This was a BIG win for LA & we are so proud of our team. I think some of the talk now comes from before the game started when WH fans were saying Dunn was the only one could score, Gaines is the best & stuff like that. When your team proves people wrong.....You have to say I told you so just a little /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> I do agree some stuff on here has been to much. You should be able to tell when the kids post(not LA players). Melton would have their butts if he caught them talking smack. I think it is over now....maybe. Good luck to White House. I know Adam's dad played did TJ or Will's play? Shoot you could pick any of these boys. Kendall Melton took a good lick last night & got up.....I bet he would make a tough player. Did Adam Wilson not play some football at one time? I know I got off topic but you made a good point.

I respect that you stand by what you think but in all fairness you didn't get the full picture of 7AA by just seeing our district tournament. LA, Upperman & York have good teams. We give you full respect cause we know your Region always has good teams. York is a scrappy bunch of girls....they fight tooth & nail for the ball. Just some warning.....York will bring it. I haven't watched McMinn this year but I know they have a good team or they wouldn't be setting where they are. Everyone has good & bad games & I don't think you saw both sides of our teams by our district games. York has 2 girls that can shoot the time out of 3's....one girl hit five 3's against us in season play & hit 6 3's in region play(not sure who they played). The other is a triple threat...she handles the ball, shoots the 3, & takes it to the goal. They all can play when they want to. I will let you do your own research /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" /> I will have to agree with you that York doesn't go deep to their bench....that is a big disadvantage cause they are wore down by the last quarter. Don't let that fool you though.....they will jump out early & they can afford to lose points in the last quarter. King 21...probably not the best comment to make about our gym. Apparently I don't care who brought it up. I didn't see the whole cheerleading thing.....I don't know who did what. If it did happen....I'm sure the coach will take care of it. Did the girl get hurt? Yeah Gaines crushing Melton looked bad but that was just one of the many plays I'm talking about. You were there....it was like a football game. Play 4 Fun, I will have to agree with you about TJ........he has been really fun to watch this year. He can do it all...handles the ball well, shoots the jumper, shoots the 3, & can jump like a cat!

We can keep it? Oh so your going to base your opinion on that incident. Which I didn't even see anything...who did what? Last night I saw our guys get knocked down, fell on, & thrown into the crowd. I guess I will say that if WH is all about what I saw last night....you can keep it. You worry about the cheerleaders let us worry playing ball. LA...I am so glad I went this was a Great Game!!!! R3D5FAN, Think about it.....if you pick 4 girls off the 1st place team you are leaving one starter out. I wouldn't want that to be my kid....that would make you feel awful. Awards can be a double edge sword at times....it can help ones who need recognition but it can put strife in a team(fans, players...etc.) You guys were asking about York....they are a well rounded team. No height but they make up for it in other places. They are in our district & we played them 4 times this year(split 2-2). Upperman played them 4 times (Upperman 3-1). Regions 3& 4 always has strong teams.....this will be a good match up.

I don't have a dog in this race....just a fans point of view. I??™m going to call it like I see it. I will have to agree that Brown is a good ball player but to say she was the real MVP is stretching it a bit. Granted she may have had a good game but you have to look at all the Region games to determine MVP. Davis killed us when we played them & it wasn't just a fluke....the kid plays like that all the time. Brown is a good player for York but just my opinion Eacret is a more consistent threat than Brown. From what I hear Eacret has a really good personality to. We have played both teams numerous times this year & I dread Upperman more than York. Not taking anything from York but Upperman has so many big players that step up. York has a great ball club & Story has done an outstanding job with these girls. I think both teams had a good season & I hope it carries on through post season??¦??¦good luck to both. By the way Upperman/York one of your teams better make the best of it this year because LA will make it to the Regional final next year!! Big win for Melton & boys. I know there is alot of hype over Chase & his 49 POINTS...I can't even find words to say how amazing that is!!! The team played great D....a little foul trouble but it worked out. Todd & Chase both had big free throws at the end. Good Job LA!!!! Chase Dunn is such a talented kid! I'm glad people from other areas had a chance to see what he can do. Everyone in this area knew it??¦.. now everyone knows it.

I have always known Davis was a good player....after last nights performance she definitely proved she should be AA Miss Basketball. I have read that she is going up against girls that have already signed with big schools.....If this Davis were a senior her name would be followed by a big division I school to. She has earned respect from coaches, players, & fans. LA has played Upperman three times this year & this kid posted 31, 14, & 32 against a ball club like LA that is known for strong talent....that should impress people. Good luck Lashay Killer should be on this list next year.....she keeps getting better every year!

The game could have gone either way & it did come down to the last shot. LA has a lot to be proud of??¦.a very good season! Killgore most definitely a KILLER inside??¦..she is such the triple threat. Inside/Outside shooting, good D & a heck of rebounder. M.Sells showed why she was freshman of the Year. This girl will be starting next year??¦.she has paid her dues. A.Sells is a shooting threat and a great defender??¦she can pick your pocket at anytime.West has stepped up so much this year??¦..good D & she will stop any teams run with a few 3??™s back to back.Car may not get noticed as much as the others but she will etch away at you with her 3??™s??¦.don??™t doubt because she can shoot em. Taylor is a leader. I know she is small in stature but big at heart??¦.she hustles like no other. We will be back strong as ever next year. I have to give credit where it is due??¦.. Upperman held on to this win. Davis & Dyer were the difference in this game. When Maynord & Roberts fouled out I just knew we had this game but then Taylor fouled out & I was a little nervous. It was a good game all the way to the last shot. I like watching Davis when she??™s not playing us of course lol??¦.she is a tremendous ball player. Lashay Davis proved tonight why she should be Miss Basketball. She scored 32 point against a ball club like LA??¦that should impress people. LA has a reputation for having strong ball clubs??¦.this year being no different. LA has a lot to be proud of! Good Luck to the Bees. LA??¦.. next year we will be even stronger! GO HOGEYE!!!

