  1. Actually you’re not, since I have no idea who you are? Wasn’t meaning in coacht terms. I’ve never heard our band do it in the short time I’ve been here, nor have I ever before last night anywhere else I’ve been. Returning the favor is one thing, which I still don’t agree with, but this wasn’t that.
  2. You can defend it all you want, but I stand by what I said. I’ve only heard one HC fan say it wasn’t petty, and that was our PC guy. I don’t think I’ve said anything disrespectful at all. You and everyone else in Gallatin just disagree, and that’s okay. There were a few other things that rubbed me wrong too, but I let those go to focus on the topic at hand. The Gallatin fans I came into contact with were very cordial and friendly. I have no control over anyone else’s posts but my own. Oh, and I’ve seen two flags thrown for this very thing. One in 1993 and the other in 1999. The only reason I say that is because you’ve mentioned it twice now. Good luck to you guys.
  3. I’m just a traditionalist I guess. Unwritten rules (even though it actually was a rule until 2003), gentleman’s agreement, sportsmanship, you know.. those type things. I wouldn’t call it complaining really, it’s more of just calling someone out on their petty bs when they try to act like it was innocent. I was actually excited to go to Gallatin, because all I heard were great things. I was very disappointed in the entire experience. Outside of the game, of course. Good luck to you guys, you have a heck of a band.
  4. When you have to bring up the past because the present doesn’t fit the narrative
  5. If our concession stand did some bush league stuff like that, I’d call them out for sure. Because that’s about as bad as the band playing post snap.
  6. No one’s saying it had an effect on the game, obviously that’s not the case. If anything it fueled the entire Big Red posse. Doesn’t change the fact that it wasn’t innocent like you try to portray, it was used as a possible advantage, and it backfired. I’m just calling a spade a spade here guys, sorry if you’re offended. You’ve never been to Henry County and heard artificial noise, or a band play, during a post snap play. You’ve heard a loud crowd of proud fans yelling and screaming, but never that. I will let it go whenever you stop replying, but until then I’m camped out. You wouldn’t be so defensive if you weren’t a guilty dog.
  7. I won’t move on with replies like this. There’s no justification here. It’s not fine. It may not be against the rules anymore, but it’s not fine. It’s classless. In my day, it was a 15 yard unsportsmanlike. I would still be saying the same thing regardless where they were positioned in the stadium. I’ve been around high school football my entire life, coached in the Clinic Bowl, and this is the first time I’ve ever seen anything like this. This may be common around there, but it’s not here. And no one is questioning who the better team was, so you can move on as well.
  8. No one from Henry County uses an artificial noise maker at the snap of the play, during the play, or through a timeout. Especially on the visitors side when the bleachers are almost on the sideline anyway. I’m fine with where the band was, I’m not fine with them playing through the snap of the ball and during a timeout. That’s classless and anyone that’s ever played the game knows it. Our band and noise in Patriot Stadium stops when they break the huddle. They were hoping it would be an advantage and it backfired, simple as that.
  9. Your band playing the entire time we’re on offense is classless. Just thought I’d throw that out there.
  10. Better hope it doesn’t rain much this week.
  11. I have full confidence that the coaches and team leaders will right the ship. GBR
  12. I ain’t the one, I promise you that. Bring all the criticism you want, he’s heard it his entire life and thrives off of it. But don’t anonymously mention my kid by name on a public forum, and not expect to get called out on it. It’s not that hard to find out who someone is. We’re not talking about professional athletes, or even college players.. we’re talking about minor children playing high school football. That’s way down there with the lowest of the low.
  13. Okay so I never post on here, but I’m going to reply to this one since you want to talk about a 16 year old kid on a public forum, while hiding behind an anonymous screen name. I’m really easy to get in touch with, so how about you reach out to me personally, and we can talk about this 7th grade QB thing. If you have the balls to put your name behind your comments? Since you’re willing to let my kid’s name roll right off your tongue like it’s nothing. Most of the comments I can let slide, but when you mention a minor specifically, in a derogatory way, that’s when enough is enough. Like I said, I’m not hard to find.
  14. Westview is going to average 30-35 points a game when this season is all said and done. If they can stay healthy, they’ll make a playoff push. I hope they do, it’s not right for my alma mater to not be in the playoffs. Good luck to them the rest of the way.
  15. 32-28 HC. Young QB grew up a little last week, and the offense is just different with Foster being back. If JT is 100% and everyone else is healthy we have a puncher’s chance. I’m usually a pessimist, just think we are starting to click right now. I like getting #3 more involved on offense too, he’s a baller. And it’s at home, these kids feed off that energy. Need to bring the noise when we’re on D. GBR
  16. Thank you for that. I try to praise him but also keep him humble, and tell him to enjoy the ride instead of worrying about the destination all the time. He’s a very smart, driven, and down to earth kid.. and was watching film with his ice packs Friday night after the game when I walked into his room. I’m more proud of his work ethic and the type of man he’s becoming than I’ll ever be of him as a football player. Hopefully we’ll see some improvement this week in Hendersonville. The road definitely doesn’t get any easier. Good luck to you all as well. GBR
