  1. I agree ya'll beat us and played the better game on friday, but to your comment about #20 being good, he's not good at all, he didn't have 1 point in the game on friday, he bricked about 3 3 pointers, the only shots he took all game...he's not good
  2. No no they can't play a man to man well, they havnt been able to all year, the only effective D they can play is zone, a 2-3 or box and 1, im sure they'll be playing 2-3 since they don't know clinton's team very well, im picking clinton in this one, only because the lack of depth on tennessee high's side, 2 main players, shaud johnson, and brian terrill, they have 5 players who play the whole game pretty much, and 1 that subs in every once in a while at most
  3. Alright...I'll give it to you...yall beat us straight up, ya'll played alright last night, we didn't play so well, part of it was because of your defense, Omar and Michael were not playing very well, bad shooting from the perimeter, the refs were pretty bad, but they were pretty bad both ways...you keep on talking about how we lost the one that counts, no we didn't, yea you won district 1, thats not gonna matter now, we both go to sub-state and play good teams, so now its a matter of who can win against teams they don't know how to play against very well. and as for the holding the it whole first overtime, i don't know that i agree with it, but its the same game that tennessee high has been playing all year against teams, holding it when they're ahead in the third and fouth quarter keeping it out of the other teams hands, now we're both guilty of that, but now we'll just have to see what happens at sub-state, and hopefully at state as well, a team from east tennessee hasnt gotten to the championship game since 2002 when science hill lost to white station, hopefully one of us will be state champs this year
  4. It's gonna be an unbelievable game for sure...Science Hill came out on top the first 3 times, so its gonna be tough beating that team a 4th time in a row in the same season, If they can somehow keep Shaud on lock I think Science Hill will pull it out, but we'll see
  5. I'm trying to figure out who won the games tonight...the only ones i know are Science Hill beating David Crockett, and Tennessee High beating Greenville...can anyone update me on who else won around the state in AAA boys?
  6. There are definitely going to be some close games tonight, cant wait to see them, i dunno who will come out on top, too close to call, if all teams play their best, i think science hill and tennessee high should win, but all teams dont always play their best so we'll see
  7. The loss by 8 wasnt anything to be proud of, during some parts of the third quarter, we had our 3rd string in playing west...i have to admit that one guy did a great job in the 4th with 17 points, but science hill knew they had one and started getting sloppy and not playing hard, west has two players who are pretty good though, the rest of the team isnt that strong, everyone is too afraid to have the ball, always passing it away right when they get it...
  8. thanks a lot i appreciate it, i live in east tennessee and im anxious to see who might make it to sub-state to play region 1, where my high school, science hill, plays
  9. would you happen to know what the score of the powell/heritage game is? or who won or any updates at all?
  10. If they continue to advance, say past regionals, which they should, they will face a team from sub-state that they have not faced before and they will not play the box and 1, or shut down Omar as well as local teams have recently...you have to remember, that these local teams have had 3 chances pretty much to figure out what to do against Wattad, other teams will have 1 game during the game to figure it out and figure out what to do, but by putting two guys on Omar the whole time pretty much, you free up any of the other 4 players on the court at the time Omar is out there, all of which are big scorers, we've got 11 guys that consistently play, only about 3 who don't play all that much, all of them can score
  11. In Tuesday's matchup's you have respectively: Science Hill vs. Morristown-West David Crockett vs. Morristown-East Greenville vs. Sullivan South Cherokee vs. Tennessee High Who's taking the region and winning those games? any predictions
  12. maybe those two players did a some point, but they're not consistent like bubby, omar, and ian, all of which got tournament honors, and Ian who got tournament MVP, ya'll won't do well at state because you only have two scorers who are clutch, maybe 3 with that good 3 point shooter, dont know his name, im not sayin we will, but with our depth we have a better chance of going farther, yall are tough though, just need more depth, and dont try to deny it when you use your starting 5 pretty much the whole game
  13. yea i agree...the game was officiated fairly towards both teams, no one-sided refs in the game
  14. I'll agree that the comment made by shtopper05 was rediculous, ya'll clearly didn't get rocked, but we came out on top in a close game, you make the comment about you only playing 5 starters pretty much the whole game, that just shows that you have no depth at all and we should beat you, even though we have clearly struggled to do that in the 3 games this year...and what makes you think if we both make it to the regional championship, that the outcome will be different? jw?...even when yall put 2 guys on Omar the whole time other players stepped up and took over the game, ya'll played a box 1 the whole time pretty much which pretty much put 2 guys on Omar the whole game...I'm sure if we do meet again though, it'll be another great game, and what was the deal with all your parents trying to fight students in our student section, 40 year old men out there trying to fight 18 year old kids, its a bit rediculous, can you explain that to me?
  15. I was wondering who the the Cherokee-Morristown West game? and what the score was?
  16. Tightest game this year...went into Tennessee High and beat them on their home court, then we rushed Tennessee High's home floor in celebration, our student section tonight defintely had a part in this game keepin our boys hyped up, awsome game
  17. ...or instead, they could come out to Tennessee High and watch two REAL teams play for 1st place in the District 1AAA Finals, that would be a lot more exciting than watching Volunteer any day of the week
  18. Omar played tonight...he fouled out with 5 minutes left in the game...wasn't Science Hill's best game of the year, foul trouble kept them from playing their hardest because they had to hold back a little bit..I'll give it to Estepp though, he played his heart out in the last 3 minutes of the game to take SH to the wire
  19. Unaka could beat Science Hill??? there's no way...they don't have enoguh size and depth to hang with Science Hill...Science Hill's bench is deep, Unaka wouldn't be able to last long enough of against the Science Hill D...and whoever said we're unfaithful fans for fighting for Db, just because we're fighting for them doesnt mean we don't hate them...you gotta respect a team that takes you to the wire and even beats you, and is consistently good, theres not one reason why Volunteer fan should be talking trash about Db, they didn't beat DB, they beat a team that beat db earlier in the year, that doesnt mean anything nothing else needs to be said to anyone from volunteer unless its a team they actually beat this year
  20. wow...im impressed...he's the AD at an class A school, and he gets on coacht and argues with high school students...i shoudl really bow down to this guy..im not impressed at all with this guy, i really could care less if he's the AD at Volunteer, thats really nothing to be proud of...especially since the highlight of his coaching career is beating DB twice in the span of 5 years, him arguing with a high school student really shows the intelligence of someone from Volunteer
  21. I see the Volunteer fans have given up the argument, finally realizing it's a lost cause to talk about them being better than DB, smart move Volunteer fans
  22. In District 1AAA...Science Hill, Tennessee High, David Crockett, and Sullivan South advance to region
  23. well a conference game is different from a non-conference game, especially against an A team...teams are overlooked if they are A oftentimes, teams could go about a game completely different if it were conference, assuming it actually means something, so who knows they may of still beat south this year your right, if it would of been a conference game im sure South would have gone by it differently...and next year Volunteer won't win a game in the conference...not 1
  24. In your tenure?? wow so your a graduate of high school huh? all i have to say to you is get a life and stop arguing with students still in high school, your an adult now
  25. alright...you just lost all respect because you referred to yourself in 3rd person...please never do that again...next...i can do all the trash talking i want stokomo...Science Hill is the best team in east tennessee, and one of the best teams in the state, volunteer will never beat Science Hill, i don't support DB talking trash about Science Hill because we're better, but they actually give us a good game and even beat us once this year, they are legit...Volunteer couldnt hold DB or Science Hill, so get your wins in while you can down there in A ball, cause once you move up, you won't be getting many W's at all.
