  1. Any boys interested in playing for the Tennessee Tigers 13U AAU boys basketball team please contact Coach Cleve Harris @ 615-301-3646 or Cathy Boyd 615-604-3596 or e-mail frank@tigerhoops.org.
  2. FRA and DL did not earn the right to play in the Region because they could not get it done it District. That gives me no reason to think they would have done any better than the other 9AA teams did in Region.
  3. If East Lit is allowed to play a tough physical game, they have a chance against Marshall County. If the game is called even somewhat tight Cinderella is going to lose the glass slipper. Marshall County can match size and athleticism and have better shooters.
  4. Girls have been using it in AAU for years and the expense is not near what you would think. I tend to think it has more to do with tradition than anything.
  5. I am a huge CPA fan and I have no problem with Lipscomb stalling. Its tournament time so as a coach you do what you feel gives your team the best opportunity to win. The game was played within the rules of the TSSAA. It may not be the kind of game some people were expecting but like was posted earlier CPA has used the same game plan to win games. Again its tournament time, anything is possible, on any given night anyone is capable of being beat or beating someone, thats what makes it exciting to me.
  6. At the end of the night when it was all said and done, all the shoulda, coulda, woulda's in the world don't mean anything. CPA won, David Lipscomb lost. End of story. Lets move on to the region, and best of luck to all 9AA teams.
  7. I think it was probably the most exciting boring game I have ever seen. CPA's ability to attack defensively was greatly reduced when Miller was called for his second foul 2 minutes into the game. That in itself definitely limited CPA defensively. Miller picked up his fourth foul less than half way into the fourth quarter and further altered CPA's ability to be aggressive defensively. I believe it was like watching a great chess match. Boring for the most part but quite exciting when a move had to be made.
  8. I did not see any name calling, someone just stating the facts as you are so good about doing. It does not appear that you handle the truth very well either.
  9. Your arrogance and sarcasm is amazing. It really does not matter to me how bad Ezell may beat CPA or whom ever because at the end of ther day I am not you and that makes for a great day.
  10. Actually all 3 are high academic students especially Miles and Gary Pope, and maybe just maybe their parents wanted them to attend a high school where academics are held to a higher standard. I will just leave it at that. And don't use the argument that the public schools they attended hold the academic standards as high as Ensworth. Ask any of the 3 what school program was tougher and more demanding, the public school system they were a part of or Ensworth. I am a graduate from a public school system and I can tell you I was not prepared for college like these kids will be.
  11. Just for the record Zaccheus Mason will have sat out a year. As of October 28, 2006 He will have sat out an entire year from any participation in any high school sports for any school. So yes CPA does play by the same rules as everyone else and if you knew anything about CPA you would know if they error it is always on the side of TSSAA.
  12. Zaccheus Mason has been at CPA since the 6th grade. However last year he left CPA for Davidson Academy for the spring semester but came back to CPA this Fall.
  13. Shawn Kennedy is a great shooter, has range from 25+, I don't know that I would say it is the prettiest shot though. He is also a junior and at FRA now, not a sophomore.
  14. Any boy in the 5th grade or does not turn 12 before Sept. 1, 2006 and is interested in playing AAU basketball. Please contact Cleve Harris @ cleve@tigerhoops.org or Frank Miller @ frank@tigerhoops.org.
  15. Any current Freshmen interested in playing with the Tennessee Tigers please contact Drew Maddux @ drew@tigerhoops.org, Cleve Harris @ cleve@tigerhoops,org or Frank Miller @ frank@tigerhoops.org. We have had trouble with our e-mail addresses but they are now working fine.
  16. The Tennessee Tigers 15U Boys AAU basketball team will be holding tryouts for any interested freshmen. Try Outs will be held late February or early March. We will be posting the actual dates by mid February. Drew Maddux and Cleve Harris will be coaching the team this year. Any interested freshmen can contact Frank Miller at frank@tigerhoops.org.
  17. Coach Cleve Harris is definitely coaching the Tennessee Tigers 15U boys AAU team this year.
  18. Valid point but not always so if you've had transfers coming in or players coming late from football.
  19. I don't think they should count because it allows coaches the opportunity to play different rotations, check out players to see who are game players and who are practice players, make decisions on player personnel, as well as making other coaching decisions without the pressure of having to win. Just my opinion. I have seen games go both ways where it is obvious each team wants to win at all costs versus teams that still want to win but are looking down the road to get the wins at the end of the season versus the beginning.
  20. CPA defeated Fairview by 5 or 7, something like 41 to 34 or 36.
  21. Others that I know of that will make noise as freshmen are Thad McHaney of BA, Evans Webb from Lipscomb, Daniel Parker - BGA, Joseph Sloan - MBA, and Drew Bledsoe and DJ Key of Fairview.
  22. Tavares played for Dupont Tyler middle last year, he was one of the metro middle school players of the year. For CPA #20 - David Anderson, #23 - Hunter Miller, and #5 - Will Chapman
  23. Harpeth did have the "he's a freshman" chant going. Good player. However CPA was playing three freshmen of their own. David Anderson, Hunter Miller, and Will Chapman.
  24. Ensworth has three freshmen that will make some noise this year. Tavares Jefferson, Miles Asafo-Adjei, and Gary Pope.
