  1. Td2- I haven't had to hand out my here's your stupid sign awards this year so feel honored you are this years only recipient. Looking back through your posts you have created a pattern over the last two years of being about misinformed and removed from reality as possible. You started off last year with d1 vs d2 predictions that were asinine . You were saying kids would win that had been not only beaten but destroyed by their counterparts. You clearly don't have a very good pulse on the Tennessee wrestling scene. It's a shame with the ease of simply looking up results on Trackwrestling that you are so uneducated. On to your posts from this past week. Below are some key points others have proven you wrong on. 1) Knoxville only has 1 region 2) The state duals are regional all star teams, of course with the 70 or so weight classes there are going to be some regions where the number 1&2 kids in the state are from the same region and one doesn't get to wrestle in the state duals. I bet it's actually quite common and I would be willing to bet in some cases the top 3 are in the same region. 3. The Tennessee law is the no smoking law. It is not against the law to use smokeless tobacco. I just looked up the actual law and you can as well. It even defines smoking for the educationally challenged such as yourself. You are correct that it is against the federation rules but definitely not a law. 4. There are no paid Aau directors contrary to what you claimed. 5. The Aau trailer was donated not bought for $5,000 I could go on and on with all your idiotic posts. The bad thing is I don't even have any first hand knowledge, I simply did a little research. You should try that before posting insane comments. In conclusion it appears your son didn't win the state and didn't get picked to be on the duals team for his region. You have an ax to grind and want to blame the brackets, directors, rules and so on. Hopefully your son is learning from this sport and not by the example you are setting for him. As far as calling out people for outlandish behavior you should be very careful. That is slander and could get you in some legal trouble. There is not one person on here who thinks those guys were drinking because unlike you they have character.
  2. King was winning by 3 going into the second period. Landers got the first takedown and king reversed him to his back to go up by 3. King chose bottom and got cradled 30 seconds into the period.
  3. 6$ an hour? How are you figuring that? I think they work hard and deserve to be paid accordingly. I know I've helped at kids tournaments and they are paid 20$ an hour. This includes paying them while on break and in between sessions. I have no idea what tssaa refs are paid but I guarantee its more than 6$ an hour and I'm sure they pay for their hotel and probably food as well. Like I said they deserve to be paid well so I'm not complaining
  4. Lol, plus Cbhs wouldn't have to wrestle him. True he's learned the life lessons already but wrestling is still the best conditioning there is as well as overall body strength , leverage and balance . Almost every top lineman that wrestled says wrestling made them the linemen they are. The Baylor people told me coach Franklin at Vandy wanted Gougher to wrestle for that very reason. As far as lifting and getting stronger I'm sure he can find the time. Heck look at Cbhs, doesn't look like their kids missed any workouts . As far as cutting weight goes he will gain it back within two weeks.
  5. The medals aren't as near as nice as the medals the kid wrestlers get. Did you see that championship belt they had on display at the booth by the front doors? That thing was pretty cool.
  6. He works with kids from there? That's odd because I asked two starters who he is and they don't have a clue. Then I asked three parents of wrestlers on Boskens Higher Calling Team and they don't know him either. Are you guys on the right message board ? Did you mean Cleveland Ohio?
  7. Nothing prepares you for football more than wrestling, especially for big guys. You can't duplicate the leverage, balance, complete body workout and just plain toughness in the weight room.
  8. 106- Murphy dec navaro d-1 (0) d2 (3) already beaten him this year 113- Oliver decs Debien d1 (0) d2 (6) oliver pinned him last time but all other match ups have been close. Debien simply too good to get pinned again. 120- Stevens dec Elsea d1 (3) d2 (6) this is a toss up in my opionion but stevens does have a win over Elsea this year. 126- Gray dec Oliver d1 (3) d2 (9) you put stevison in at this weight. He is 120 and didnt win the state. Oliver won the state at this weight. Gray has a win over him this year but a close one. 132- Connell dec Hamilton d1 (3) d2 (12) Connell has already beaten him this year but Hamilton is tough and this would be another good match. 138- Olson dec lankford d1(3) d2 ( 15) another toss up, no common opponents, going with d2 as 138 was weak in d1 but lankford might pull it off. 145 marchetti dec Freeman d1 (3) d2 (18) not sure if these two have met. Freeman is tough and could pull it off, again going with d2 due to tougher opponents. 152 Baker pins Dickerson d1 (3) d2 (24)- not even close 160- Popp majors Clark d1 (3) d2 (28)- Popp already beat him 8-0 170- Solomon dec Parker d1 (6) d2 (28) True toss up on this one. 170 was very week in d2 besides Walthall and he got upset in the semis. 182- Henry M.d Hoodenpyle d1 (10) d2 (28) not sure if they wrestled but West Md Hoodenpyle so its safe to assume Henry would atleast do that as well if not pin. 195- Boykin dec Garstin d1 (13) d2 (28) - Not sure if they wrestled but Boykin is tough. Would be another good match 220- Amos dec satterfield d1( 13) d2 (31) Amos has already dec him. Amos does not lose period. Hwt- Reagan dec Robertson d1 (16) d2 (31) Ow- Baker Best Match Debien vs Oliver
  9. I would give you an award but Im sure I already have. The biggest questions is who has more of my awards, you are sommers?
