Stone won Monday,Friday, Wednesday, and got a Save Thursday in the State tournament. I wasn't knocking Columbia at all. And before you say when Slatton's going to go you may want to research it a llittle bit.

I totally agree. When two of the best arms in the state are competing it shouldn't be a one and done game, unless it's a state championship. At least a series? Last year Columbia rode Stone's right arm all the way to Murfreesboro. Slatton didn't even hardly throw and he's a projected 3rd rounder. Teams don't even try to win the district tournament anymore , knowing you just have to finish 2nd. The Ace will throw opening night and the losers bracket final.

The Columbia/Riverdale game was almost identical to the game last year. Only this time Riverdale pushed the run across. Hayden Stone and Jonathon King were lights out tonight. Both teams only combined for 5 hits and 1 extra-base hit. There were 20 strikeouts combined as well.

Lions make a huge comeback. Stone shoved the last 5 innings.

It was a great game. The only difference was Justus Sheffield threw 7 great innings and Hayden Stone only threw 6. Both pitchers reached double digits in the strikeout category. Congrats to both teams. They should meet again in the tournament.

Columbia/Lawrence game cancelled today. They are going to try to get the game in tomorrow but the odds are unlikely.

Hayden Stone, a right handed pitcher from Columbia, was 1 out shy of a perfect game. Giving up a single with 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th.

Tully has only beaten Columbia once in the past 2 years. The games are always close so it should be a good series and district tournament.

I finally saw the Stone kid throw in the summer. He was electric. One of the best I've seen at making hitters look bad. I heard he was going to be a Vol too!