Congrats to Laken Leonard & Lashay Davis.....both of these girls are great players. It's good to see two girls from the Upper Cumberland on this Elite list of 15.

lol well honestly the only one I knew should most definitely get it was Kilgore. The other was truly a toss up.....they chose Taylor & I respect that. I will say I thought A.Sells & M. Sells had a good tourney.

Saying that is so far off base. It is true that I wouldn't get on here talk bad about these girls. But in this situation ....why would I ??? This is my team.....I like them all....granted in my opinion some stand out more than others. I watched all the tournament games & I know they didn't go by stats alone but these girls(who made all tourney)stood out to the coaches or whomever picked them. I wasn't there when they handed out the awards.....I don't know what the crowds response was? All I know is what's on here. Ok HS Football??¦??¦I??™m going to put you on the spot. What did you think about it??

Good win for Hogeye.....wasn't the best showing I have seen from LA but it was entertaining. I got a little nervous at the end but they pulled it out. Just a question....on the last call was the ball out on LA or Upperman? I couldn't tell if the call was correct? I know it doesn't matter now I just wanted to know. Congratulations to Melton & boys.....two yrs in a row.

Unfortunately your right......coaches do have their picks. Livingston's all tourney was a toss up....all of the girls did good. Killer was a shoe in but the other spot was up for grabs. Taylor's stat sheet wasn't as great as the Sells girls & West but when you watch her you see what a stat sheet won't tell you. She hustles, handles the ball well & gets the ball to the right people at the right time. Bfan, If you had to chose who would you have picked?

I haven't looked at the bracket. I guess that would be right....I was thinking about last year how LA & Upperman finished 1st & 2nd. I keep forgetting we finished 3rd.....that just doesn't seem possible. We had such a great year & alot to be proud of. it stinks both can't make it to sub......it's funny because Upperman is our biggest rival but when we go on past our district we cheer for each other. I just like to see Upper Cumberland represent!!!!

Ernie....Let me say first that an officials job is not easy. I absolutely know that is a hard job but my biggest problem with the game(let me remind you my team was not playing) is the refs set the tone early buy letting the girls get to rough. I will have to give them this.....they were consistently bad for both teams. They let defend to rough....way to much contact. hey I know as well as anyone that contact is to be expected but I'm not talking hand checks.....I'm talking a stage down from mugging!! Both teams did it but the Refs set the tone by allowing it. I know you want to let them play but remind the players they are playing basketball not football. A player will push the limits(who wouldn't) but it frustrated me to see all the SLAPS(so many) holding, pushing& WALKING. Like I said you expect contact but when it gets that rough players lose their temper. The walking thing.....to many refs let the girls palm the ball.....they do it sso they can cut with the ball but it is a carry! Coaches need to get this clear to their players

Thanks for he info. I know how LA finished we only had two girls....that had to be a hard one to pick. I thought both the Sells girls played well. I knew Killer would be one of them but the other spot was a toss up. Taylor is a hustler & a good kid(good attitude). Makenzie Sells is fun to watch.....she is the total package & she has 3 more years to develop her talent. Alissa Sells can shoot the lights out & pick your pocket at any time. Adrian West ....when she gets hot you better watch out(she has improved so much this year). Any one of these girls could have made it....Taylor stood out to the coaches. Good job LA..... gatorbill, Of course you have the "three headed monster" combo with Davis, Dyer & Maynard but I also think you are loaded with Roberts & Biles. Roberts really caught my attention the last time we played you & in this tournament. Well....let me start by saying THIS WAS A HECK OF A GAME!!!! I left after the Livingston game to come back & watch this one.....it was well worth it!!! First....The Ref's were bad for both sides. I saw some crazy calls ....not borderline just crazy. Both sides where complaining all night! Had Clarkrange won I know some JC fans would have been on here today doing the same thing. Some of these fans have taken this way to far....not just Clarkrange but JC too. Don't do this you take away from this great game that everyone has to be proud of. That being said I will give you my opinion on the matter (you know what they say about opinions). Clarkrange didn't take care of the ball when they should of & didn??™t hit free throws when they should of. Unfortunately you can't blame the ref's for that. Clarkrange definitely had the momentum going into the end??¦.. it was their game to lose. If Phillips & Reed where in OT maybe it would have been different. Maxwell, Lenard & Dyer play extremely well together (just the 3 I noticed most....nothing bad to the others before anyone says anything!)! Not bashing a kid just stating a fact.....Lenard is one of the best in this area in a long time but she carries the ball to much. Call it what you will....it looks like she walks to everyone (she should work on it before she gets to the next level.....they won't let that go). Someone made the commit about the Dyer girl stepping on Reed.....I'm sure that was an accident....don't make it sound like she was out to hurt her because I didn't see intent from any of them. The Dyer kid is one of my favorite to watch....she's good. Is Courtney Dyer kin to the Maynord??™s in Livingston?? All & all ....it is what it is. JC won a hard fought game. I left after the game to go back to watch JC & Clarkrange game. By the way.....it was a great game! Who all received All tournament in 7AA?? Killer had to of from Livingston & I'm sure Davis was MVP......who else??

Lamar Rogers is my favorite Girls Coach to watch by far!!! Best Coach in the Upper Cumberland!