  10. Way to jump on the bandwagon. How long ago was this? Ive never seen you coaching these kids. Congratulations you have earned my award.
  11. Nobody backed down. As I stated I was at work and now I need to sleep. Why is not surprising you would side with them? Lol I am bored with the topic . They state one thing and try to dilute the facts with mass volume. It probably works on simple minded people as yourself but not on me. It also doesn't work on anyone who watched the match in question. As far as smwrestling claiming I am personally attacking ghouse isn't that what ghouse did to start this whole thing? I never questioned Ghouses commitment to the sport but that doesn't give him the right to personally attack programs and coaches. If his dedication over the years gives him free reign then I guess you could say the same for the Baylor coaches. I would say they have devoted quite a bit of time as well wouldn't you? Nobody cares if they write intelligent well thought out posts. Right is right and wrong is wrong and if you are going to call out people you better hitch up your big boy pants and expect the same treatment. I would award you with another stupidsign soms but you already have enough of them.
  12. Last post as I have to get back to work. The life of the common man is rough sometimes. I will leave all you dii people to fight your own battles. You seem to be missing the point. The point is cbhs and ghouse or smwrest are not the moral police or gods of the Tennessee wrestling world. Its not your place to question other people or write essays proving you are better or smarter than everyone else. This whole post was about Baylor vs McCallie but yet ghouse wants to interject and somehow say the Baylor program and its coaches are not of his standard. Well, thats his opinion but Im not sure what he's basing it on or why he would think anyone would care what he thinks. I think if you took a poll most would put Baylors, Father Ryan, McCallie and all the other dii schools standards and actions much higher than those of Cbhs. Thats my opinion anyway based on how I see the wrestlers conduct themselves and what I hear the dii people saying. Nobody put a young man at risk. You are basing that on a parents post that you twisted around. As far as throwing rocks, you opened that door and thats exactly why I responded. I never mentioned a single name only actions of wrestlers. I think the two wrestlers you mentioned are the best two wrestlers in the state. I was using that as an example of how maybe you shouldn't throw stones though when you have your own issues. As far as the one being kicked out I have only seen him wrestle a few times the last two years at the Cleveland duals but in two of the instances he was called for illegal/unnecessary roughness. Neither of the matches were close or contested as he was clearly the better wrestler and much more physically developed. I don't need to watch Iowa wrestling as you advised. This is not Iowa wrestling. There is a difference in wrestling in College and wrestling a 14-15 year old freshman you are clearly better than and just cross facing him hard for no reason. As far as the taunting on the mat there is no excuse for that and I love how you have never acknowledged that. You bring up them staying after practice or you bring up a match with Father Ryan and how he head butted your kid. You cant divert attention away from the issues at hand no matter how hard you try. There is a difference in wrestling tough and physical and doing things you shouldn't. Kids will be kids, they all come from different backgrounds and have different personalities and we all know that. But when you have things you really need to fix maybe you shouldn't point out what you think other peoples or programs faults are or say you dont respect them based on your faulty view of the circumstances. When you do that you open the door for people to express why they dont respect you. Thats what was done here and obviously it touched a nerve. Decipher, distort, and twist my words around all you want . Post until the cows come home but I have said all I have to say to you smwwrstling and ghouse. By the way I think most would agree Cleveland is the best program in the state. Not only by the scores but the way their wrestlers and fans conduct themselves.
  13. Thank you for correcting us all again and gracing us with your infinite knowledge. After reading through all the posts it appears your sidekick ghouse twisted the words of a parent to fit his own agenda. I do not believe it was ever said the wrestler wasnt medically cleared to wrestle. I would think the Baylor staff, the wrestler or his parents wouldnt put him out there if they werent all ok with it. You want to call people on whats wrong but you dont like it when people point out all your own faults and inability to correct them. As far as the move in question you are losing all credibilty. I was standing at the top of the Baylor section and saw the chicken wing/ arm bar clearly as I was right in line with it. I yelled out along with about 50 Baylor parents, coaches and wrestlers at the exact same time the ref deemed it neccesarry to stop the match and award a point. Do you honestly think this was a well orchestrated pre-planned maneuver by that many people to gain an advantage? Could it be possible that you and ghouse couldnt see it from your angle on the rail where you were standing on the opposite side of the wrestlers? Maybe it was a distorted view for ghouse since he was jumping up and down like a girl at a Justin Beiber concert the entire match.
  14. Whose side are you on In Hoc? I thought you were one of the good guys.
