They played 2 real good teams....east ridge is very good with probably the best qb in town.

I was right first to 17 was winner. Pounder offense scored 3 times. Defense once. Polk is in for long year.on to an extremely good east ridge team. Central offense got to find a way to run it better.

Congratulations pounders... Can't wait to hear what tis will complain about..

This is true although I do pull for the owls against East Hamilton, McCallie and Baylor. Possibly Signal and if Satan ever forms a football team of demons I might pull for the owls against them too!

I think we are going to travel pretty well. Shake Shak...not sure if it was good or just have good memories from it but it has been there for 1000 years so they must be doing something right!

I think this game is really about can the pounders offense score 3 times. FIrst one to 17 wins the game! I don't see more that 30 points being scored in this game TOTAL!

I thought I really had him coming around to the positive purple side! we need to travel well and pack out the visitors side this week. Kids looked like they really fed off the crowds excitement Friday night. we need to get louder and rowdier though. Kids are calling for the crowd to get up and half the folks sit there, at least stand up and clap!

I have to think on this one a little bit. Polk is always well coached and I am still not buying into they are so young they can't beat anyone. From what I have read they sound a lot like us right now. Pretty good on defense and looking for the offense. They are probably in a better spot though because they have been running the same offense since they came out of the womb!!

Tyner has the kids to surprise sm if they lay it on the ground like last night...still think sm wins it but better not let them hang around.

Just supporting our kids and young coaches. Hard not to appreciate the work these coaches are pouring into the job. Game was not over 30 minutes And they were already in the room studying film!!! Back at the school this morning before 7.

Man this, you are the one that can not say a positive thing about this program.evey post is negative even ooltewah fans call you out on it. I know where central is. I know our struggles bit I refuse to focus on them and look at all the awesome things these kids are doing. Proving everyone wrong. There will be lows but let's enjoy the highs!!!!

Unfortunately bigdave is correct. It is a proven fact Allen will be looking for greener pasture in 1-3 seasons and he will leave your kids high and dry just like he did at Bradley, silverdale, and central. He will do some good things while there but mark our words he will quit on them.

Well not too far off in my guess in this game. I said 31-10 but eh got a few more points. All and all sounds like o line still has problems but got better. I though sm would be better but laying the ball on the ground will kill any team. Hope eh qb is OK and anyone hurt is OK for that matter!!

Funny how tis was talking about how good FC was all week until we win. Now they are a young team. What about our o line??? 2 scrimmages and a game and our new qb has not been touched. I mean not even hit.not even on the ground!!!!!! Yea the fumble in the first half was not a good call either but young coach making mistakes he will learn from. Your buddy Allen sure made lots of great calls last night didn't he? We going to improve and yes we got plenty to work on just like every other team after the first game of the year. This defense is 1000% percent better than last year or any of the last 3 years.

What up tis??? You ready to keep doubting or you wanna give these coaches a little credit? If u can't recognize that this team is more passionatea and did not quit you just refuse to believe. Did anyone notice that we had very little cramping unlike years past? Better shape? More depth? Anyone notice how many few penalties?? More discipline???

I still think will be lopsided and ugly. EH does have a pretty good looking defensive backfield so if they could make enough plays to keep it close. I think for EH to win it has to be a 13-10, 17-10 type game. No doubt SM will have 10 in the box and probably non stop pressure coming after the young qb. My guess is something like SM 31- 10 EH.

I was right in the respect a lot of point would be scored. Grundy not making easy plays.,...still think they have a great qb and that oline did not show as well as I thought they would.
