  1. They were even tooooo good to use our dressing room.Of all the teams thats come to Hampton in our long History ,this was a 1ST. And then they want to compete against us small poor Country schools. WOW We did think we were better. Turns out we were right, 54-27 better
  2. You know, I like to read all the stuff on here and kind of look for an opening to throw my little pieces of trash-talk sarcasm in when given a chance; and on the other thread, I found plenty of opportunities and planned on throwing my smart aleck 2 cents in....but then I read this, which was probably the classiest post I've read about us in the 2years I've followed the T. So, thank you.
  3. That's more like it! I knew I could count on ya! Yall gonna have a hot chocolate stand in the visitor stands for us?
  4. nah, sorry I've been awol all week. I couldn't stand all the niceties! Pujo n Pride holding hands and getting along? I almost threw up in my mouth a little...
  5. you can't be kickin fieldgoals in that cold
  6. There you go again, trying to "out" folks. What's up with that, yo?
  7. And we're not in the same league as the Webbs/other big privates you want us to align with. Maybe one day, but not yet.
  8. Agree, all these things help make our average athletes better. Helps us tremendously. All these and the fact that we have better coaching staffs(IMO) is why I think we do as well as we do. I don't say "average" athletes negatively. But send me the list of past GCA players who have moved on to play in college. It's not a long list. I don't think we "out-talent" very many teams at all in our district. Greenback had 2-3 running backs that were as good/better than any we have. In response to your admissions comment; I would be absolutely and utterly shocked if your concern was founded. I think we only want to grow our enrollment, not restrict it.
  9. It just seems like you (and others, I don't want to sound like it's just you) have always been quick to accuse us of cheating/recruiting non-stop. What's the difference? (I know the one case that will be brought up now is the ONE that happened 7years ago. Not condoning it. It may have been done for the right reasons but nevertheless, was against the rules. I think you hit the nail on the head with your statement, "we all get transfers now and again". The problem everyone has with us is that we are perceived to have an unfair advantage because we have more things to draw students/players. And that may very we'll be true. If that's what everyone came on here and gave us a hard time about, I wouldn't have a beef with that. My problem is all the crap about cheating that everyone whines about constantly. If folks would just fuss about the perceived advantages instead of the cheating, we'd all get along fine...
  10. That's your response!? Why do I think you'd have a completely different response if he had transferred to GCA instead of Rockwood? Especially if he got to play this year, which I'm certainly not sure, but I don't think he is. I watched him play bball for about 3 years, he's a good kid. But back to my original thought, I find the hypocrisy very amusing...
  11. My last post on this, I feel like I'm starting to sound petty, did you really just suggest to someone else to learn facts before running off at the mouth? Wow.
  12. Well, no it really doesn't. I even put in all caps for you. I'm not expressing an opinion either way because I really, really don't know. I said "really" twice this time instead of the all caps thing which didn't work earlier.
  13. I hear ya. I was going to say that I've often left our field/gym wondering why we can't get calls on our own home field/floor more often than I've left thinking we got all the calls. I just didn't want to be accused of whining like I tend to jump on so many others on here for doing. Everyone is passionate about THEIR team, no problem with that at all.
  14. Kyron hurt his knee and is out for year, his brother graduated. The fact that they changed schools means they were recruited? Did it ever occur to you that they decided on their own to transfer? I'm not claiming to know why, I have ABSOLUTELY NO KNOWLEDGE OF THEIR SITUATION WHATSOEVER. Most likely similar to your level of knowledge on the subject. If kids seeing the first class facilities and wanting to be part of a great program while at the same time getting a Christian education is considered recruiting, then ok. But to claim that any kid who transfers to the school was recruited by a coach is pretty rediculous, imo.
  15. I have no doubt that most away teams feel like they're victims of a little home cooking. I've sat in a gym in tellico 2 years in a row in absolute disbelief of what I was witnessing the referees do to keep/get their boys in the game. I think away teams have to into the contest expecting a few calls to go against them. The trick is to be well coached and strong enough to overcome them. The 15 yard penalty for coach interference was very unfortunate timing for GB fans, I get that. But I repeat, on 4-5 occasions, the line judged warned them to stay out of the lane. I too had a pretty good view of the fumble/no fumble, and I honestly couldn't tell if the runner was down or not. Homer call? Maybe, but home teams should get those, agree?
  16. Ignorance is bliss. You are very bliss.
  17. Well friend, the fact that you think anyone you can't beat must be cheating says more about you than us.
  18. I see you haven't changed your tune. Aren't even you getting a little tired of listening to your constant drivel? I thought with the mediocre year we're having, that at least it would put an end to the "all they do is recruit" whining out there. Guess I was wrong, once a whiner, always a whiner, huh?
  19. You know, I was going to stay out of this this year but then I read nonsense like this. I would argue that the coaches were warned. I would go as far as to say they were warned several times. In fact I would say that maybe 2 plays before the penalty, the ref told the coach that if he ran into him, it would be a 15 yd penalty. I'm not just guessing all this happened like you're guessing it didnt; I was standing about 5 ft away from it the whole night. And as far as the kids getting credit? My son and his friends seemed to be having a blast celebrating a great win against a very good football team. I don't think they'll lose too much sleep tonight because you don't think they deserve credit.
  20. Are you between 2 kids? I'll come up there
  21. Not sure. Depends how early I can get out of ktown. I hear it's going to fill up fast so I'm going to try and get there early
  22. Look, if we meet and shake hands, that might take some of the fun out of any future ribbing we want to dish out! Sure, I'd like to meet a couple HOF'ers. How can we make it happen? I'm guessing you won't be the only two there with H's on your hat.
