is "mistaken" or the film is mistaken. The film shows #72 Alex Bullard knocking #74 from MBA partialy to the ground in a pancake style block. When #74 tried to get up he knocked him viciously and maybe unnecessarily, but cleanly, back to the ground. There was no penalty called and there should not have been. One thing for sure there was no stomping or kicking or anything resembling that. It was a vicious block delivered by a very good and I bet frustrated lineman, who will be one of the top recruits in the state next year. I certainly hope #74 is ok. I know the championship had to take some of the sting out the pain.
  13. I hate to have to agree with that. We played just like we did during the first meeting and you guys cranked it up a notch. It could have easily been worse.
  14. Normally people start all of the "recruit" talk after getting beat. I think you must have a bad feeling about the game and you are not being totally honest with us. Just a theory.
  15. I can go along with many of your points. However, our QB is better than he was when we played last. He missed a couple of wide open receivers with no pressure against MBA and many other teams on a consistent basis up until the last 3 weeks. He has stopped looking "freaked out" and has started looking confident. Now, at MTSU in the State Title game his improvements may be nullified by the tension. Also, I don't blame you for having the opinion that you have about our secondary. You are partially correct. It is tough to judge them on the MBA game. You guys execute the short to medium passes/patterns so well, it can make a secondary look that way.
  16. Well said. This game is a great, great match up and is in my opinion a straight "pick-em". I was really hoping for an "orientation period" for Coach McGuigin. No more than 5-7 years, but it was not to be. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  17. I am with fan6 on this one. This will be a tough game for BA. I think that Ensworth wears down a little toward the end and BA pulls away 21-10, but the game seems closer than the score. A lot will be determined by Ensworth's ability to convert through the air. If the QB has time and he hits his receivers, this could be closer. I don't think they can win on the ground - I don't care how well things went against CBHS.
  18. I assure you, that if BA is fortunate enough to play and win the state title, they will not care to even think about taking your first victory away. I know that after losing to McCallie last year, during the season, it made the state championship that much more sweet. There is no doubt it was the same for you guys in 2002 and 2003. By the way "Laughing out Load" sounds like it would be rough on your internal organs. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  19. MBA, BGA, BA, Brentwood Middle (formerly Northside), Ensworth, CPA, Woodland, Harding Academy, University School, Donelson Christian, Grassland, FRA and Page (all depending on season). This was the line-up over the past several years.
  20. That is exactly right. Good pick up. The HVAC has been alive and flourishing until this year. The increasing number of Williamson County Middle Schools have forced many of the teams to join the county league. Most did not want to leave, but were given no choice. The HVAC is down to 6 or 7 now.
  21. It did and it was not discrete.
  22. I agree that the teams are petty close to even with the exception of the kicker. The difference is that MBA came out, played well and executed. Same as they did against Ryan.
  23. Good point - you would not hesitate to "ask". I am going to tell you what, I bet, your Dad tells you all of the time. No, not, "clean your room". Here it is: "Look it up!!".
  24. I see that you are new to the board. I would suggest that if you are going to ask an open question to everyone on just about every post, you shouldn't be insulting when it is answered.
