Jasper refused to play Grundy in any sport when they committed the violations. What they did was wrong, but they feel Grundy should not say a word about them breaking rules. Grundy refuses to play a Marion team until Jasper decides to play. I only know of one kid who left and from what im told he regrets it. The large group of the kids are going to be juniors, they were sophs last year. Contrary to the haters opinions, it would have been very tough to keep marion, SP, and sequatchie from the mercy rule. I didnt see that. I did see a kid get decleated before the onside kick crossed the 50 yard line. I saw passing in 4th quarter when Grundy trailed.

What wrong doings are you referring to? The incident last year was investigated by authorities. I think they would have acted if criminal activity had taken place.

No it wont be ok if not seeing wins next year. Yes there are juniors and seniors on the team. Not very many. Grundy has 5-6 sophomores on field and a freshman alot of the time. Thats not good. Unless your playing a JV game.

Im sure the coaches arent ok with losing. Should have beat Whitwell. After that its beem 2 good teams and Cannon who is improved. If there is a team out there winning consistently in 3A that has 5-6 sophomores and a Freshman on the field, please point them out.

Kids like being diciplined by winners. Which comes first the dicipline or the winning? If dicipline then they were diciplined by unproven coaches, if winning then coach won with undiciplined players. If kids are committed they will accept dicipline, if they are not committed either committ or quit. Kids like being diciplined by winners. Yea, kids like alot of stuff, doesnt mean its going to happen. Kids hearing trrash talk about coaches and other players is also very negative. Grundy about the adults not the kids. watertown is a good team, ranked in top 10 2a football. The SP qb wasnt playing football when he left. Is dunlap kid still playing at college? Grundy has a support problem but no lack of finger pointers. County is divided, so is Marion but they all have their own school/team. No support = poor ball. Grundy is full of people ready to blame and point, or worse run to rival schools. Sounds like a destination any quality coach is looking for.

Dont dicipline them too much or they will run to another team. Thats the environment tates in, Without change in the school system Grundy is going to struggle. Its not a kids issue, or a coaching issue, its a support issue. If all you do is fight and bicker, get a divorce.

You two should go volunteer to help, do something productive. The police involvement must mean there was an investigation, I guess it wasnt too illegal. A coach hitting a kid with a garbage can is alot different than a kid doing something to a kid. The coach is an adult. As far as who you like, its obvious your a Bryant supporter. I believe its closer to 800 students. If fighting goes on long enough, people just need to part ways. There is no threat of sports and academics going down. Its like everybody on here says, kids leave looking for better opportunities in academics and athletics. Dont be afraid to put kids first and do what is best for their academics and athletics. The current system has not been good to either. Yes you can blame them. You stay with your school through good and bad. They are not pro athletes, very few have college football ability. You dont run to a rival school period. If you do, you got deeper issues that were the real reason you were not getting the success you wanted, but hey blaming other people and taking easy way out seems to be the norm on the mountain. Assistant that are good help im sure would be appreciated, Id also say a little community support wouldnt hurt either. If that county cant get along then they need to divorce and both ends be better off and not keeping each other down.

The Bryants resigned. They are done coaching. They dont coach anywhere. Did they have good players when they were there? Yes. Those kids didnt transfer, only transfer was QB. They graduated. Bryant resigned at a good time. He knew talent was down its a smart move. There are no Nolans or Bramhalls or Rheas or Cleeks on this team. Its a handful of seniors left from Bryant and sophs and freshman. You can twist it how you want but tates a sophomore coach with a sophomore team.
