  1. What has Aydelott done to scare talent away?
  2. Well things have changed, yesterday he looked safe but now things have shaken up. Could Coach Jefferson land a job with the new coach?
  3. Any word on the coaching search?
  4. inconsistently is part of a first year program. But this team is going to be great in a few years.
  5. Stewarts Creek is highly underrated. Beat Indy, ran Ravenwood off the court and was competitive with Station Camp. Imagine how good they can be in a few years when the program has more experience.
  6. would this be a relative or father of indy's Vic Wharton III?
  7. C'MON!! 29 topic views. Post something! Not one of you did! This is coacht! Rip me! I'm being harsh! Criticize me! Let's get some wilco basketball talk going!
  8. Could be an interesting year with great parity like in football but how does the basketball version go down? Why are sports in wilco always balanced?
  9. do teams get a five yard flag for asking god to end open zoning in Blount County lol
  10. when will we be able to add football games for next season, as we are still in the scheduling contract period and next tears opponents will still be the same.
  11. so in other words, their dynasty will last at least another 3-4 years?
  12. I made a bogus prediction about Blackman beating maryville. I was completely wrong. Many people were telling me I was wrong and now I realize how wrong I was. So I'm wondering how the freshmen and or JV teams out there are doing, I know many of you don't follow JV ball but I am wondering when or if this dynasty will end in the near future. Hats off to the rebels. I would have to pick them winning next Saturday.
  13. Rivalries should be fun. Chs Franklin and Ravenwood Brentwood are the best right now but watch out for summit-Indy in two or three years. Based on their current freshmen teams there could be some heat in that game. I know freshmen can change a lot in the future but still something to look after.
  14. I like Blackman because they are far more tested and have nothing to lose. Maryville has not been in a close game and if it comes down to that they are not prepared.
  15. About a 2 hour drive from these schools a debate is settled on who was a better coach at Brentwood? Hopefully not, these coaches are both great. But still something to think about.
  16. Tough playoff loss for Ravenwood last night, hats off to Blackman and good luck to them for the rest of their run. A great season for the raptors, but like all teams who have a season end this way, many of the seinors were devastated that their football lives that started around age 4 and 5 were now over forever. It's a shame but they now must move on with life, however I think there is a way for many teams and their players to end their run on a high note. That solution lies in a postseason format that nobody has thought of, but I believe is the best. So how does it work? For public schools, we divide each school into one of five classifications, with each class having 8 districts, sort of like the old playoff system. Here's the twist, only the district champions make it to the playoffs. Teams that finish 2nd through 5th play a bowl game with a chance to end their seasons with a win. 2nd place teams play 5th place teams in another district, and 3rd place teams play 4th place teams. So how do the playoffs work that the champions make it to? Each of the 8 district winners are randomly drawn into two 4-team groups where those four teams play a round robin. That takes 3 weeks. The top two teams in each group make the semi-finals with the winners playing for a gold ball. But the money driven tssaa would not like going back to only five classes. Many people do not like that. Many people also do not like that non financial aid private schools can compete with public schools. So my idea is that the 6a class is replaced by what I would call division 3, a division exclusively for non financial aid private schools. There are enough schools like that for about 4 districts. Most of those schools are on the smaller side so one classification is all that is nessasary. Just like the public schools, only the district champs make the playoffs, only 4 districts so the qualifiers go right to the semi-finals. Also like the public schools 2nd place plays 5th place in another district in a bowl and 4th plays 3rd in a bowl. For division 2, the privates that recruit, single A works just like division 3 would. Both would have 4 districts so the format could be the same. For division II-AA, three teams make the playoffs, those teams would be the the champion and runner-up from East/Middle reigion and the champion from the West reigion. The best of those three teams gets a bye to the championship and would play the winner from the other two teams. Only allowing two teams from East/Middle could add more meaning to the already heated Ensworth-Brentwood Acadamy-MBA trivially. Whoever finishes 3rd in East/Middle will go to a bowl game and play the 3rd place team in the West. The other bowl game would feature the 4th place team in East/Middle and the West runner-up. So that is what I think is the best postseason format. What about you? What small tweeks would you make. Would you scap the whole thing? Do you like it the way it is without any changes. Tell me what you think. I want to hear your opinion.
  17. Indy's secondary makes them a better team than Overton but secondaries stop passes not the run. Overton is a running team and therefore Overton wins 35-27.
  18. Both teams look good. What do you think?
