  1. Any new news? Sounds bad for HHS!
  2. Here is themy TSSAA post for the boys job..it doesnt say math postition...and that is what Calahan hired..does this make sense to anyone out there..no knock on Jones.. BBK- Harriman High School (Harriman, TN) is taking applications for Head Boys Basketball Coach. Positions available at this time are Social Studies (emphasis on Economics/Government and World Geography), Special Education, and Graduation Coach. Applicants need to send resume to Bobby Clark, Athletic Director, at rlclark@roaneschools.com or fax to (865) 882-6479. Deadline to apply is July 23, 2012. (06/27/2012).
  3. Excellent point..Harriman had alot of job openings, social studies, librarian, special education, Foreign langage and graduation coach..and Calahan hires a girls coach who won't even teach at school and a boys coach who teaches math..the coaching job was posted as a social studies position..once again none of this makes sense...And that is not a good leader..WAKE UP SCHOOL BOARD!
  4. That is a lie..Balcolm applied and others did also..And Clark wasnt involved in any of the decision making...When u are the head man, u have to make good decisions and take the heat when you don't make good decisions. Go back to Cumberland Co...HHS needs better leadership
  5. Front page of Roane County News tells how Calahan handles things...School Board memebers WAKE UP! !
  6. I agree with u StrangerDanger..I have also heard other alumni that wanted the job..Coach Denard (Middle School and Assistant Boys), Coach Gallagher (Assistant Boys) many years, Coach Shillings (Head Boys andand Girls -Sweetwater), and Coach Balcolm (Assiatnt Girls -and Lenior City). I think are school board member Drake Langley -up for re-election -should take better care of his school. HHS needs a HHS alumni running the showu or someone who at least lives in Harriman. Alson heard from a inside source that a big cover up is taking place at the school. Calahan needs to go. Other alumin that don't coach have also been turned away from ther alma mater. Terry Clark (Baseball Coach) and Lori Lawson are two who recently applied.
  7. I know the reasons..the opinion of many working there and around the school are that the principal is over his head and not a good fit..The hire for the boys job hopefully will be better than the girls. And my point is HIRE people in ur community that have a stake in it..not outsiders that don't really care.
  8. Sounds like problems at HHS..Both head coaches leave the same time, sounds like an administration problem. That is what u get when u hire a person that lives in Cumberland County to be ur principal. They have no real stake in ur community.
  9. Were you trying to message me, email is bobwrick73@yahoo.com

  10. Well Turtle, heard he was AD at his last school and certified to teach about every subject..He also has 15 yrs coaching expereince in football, basketball, and baseball. Sounds like a homerun..
  11. I heard from a Harriman teacher that they have a good basketball coach that competed with AA state champs McMinn Central and is certified Administrator and librarian..That is hard to find..and he is a 1987 Harriman grad.
  12. Who is Coach Smith? Any other names being tossed out there?
  13. Im a Harriman alumni and heard Coach Shillings Sweetwater's Head Girls and Boys Coach has applied. So who are the candidates being considered? I heard they wanted to fill the position ASAP
