  2. Below is link to all prepextra team
  3. Thanks soxfan...looks like all prepextra team got it right. See todays knox sentinel for their awards. Cant argue much with that. Great group of players from all classes.
  4. Agree.. overalll AAA competition better..however aa has individuals that are being scouted by major leagues and could compete well in AAA. But i also look at some of your past threads and no i am responding to someone that likes to ruffle feathers so i am laughing inside as i type. As for my credentials...i am a current major league scout for east tennessee. I just dont like politics.
  5. This is a joke...you have pitchers from CAK lead their team to state in Keck and Pardue not make it. Troutt who was district pitcher of year in that same district (who beat cak twice). None gets in but 3 Farragut pitchers out of 8 make it? Not saying that one of them is probably deserving but Looks like more home cooking. Weldon..district mvp also missing.
  6. Saw Greenback in a couple of team camps. Looks like a step back. Not impressed with new coach.
  7. What is not being told is that the incident of verbal assault in the parking lot actually was started in gym by the Ehs fans unhappy about the technicals. As they were in the gym and leaving ..they started it. Poor examples for the parents. They deserved what they got in the parking lot. Officiating was not any worse than elizabethans own Christmas tourney last year. Its bad all over..especially in summer. But as coaches and as parents you have to show discipline as that is part of it.
  8. Also..I meant to add I have seen some other very good "high school pitchers." Hardin Valley and Heritage have some quality starters, however this list is for those that are " next level".
  9. Based on games I have seen this year, here is a list of some of the best pitching performances against quality teams. East Tennessee is loaded with outstanding arms. ( I know I am leaving out some, but this is based on opinion and actually being at the games): Drake Owenby Powell Tyler Troutt- Alcoa Taylor Durand- AC Phillip Pardue- CAK Wil Crowe- Pigeon Forge Painter- Halls Clifton- Heritage Dalton Curtis- Maryville Unfortunately have not seen Farragut pitchers this year. Who would be your all-east tn list that you saw play?
  10. Great district tourney final last night at CAK. First game when 10 innings before Alcoa won to force game 2. A lot of heart shown by both teams. Unbelievable stamina and determination by Alcoa pitchers Waters and Troutt pitching many innings with very few days rest. Pardue of CAK also pitching on limited rest threw a great game in the last one. Congrats to both teams! Awards: Aaron Fieldon -Kingston. MVP Chaz Vesser- Alcoa- Offensive Player of Year Tylet Troutt- Alcoa- Pitcher of Year Malik Love- Newcomer Some player from Loudon got defensive player of year if any one can help me out.
  11. Curtis who can hit upper 80's is tough to beat and in my opinion the most dominant in county. Tyler Troutt who I hear was clocked at 86-87 the other night has great control and movement. He is next on my list and brings it from the left side. Clifton who throws in 90's is my number 3. He can definitely bring it but struggles with control. Speed doesnt make you the best but if he can find control consistently...watch out. Congrats to these 3 for great years!
  12. Gutsy performance by both pitchers from Stone and Alcoa last. After a 3 hr..11 inning game, and both pitchers throwing over 150 pitches, Alcoa won on a walkoff double. Troutt of Alcoa went 6 for 6 from the plate and struck out 14 in 10 innings work. Both play today at Stone.
  13. Clifton is the jr at Heritage. I think he can be special if he finds consistent control. I saw him twice this yr and he doesnt throw as hard as they say in a game. However he is very good hs pitcher for his age. With control and more weight on his frame...who knows.
  14. Also glad to see Daulton Curtis back on mound after injury.
  15. Got to see many teams and games at this weeks bc tourney. I have to say Morristown's Andrew Lee is the real deal. Other insights from this weekend: Hunter Saunders,Chaz Vesser, and Tyler Troutt (pitching) seem to be Blount Co best of class. WB looks strong. Maryville bats woke up but they are sliding..Alcoa's defense and bats went south..Heritage is still Heritage. Most of the best pitchers didnt see action because of district games this week.
  16. Maryville Rebels hope to get back to winning ways with Dalton Curtis back on hill. Rebs beat Lenoir City last night. William Blount playing well. Beats West. WB hiiting and getting nice pitching. Hammontree with strong relief. Saunders and Williams providing the Sticks. Tyler Troutt and Chaz Vesser leading Alcoa to sweep of Cak. Now 5-0 in district. Troutt with 3 dominating outings. 23 Ks in 12 innings vs Cak. Alcoa playing good defense right now. Heritage still getting good pitching and still waiting on bats.
  17. Much better game in rematch at Alcoa tonight. Troutt gives up 1 earned run and struckout 10 in 6-2 win over CAK. Game was close at 3-2 when Alcoa had back to back triples and extended the lead to 6-2. Troutt retired the side in 7th for the win. That gives him 23 k's in the last 12 innings pitched against a good CAK team. Alcoa 's bats starting to come around.
  18. Yesterday was rained out.
  19. That kid is so underrated it ain't even funny. His performance was even more dominating than a no-hitter...striking out 13 of the 15 outs and no recognition. Nothing in knox paper and nothing really in blount paper. On the flip side...CAK gets chance at rematch today at Alcoa. I say CAK gets the win. They should hit better on Alcoa's #2. Big dropoff. I have seen quite a few knoxville and blount pitchers throw this year already. I try to go to a different game each night. Lots of tallent on the mound. Here is my favorites so far: 1. Troutt @alcoa vs Cak 2. Owenby @powell vs ac Those two ahead of class...but here are some other nice pitchers I have seen throw this year. Clifton@heritage Slagle@Grace Raby@farragut Norton@heritage I am sure there a more that i plan to get to. Great baseball played in knox and surrounding areas.
  20. Alcoa with run rule win 11-1. Troutt goes all 5 striking out 12 or 13 batters while giving up two hits. Keck for Cak struggled with control but got no help from defense. Errors were costly early. Ogle and Love added homers for Alcoa.
  21. William Blount led by Hunter Saunders (Carson Newman) and Coy Williams. If pitching holds up,they will have good season. Heritage loaded with pitching. Trevor Clifton,Jacob Burns, Tyler Hopkins lead the way. Heritage will need to play small ball and get some timely hits. Heritage vs WB should be a good one. Maryville went undefeated at Disney. Hitting led by Jacob West. Raby, Leonard, Curtis will pitch in on mound. Dalton Curtis will be the ace. Team is solid and will contend with Farragut. If Curtis is on and healthy...can beat Farragut. Alcoa received bad news with Senior Waters out with mono. Vesser (Vol St) and Troutt (Chatt St) are in mid season form hitting. Troutt will anchor the pitching. He has looked really good so far. They will need to find a #2. Division 1 Tallent: Williams- WB West-Maryville Curtis-Maryville Troutt-Alcoa Vesser-Alcoa On radar- Saunders- WB Clifton- Heritage
  22. Not sure how Troutt was overlooked by Division 1 schools. Do you know if he had any other offers? I would have thought Tennessee would have looked at another lefty to go with Owenby. Troutt seemed to be sitting around 85 with some nasty movement. Great change and curve. I also agree that he is a good kid. Very fun to watch.
  23. Zach Slagle at Grace and Tyler Troutt at Alcoa are the best I have seen out of the gates for AA in the Knoxville/Blount area. Slagle has a good sinker but will need better defensive support. A friend told me Troutt is one of the hardest throwing lefty's with movement he has seen so far in AA. Slagle going to Tusculum and Troutt to Chattanooga State. These two should have big years to come.
