Grundy at Cheatham: Round One Matchup
Rebel1989 replied to howdoitknow's topic in Class 3A & Class 4A
Shoulda.. Coulda... Woulda... Looking at the score it was 69 to 30. The defense held them to 30 points and the offense scored everytime they were out besides once. As of right now. You are heading back home and CC is preparing for FV -
And that big o-line has gained so much hype from the first meeting between FV and CC. That game is what began the absolule domination by the O-line of CC. It should be a great game.

Roll tide. After watching Grundy play against Grace. This could be a very very long night. They do pass the ball rather well. But this is when you allow the qaurterback to just sit in the pocket. The whole year this CC defense has brought the house -
Polls mean nothing in the playoffs my good sir. SC has shown how good they are and how good they can be. FV has lost to 2 undefeated teams this year, and an alright Page team who they should've not lost too. They are the underdogs because they are going up against there weakness. The big, run it down your throat type of team. That was apparent when against CC and Giles. And to add more, they have to travel to SC. Which in that staduim, there is a 12th man
-
I'm not saying the SC kids are slow.. By no means did they look slow 3 years ago when they came here to little ole Cheatham County. Just don't overlook those guys SC3.
-
Once again.. Beware of the fast kids. The difference between this game and the CC and FV game is this time FV maybe the underdog. Not alot of people believe y'all have what it takes to take down SC. I believe otherwise. Goodluck

Camden gave CC a run for their money this year, we might get to see a rematch in the future. With Qaud 3 being stacked it will be hard for both
-
I'm gonna keep posting for you SC fans and warning you. 21 and 10 are absolutely the most dangerous backs I've seen. CC was able to beat on the FV defenseand keep those guys off the field. If you score quick, you give those guys chances, especially 21 as a kick returner.

I've never been to the Brickyard. However them boys down in SC sure do know how to set cannons off, make the visiting team park 5 miles away, and have about 7000 people there screaming down inside a bowl. So get your Jackets ready Juno and Jacketman.

If CC wins against Grundy, next week will be another "game of the week" with either one of these teams. Respect for both. Let's hope the "Swarm" is ready to play in the craziest environment yet for them.

Cheatham @ Harpeth: The River Rivarly
Rebel1989 replied to howdoitknow's topic in Class 3A & Class 4A
Even if you do throw the rivalry card in this game, Cubs should roll, and roll big if Harpeth can't stop this run assault. -
Cheatham @ Harpeth: The River Rivarly
Rebel1989 replied to howdoitknow's topic in Class 3A & Class 4A
With that in mind. A good rivalry is one that involves trash talk. It creates a sort of drama around the game. Who is the best in the county has always been the rivalry between Sycamore, Harpeth, and Cheatham County. Let's take this years game for example. Harpeths qaurterback is the brother of a CC cornerback. That is the perfect scenario. Can little brother score over big brother? Even last years game when Harpeth traveled to CC. I think the kids name was Tice, from Harpeth, was into it with #67 from Cheatham. It would be boring to watch a game that was only for wins and losses. Once you bring that rival mentality into it. That's when you make good games, and when you make good upsets. I hope the Cubs are ready. -
"Handling" someone is not beating them 19-20. Is your team ready for such teams like CC, CPA, and Milan again? Get past thoughs teams and we will talk about y'all playing Alcoa and CAK without mercy rule.

Cheatham @ Harpeth: The River Rivarly

The Cubs got hurt last night by runs up the middle by Creekwood, however the Cubs D had a few takeovers and Creekwood went for it every 4th down. Mitchell Potts last night showed why he is a very good weapon for the Cubs offense. With 5 touchdowns, Cheatham County rolled 42-0 over Creekwood. Harpeth is hosting the Cheatham County which may be a bad night for the Indians. -

Harpeth may be in a "win and you're in" suitation. Waverly might be aswell?

2012 TN Titans Mr Football Awards: Class AA Lineman
Rebel1989 replied to CoachT's topic in Class 3A & Class 4A
CC's 67 and 87 are both great lineman. 67 was out for a couple of weeks from my understanding. But he is back now. Both played in one of the best trench wars I've seen in Week 0 against Fairview. -
Let's hope we can see CC in Cookeville
